Radio Issues - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

So earlier today I was flashing my phone from a TW based rom over to a Android Open Source Project Rom, AOSP. And once booting after wiping multiple times and dalvik + Cache wipes, installed and opened to have no radio working. Also my internal storage was modded by the rom so it was in a "Emulated" folder and I have lost my backups... Any idea how to fix other than reverting to stock?

wrong Android version

i have a strange problem with wrong Android version displayed in "About Phone" section. i flashed faux123 latest ROM and EagleBlood latest as well and there is still 2.3.4 :-(
of course before every flashing i did a full wipe, then format system, then format Dalvik cache. the same before and after flashing gapps.
may it be concerned with this MOD (External Secondary RC1), which i use to change mount point of internal memory?
the android "version" that you phone has is ties to the gapps that you install. If your trying to get the 2.3.5 then you need to install your choice of ROM, then install the gapps for 2.3.5 you must have the 2.3.4 gapps.

[Q] Full wipe with dalvik cache etc. on Stock Rom

Hi,
if the upgrade to ICS is available i want to do a full wipe with factory reset before.
How is the best way and in which order is best to do a full system cleansing with stock rom 2.3.6 installed.
First deletion of SD Card an than over the recovery menu resetting the rest?

I'm no expert but why would you delete the sdcard?
Root, install CWM recovery via rom manager. Select if you have 4g or not.
load rom onto root of the sdcard
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash rom
If you want to install a custom kernel instead of the one that comes with your rom of choice
After you flash the rom
Go back and rewipe dalvik
Then flash kernel
Reboot and enjoy

There's no point in wiping the dalvik twice, and instead of wiping the dalvik in CWM I'd use dalvik-wiper.zip by Morfic. Flashable zip, and it actually wipes the dalvik.
The rest is all good to the best of my knowledge.
Full wipe with GB stock rom before upgrade to ICS
Hi,
@polobunny
on the SD memory are two folders named .android_secure and Android where Android specific things are stored in. I have read that for a new and clean system build up would be good to delete this folders before.
@sookieball
I have only the normal stock rom 2.3.6 with stock recovery (no CWM) and want to stay there.
So then I think the best way is to go over the menu and do a reset to the factory settings. Delete the to folders on the SD memory manually and afterwards I will go into the recovery menu and delete the dalvik cache and then apply the ICS update.
Why i want to to this? I have at the moment a lot of useless Apps installed and i want to refresh all and start with a clean system with upgrading to ICS. Thats all.
Wherever you read that you should stop reading there.

[Q] Encryption unsuccessful on every custom rom

facing this weird error Coming From stock GPE Rom with Stock kernel XT1032 Model with unlock bootloader i am on TWRP 2.7 this one(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2759058). Before flashing the rom I wiped the cache system partition except the internal data partition (Internal storage)

Encryption unsuccessful
Encrypton was interuupted and cant complete the data on your phone is no longer accesible
and RESET button at the bottom when i pressed that button it goes in recovery and formats something and again I am faced with that Encryption unsuccessful screen. I Tried Omni Rom too but still Facing with this error
i have never encrypeted my phone!!! pls help really wanna try this rom
Make full wipe including internal memory
everything will be wiped including the existing rom
adb push any rom of yourchoice and install it asusual
commad
adb push yorromname.zip /sdcard/
Click to collapse
all will be fine.
this error is due to the mismatch partition of ext4 and f2fs
Thanks for the help really appriciated also do I have to do everytime when flashing the rom or only for rom utilizing f2fs partition coz I really don't wanna wipe internal data every time, Also are all the custom rom based on f2fs partition? Really confused
Tried wiping internal storage still Facing same error :crying:
i believe Stock GPE uses Ext4 and all custom rom uses F2fs
So what to do really help needed??
So how do i convert to F2fs to flash custom roms

TWRP not wiping obb files

Today I flashed a rom and before rebooting, I wiped "internal storage" aka sdcard in twrp to get a completely clean start. After installing a few apps I noticed that the data in sdcard/android/obb and/or data/media/obb was not wiped. Is that a bug in twrp? Is it intended and if so, why? Are those file paths the same? Running latest twrp and cataclysm rom.

GT-N8000 google services framework keeps stopping with any ROM after Encryption error

After installing a ROM & Gapps, my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 3G & WiFi (N8000) boots into the initial setup but Clock, Calendar, Google Services Framework keeps stopping, can't complete the setup or do anything else.
Initially flashed Resurrection Remix Nougat v.5.8.5 ROM on the GT-N8000 with same steps as below without any issues, the initial setup and all google apps worked flawlessly but a day or so later was greeted with "Encryption unsuccessful" error upon booting. Went into TWRP, wiped everything, changed File system for Cache, System and Data from EXT4 to FAT, flashed ROM again with steps below, restarted and got stuck in the ROM's loading logo, loads/loops infinitely (waited over half an hour). Went back and changed back FAT to EXT4, flashed ROM again and this time it successfully got past the logo but started getting the Google framework stopping error.. someone please tell me there's something that can be done..
Steps I take
Boot into recovery TWRP 3.4.0-0
Wipe > Format Data & Factory Reset
Advanced Wipe > Wipe everything
Install ROM
Wipe Cache & Dalvik
Install Gapps
Wipe Cache & Dalvik
No errors during either of the installations, click Reboot into system
Loads into setup wizard, Google Services Framework keeps stopping continuously
Installing from Internal memory, no sd card. Installation process: https://imgur.com/a/zibaMTw
Have tried Current & Older releases of gapps (ARM-7.1-pico/nano) with multiple different downloads, same result
Cache - EXT4
System - EXT4
Data - EXT4
Micro SD card (N/A) - VFAT
USB OTG - VFAT
Have tried these ROMs with multiple downloads, same result
Resurrection Remix Nougat v.5.8.5
Slimroms Slim7
LineageOS 14.1 Nougat
Have no idea what to do at this point, anyone has a solution?
Thank you

For those who may experience similar issue..
Downloaded Stock ROM N8000XXUDNE5_N8000OLBDNE3_XXV , Flashed with ODIN, rebooted and successfully got through with no google errors and worked without any issues.
Then started everything from beginning, Installed TWRP 3.4.0 with Odin, booted into Odin recovery, did all the format data, advanced wiped everything
Downloaded Slimroms Slim7 and latest Gapps ARM > 7.1 > pico put it on internal storage, Installed Slim7 ROM > Wipe Cache & Dalvik > Installed Gapps > Wipe Cache & Dalvik, rebooted back into system and got to setup wizard with no errors, was able to set it up and it's working perfectly now..
In short just had to flash back to stock rom and start the custom rom install from the beginning.
Here's to hoping I don't get another "Encryption unsuccessful" error in a day or so..
