[Q] asphalt 6 won't work

I got asphalt 6 last night and I downloaded the extra data, and I was playing it for about an hour. Today, everytime I try to run it, it immediately force closes. I've tried different kernels, rebooted, etc.
Anyone have experience with this problem? It is a gameloft game, and I am running CM7 nightly 87 (was running same nightly last night when I installed it and played it).

I am having the same issue. I have not found a fix yet myself for cm7... Hopefully some1 smarter than myself can figure this out.

I got mine working. I received this from gameloft after waiting almost a week.
To have the game work properly, please follow these steps:
- Uninstall the game
- Delete the SD data saved on the card (the folders below)
o Example (For Hawx): SDCard\gameloft\games\Hawx
- Install the game from this link: http://dl.gameloft.com/cm/t0/0qziO3AoypU/Asphalt6Adrenaline.apk

When I download the apk from that link you provided, it allows me to install it (yes, I uninstalled the original asphalt 6 + data beforehand), but then when the application starts, it says, "This is not an original copy of Asphalt 6"

Order and Chaos gamepad support BACK!

Hi all,
For those of you who love order and chaos this is a big day
Update 1.0.8 (patched I think ) brings back our beloved gamepad!!
Just start O&C, download the new update and install.
Everything is working fine so far, it shows up in the game launcher and the gameloft store says compatible and able to purchase again (when you go there by your launcher)
Note: What I did was, clear O&C cache, delete datafolder, uninstall game, then reinstall.

I have only Thema Market Version. Installed again... First one free month gametime ;-)
Version is 1.0.8 and touchpad controls works but is not playable. The controls are very confused and buggy
Anyone have the same problem?

Did you wiped game data (could be in sdcard/gameloft ( old versions ) and sdcard/android/data ! ) cleared cache and deleted app ?.
For me gameloft games gets fuzzy when old versions and files are still there. So make sure you delete everything game related.
Also I noticed when you pauze and start the download your game files get messed up with force close issues etc. So make sure you download the files in one row without stopping it. ( This is what I experience with buggy gameloft games )

Damn XDA is fast.
I fell asleep on the data download, and meant to post this very thread after confirming that the controls were indeed, back.

I can confirm that the controls are back. Sweet. Thank you GL but I have to say... about frelling time. (Frell.... a little Farscape nod)

I cant see it in the launcher and the one from the market doesnt suport the controls...

The GL is the one that updated. You need that one.

As a general rule, I'd always recommend buying Android Market versions over anything else.
EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF GAMELOFT. What Gameloft puts on the Android Market is almost always some outdated ****; and if you're an Xperia PLAY owner, you'll find less than 5 of Gameloft's 24 Xperia PLAYable titles.
I really can't stress how relieved I am to have this working again. The touch screen controls were killin' me, and then they released an update that made it seriously unplayable.
Only complaint I have now is that, for some reason, that damn 19MB of phone storage consumption is back. They already have 1GB of the game's data moved to the SD, take that other 19MB with it! That's about 10-30 more app installs I could have.

Isn't there a gameloft market app? Maybe getting it from there will work for me...
If I go online to gameloft they don't recognise my purchase and I have to buy it again...

Google Play and application compatibility

What is the best way to get applications for the Tab Plus? The one thing that continues to be a thorn in my side is the limited selection of apps for this tablet. I'll see an application recommended or advertised, and hit Google Play and nothing, I'll check on my PC and see the app isn't available for my device.
I also have this problem with magazines on Amazon. The magazine works on the Fire but not the Tab Plus?
This is clearly a major problem for Android. Couldn't the apps just have an "intended for 7 inch screens" label or "intended for honeycomb"? If it works great, if not get your refund.

I have had that problem on some apps but when I installed it "in another way", it works perfectly. The "way" though is kind of illegal for some apps, but not for free ones.

Last version of Ustream app don't work, always show server error when try to watch a video.
Also last stumpleupon app is kind of buggy.

Wat abt apps if we install as apk. Does tat work for backward compatible appa??

i changed my build prop to one that mocks a GT-P6800 (tab 7.7) few more apps are compatible like mlb.tv on at bat app.. and some games

Could please give more information about changing build.prop? I wanted to buy Order and Chaos but it is not supported in Google Play. If i change build.prop can safely buy it and not lose anything if i change build.prop back?

ok you must root your tablet if havent so; look for the details of tablet that has similar properties as the tab+ such as the tab 7.7 or the galaxy s2; and change the following (if using the 7.7)
ro.product.model=GT-P6800
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=GT-P6800
ro.product.device=GT-P6800
btw order& chaos game shows as purchasable.... not sure what would happen if you switch back i haven't; don't see the need.

Thanks, i dealt with this problem easier. Went to gameloft site and bought O&C there (is it cheaper to buy it there anyway) and just chose P6800 as my device. Installed the game, runs without problems. Just in case anyone wants to buy O&C.

Lady Gaga - ARTPOP app

So Gaga and the TechHaus released the ARTPOP app today, for now it seems to be compatible only with Galaxy s4, s3 and HTC One. Have anyone from XDA be able to get the apk and run it on Note 3?
P.S. For my note 3 it says "app isn't compatible with your device". For s3 it seems some people too get "app isn't compatible" but others can download it :\ can you guys download it?
can't post link cuz I don't have 10 posts even tho ive been on xda for over a year -___- anyway just search ARTPOP Google Play on PC and it will be in first results
Edit: I managed to download apk via some google play apk downloader, it then downloaded data itself (apk was 10mb, total size that google play shows is 359mb) without giving errors but once it booted it was just black screen like other people's reports... (that means that app isn't "not compatible", just techHaus enabled downloads only from sgs3,4 and htc one)

I wasn't able to install on my S3 (it says that the app is incompatible).
I've installed the apk on my Note but it doesn't download the data file, it gets stuck on "starting..." screen.
But the weird thing is that the app is compatible and I've successfully installed it from the google play on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500).

It seems they updated the data cuz after downloading on first start it plays "Aura" from the iTunes Festival (live version, u can hear the crowd) on repeat but still black screen, then when i close it and start app again it plays the old weird sounds, funny thing even after clearing cache/clearing data it still plays the weird sounds instead of Aura...

Nexus 5 missing from play store listed devices

Hi there
has anyone experience this or know of a way for me to get this fixed ? today I went into the play store from a laptop using chrome and found the app I wanted and click install but from the drop down menu where I select which device to install to the nexus 5 is missing, it was fine yesterday, my other devices are all there only the Nexus 5 is missing.
any ideas suggestions ?

Go to the playstore on your nexus instead?

Are you logged in with the correct account? Maybe someone changed user on you.

if that app isnt compatible with the nexus 5 then it wont show up in the drop down.

Yes I can go to the play store using the Nexus 5 but sometimes I am web surfing come across a link and install the app from there, Yes I know if the app is not compatible it will not show the nexus , the issue has been fixed, The issue is going into the play store settings and the nexus 5 was not listed, it was yesterday and for some reason today disappeared, shortly after contacting Google and they offered some suggestions that did not work, but shortly after that I got the 4.4.2 update installed it rebooted the phone cleaned out the web browser history and now all is good the nexus shows up on the play store like before, something must of got messed up with the Nexus 5 and syncing or something but all is good now
