Factory Reset a chinese made tablet. - General Questions and Answers

I have this Sanei n77 tablet. and it locked with too many pattern attempts. (My Brother thought it was pretty fun.) it asks for google username ans password but as the tablet had been given to me by my uncle i dont know it. Plus internet connection is not there too.
I figured Factory reset would be my best bet. So tryied to boot into recovery mode through different hardware combinations (Vol - + Power | both vol + power | Vol+ + power. is there any other combination?) No success. so i tried it through adb. no Success. apparently usb debugging is off.
Now what? any directions? is there a way to allow me to try the pattern again as i know it? is there another way to boot into recovery?

Hi,
I am not a developer. This will be my first smartphone/tablet.
I ordered a N79 from eBay (Chinese manual only) and plan to activate it on Page Plus Cellular. I foresee many frustrating problems and hope you will please help me.
Do you have a user manual in English, and if so, could you please email it to me?
Also, if you think I made a big mistake, let me know and I will cancel the order.
Thank you so much,
Guy

Hi.
I see you have a N79. Finally there is someone else in this world that has one that I can talk to. I hope you will take the time to help me since 1) there is no manual in English that I know of and 2) I am new to Android and tablets in general.
I have had mine for over a week and have not set up cell & data service yet. I am waiting for an H2O wireless sim card to arrive and will try them first since they are insanely cheap. I also have a ConsumerCellular sim card and am holding that as a backup in case H2O doesn't work.
Everything else I am intuiting and trial and a lot of errors.
Two questions for now: I have tested 2 movies (downloaded from the internet onto my desktop then sideloaded onto the 16GB micro SD card via the charger/USB cable) using the built in MX player and the audio lags behind and the video occasionally stops and starts. I even Handbraked one and lowered the bit rate to be under 1000 thinking that might help.
Any ideas? And please remember I am not a developer and really don't want to root it. Playing movies on the treadmill is one of the major reasons for getting it.
Where is the microphone located? I know the earbuds have a mic, but when I start using it as a phone I just want to hold it to my ear. And eventually maybe I'll try the voice commands etc.
Thanks again.

i had the english manual in pdf when i received the sanie it was located on the internal storage but my dumbass erased it..
Mines didnt work at first when i put in my t mobile sim card so what i did was reset the tablet with the sim card inserted and let it boot back up and everything worked fine i didnt have to change any settings regarding the network everything worked calls text web etc
The mic should be at the bottom of the tablet.. one way to check is hit the dial-er app and once the numbers pop up try to turn the phone around or upside down and the dial-er pad will not move so that should give you where the mic is at usually the speaker located at the bottom of the dialer pad. as for the mx player make sure you have the codecs updated because mines only has lag on 3gp videos.. the best files that work on mx player are mp4 formats.. i also tested different video players with the same result 3gp videos lag...

Hi sorry for the late reply, but I had some problems with my internet suplyer.
First, I liked the tablet a lot. My brother love it also and, recently my pc broke, he lend me is laptop in exchange for the tablet.
The best way to root it I think it is the program framaroot. I leave here the version 1.6.1
Hope this helps you and the others.
About the manual... I'll ask my brother to see if it comes in the internal storage like another member said. I'll send it to you them.
best regards everyone

ok so i purchased another sanei n79 for 26$ on ebay seller sold it for parts and once i received it it was in perfect working condition.. It just needed to be charged.. any way the sanei had a pattern lock so this is what i did
Turn off the phone-tablet
Then Hold down the Vol + and Vol - at the same time for about 10 to 15 secs and it should take you to the recovery.
I was able to wipe/factory reset.
This phone-tablet had CWM as recovery so good for me..
hope this helps i am about to root this tablet the way i did before
I have a post on here as well on how i rooted this tablet..

Guys please stop answering posts when you don't really know the correct answer. It pisses me off.
Factory resetting a Chinese tablet can't always be done from a tablet. Some sanei devices running rockchip SoC can be wiped from recovery. But others running Allwinner chipsets Cannot be resetted using recovery. All Sanei devices have their firmware images uploaded on Sanei site with instructions.
The site is in Chinese though. If you change the language to English you will NOT find all firmwares.
If you need a direct link for your Sanei tablet then tell me and I'll send you a direct link to the download link with detailed instructions.
Sanei N77 has different firmwares since there's a version that has one camera and a version with double camera. So tell me which version do you have and I'll send you the firmware

I don't recall that we're able to remove the register button by renaming a file, but if you rename the checkin service .apk extension to something else (or freeze it in titanium backup) it won't continue to ask you to register and you can press the button and nothing will happen.
If you do find a file to rename to remove the button itself, please do share...

firmware update 1568 does not work for me with SD card
if you have a solution ???

try this if u cant register ur tab.
BEFORE u flash to a new firmware use root explorer to go to cache/profile/ and delete the file in that folder
now flash the tablet whichever way works for you
once u connect to the wifi enter ur original registration and it should work

success with the 1568 update.zip ... for whatever reason it didnt like my 2gb or 4gb SDHC cards but when I found an old 1gb Kingston one it happily upgraded itself

unfortunately cat broke the screen, glass is spiderwebbed but the LCD is undamaged and the touchscreen works fine, is the aforementioned £32 eBay replacement what I need then or is there a cheaper alternative given the two expensive/important bits are fine?

I haven't my registration. So, that, It will not work for me.
Anyway, all apps and market are working. I renamed the wowupdate.apk, so, I'm not seing the annoying registration pop-up. The only annoying thing I see yet is the word RGISTER in the upper bar. I can leave peacefully with such annoying word.

remove 3G signal from status bar & 1561 update!
Please,
Do someone know how can I remove that stupid 3G signal from the status bar at the top screen? This tablet doesn't have a phone app, of course, neither 3G, so, I'd like to get rid of this...
And what about the "1561 update"? Does it worth the download? Does it remove installed apps? If someone got it, I'd like to know what is new... Thanks!

[GUIDE] Star A1000, A2000, A3000 & A5000

This post has been moved to my personal blog
This post had been very, very helpful in trying to mod my A1000. I would want to see this as a sticky post since I notice there are a lot of other postings somewhere else with similar enquiries.
Again, thanks a whole lot Spyda!
Moved to my personal blog
Latest roms coming shortly - if anyone has their own ROM's or some they recomment please post links here. Lets try and keep all the information in one place!
Thanks
Great job. I've just received my A2000 and was desperately looking for a way to improve it.
Hi all, recently purchased a Star A9000, dual sim, capacitive screen, I think it belongs to this generation of A2000, A3000, etc ... wanted please post information on this phone (software, reviews, tools, roms, optimizations, etc.), and thus learn even more ... thanks
**Post removed and added to main thread**
The A9000 is a chinese clone, english reviews, support or any kind of information are hard to come by. There is 2 main sources of information for our models - one is chinese at http://m44.com.cn and the other is Russian at http://4pda.ru/forum (I couldnt find A9000 on this one but Im sure its there somewhere.
What is your experience level with android modification? because I would suggest if you are not an advanced level leave it alone until someone who has your phone and has modified it can tell you how in english.
That information will be on those sites but you are on your own in translating it all my friend - it can take a long time to workout what people are talking about and wouldnt suggest it if you are not technically minded and very patient.
Ok, thanks for the info, I have more or less a month since I bought this phone, and so far so good, I've been testing some applications, although I have not done much, like you, I searched in google and has been little or what I have achieved nothing by chance I found this forum yesterday and saw the Star A9000 mentioning here.
I wanted to clarify a doubt about what you said above about the sound profiles: to work really all I have to apply to modify the F0 to F5 all? Or just use one?. Let me explain better, I want it louder when I play music from your phone, and I also listen better and stronger the voice of the person I'm talking about ... Thanks and I hope you understand.
The CW recovery worked on my A1000. It says the (permanent) version is 4.0.0.5 as compared to the temporary version of 3.0.0.8. Finally got my 1st Nandroid backup after previous attempts with many versions of CWs & RAs failed.
On the downside, I think I physically messed up the phone's USB port. Windows can't detect the phone anymore unless you wiggle the cable & got lucky it made proper contact. With the price paid for such phones, I have no complaints & not having high expectations. I don't treat it as a phone anyway but a toy more fun than my previous Nokias
Terima kasih byteshertz & keep up the good work!
thanks for the post but i can't get StarTools file, file is corrupt.

Thanks - with your usb port on its way out just pick up a sdcard reader or wifi dongle for your pc and get and app to transfer between pc and your phone and just use the charger for charging. You can pick them up dirt cheap online

Yes modify all of them f0 - f5 for Audio - higher values are softer and lower values are louder I still dont fully understand it but it increased my audio - you do need to fully close and restart the app youre listening to though to notice the effect.
Hi
Very useful thread - huge amount of info
I have an A2000 for about a week Android 2.2.1
Kernel 2.6.32.9 - build ALPS.10Y.W10.48.MP.V2.03.P9.
I have rooted with Z4root and used Root uninstaller to remove many system progs that I didn't want.
Do you have a USB driver for this device?
Win7 cannot find a driver - MT65xx Android phone.
I want to do some app development.
TIA
PM
In regards to audio, I have been advised these are the best settings to choose in the engineering menu of the m44 app:
Normal Mode (type):
FM = 10
Side Tone = 50
Audio = 20
LoudSpeaker Mode (type):
FM = 10
Side Tone = 50
Audio = 15
HeadSet Mode (type):
Audio = 10
Side Tone = 50
I personally however only change the audio settings on F0-F5
Thanks Dimarzio123,
I had the drivers but I have misplaced them, I have tried several that have not worked but my install of adb may be the problem - if someone else has them I will be most greatful - in the meantime I will keep trying others.

Byteshertz Hello, Here again, I saw that comment a few tips on setting up sound engineering mode, you wonder, what up spelling on what I can apply to each of the F0, F1 ..... F5? Another thing, I'm using m44 application to enter engineering mode, once you configure everything, I give the option to reboot? Thanks!
PS: I tried changing to F1 only and do not notice the direncia in sound, for sure I did as it was ... haha
You need to set volume for each option so for example:
Headset Mode
F0:
Audio: 15
SET
F1:
Audio: 15
SET
F2:
Audio: 15
SET
F3:
Audio: 15
SET
F4:
Audio: 15
SET
F5:
Audio: 15
SET
No need to reboot - just restart any applications that were running when before you set the audio in m44 engineer mode.
Your audio level should now be louder, you could try 10 but i find too low and the distortion is too much.
Awesome topic, thanks for posting this!! I've only just received my Star A1000 today and now I can try this out straight away, woot!!
It's funny coz before I bought the Star A1000, I had already tried doing tons of research on whether I can load OpenRecovery or CWM Recovery on it, as well as flashing custom firmwares etc. I couldn't find any so was disappointed, but bought it anyway since it's cheap and i was just gonna play around with it. But i'm so glad I found this topic since now the possibilities are opened up!
I do have on question though, I don't understand this part completely:
-It needs to be installed from a permanent recovery (as below or stock) by the install ZIP from sdcard option or by renaming update.zip and using that option.

so how can we install a temporary recovery if we need to install it from a permanent recovery....?? That sounds confusing......i don't wanna risk bricking my brand new Star A1000 so I need to make sure I know what i'm doing......(EDIT, refer to below as I figured it out).

Can you please post simple instructions on what to do to install the recovery?
BTW, I wanna share this site on how to flash devices that use the MTK6516 CPU (which is what the STAR AXXX phones use), it's pretty good and I hope it'll be helpful to someone:
http://bm-smartphone-reviews.blogspot.com/2011/02/mtk-hd2-hd9-flashing-tutorial.html
Oh and regarding part about restoring or generating the IMEI, just use the tool that you can download from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Chinese_Clones_MTK6516
Oh and btw I can read Chinese so if someone needs help translating something, I can help with that.
EDIT:
OK nvm it seems I got my question about the recovery sorted. It seems my A1000 does have stock recovery, it says this in the recovery screen:
"Android system recovery <3e>"
and btw I bought my Star A1000 from sunsky-online.com in case anyone wants to know. It's the cheapest price I've found, and i've spent like 5 days comparing with many different sites, as well as with Alibaba and Aliexpress. Even though there are cheaper ones on Alibaba and Aliexpress, but I don't trust them so ended up buying at Sunsky instead.
Anyway just as an easy instruction for new beginners, to install the recovery (temporary method) on your Star A1000, you basically download the StarTools.zip file in the attachment on the first page. Then, extract the file "recovery-update.zip" from it. Rename the "recovery-update.zip" into "update.zip" (without the quotes of course), and put that file onto your memory card.
Now, as "[email protected]" already pointed out in his first post, his A1000 doesn't seem to have a stock recovery. What a recovery does is simply allows your phone to recover itself, usually it has options like format your device so that you can restore it to factory settings. So basically, make sure your phone is off, then press the volume up + power button and hold them down until your screen loads a triangle with an ! logo. If you see that then your phone has stock recovery installed.
If that's the case, press the home button to bring up the options, and use the volume keys to move up and down, use camera key to select the choice and the back button to go back.
If you don't have stock recovery, then you'll have to install a permanent recovery as shown on the first page.
So anyway, here is where the update.zip file comes to use. As you get into the recovery, you'll need to apply the update.zip file (the "recovery-update.zip" file that you renamed) and after the update is applied, then you'll access the ClockWork Mod Recovery menu and from there you have a lot more options to fiddle around with, such as performing a nandroid backup.
Anyway, mine shows "ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.8" in the menu.
---------- Post added at 09:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:25 PM ----------
OK I need help badly right now. I just wanted to test if I could use ClockworkMod Recovery on my Star A1000, and it did work. I didn't do anything other than check it out, and I simply rebooted the the phone using the option in the menu.
But I can't get out of the recovery, I already tried to clear the cache and even format it to factory settings but nothing worked. I also tried clearing dalvik cache which I know doesn't relate to this, but ya it didn't work.
****, I think I semi-bricked it??
---------- Post added at 09:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:02 PM ----------
sorry for my long as message and multi post (good thing that XDA's forum automatically merges multiposts).
Anyway I fixed it, **** I was worried there for a second since I thought I would've bricked my brand new Star A1000 that I received in less than a few hours lol.
Anyway to fix the problem that I had, simply take out your memory card, boot into recovery (to remind others again, it's volume up + power button) and just press "apply update.zip".
It'll try to do that but since you took out the memory card, it won't be able to find the update.zip file so it'll revert to its stock recovery menu options. If you don't do that, then you don't see the original options in the stock recovery.
From there, just wipe the cache and it'll work. For some reason, wiping the cache while you're in the ClockworkMod Recovery menu doesn't work, even though it said it completed the operation successfully. You can't get back to the stock recovery menu if you're already applied the update.zip file and already in the ClockworkMod Recovery menu either, so you'll have to follow my instructions to fix this.

[Q] PLT-7223-G assistance.

Hi.
I got a Proscan PLT-7223-G tablet for really cheap (free.)
It's actually not bad (yeah, yeah...), and runs most things that I've tried fairly well (had some stuttering playing Tomba! but eh...)
Thing is... I want to be able to do a few things that I need root for.
So far, I have found nothing about this tab. It's running a RK2928, has JB 4.1.1, and that's it.
There are no hard keys, so I can't even use recovery mode (even though I can get to it through adb...)
Everything I have tried to do to root it has failed. Auto-rooting programs hang. Manual rooting gives me permission errors (probably the cause of failed everything else,) and I don't really know enough to figure this out on my own.
So... Anyone out here have any help for this mystery tab? Or at least be able to point me in some new direction? Or even just let me know how to use recovery without buttons?
Thanks in advance.
So, I've kept trying to figure things out to see if it's a clone of something else. It seems the same as the IPPO K7, but I don't know the GPU on mine since it just says "Super 3D GPU" on it. And the IPPO K7 root kit gives me errors about not being able to access folders..
PLT-7223G ADB Connection
Kurobei, I know its been two months since your post but I'm hoping you will reply. I also have a PLT-7223G tablet that I have been trying to connect to using ADB. I have stumbled through windows XP "New Hardware Found" and managed to get "Android ADB Interface" to load when I plug in the Tablet. But ADB DEVICES returns nothing. I have the latest ADB version of 1.0.31. I have added these lines to android_winusb.inf
;ProScan plt-7223g
%SingleAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_16d5&PID_8005
%CompositeAdbInterface% = USB_Install, USB\VID_16d5&PID_8005&REV_0222
under both [Google.NTx86] & [Google.NTamd64]
Do you have any tips?
---------- Post added at 08:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:51 PM ----------
Never mind. I found my error. In C:\Documents and Settings\User\.android\adb_usb.ini I was using an "o" instead of a"0" for the line "0x16d5".
All better
hard reset

I had pretty much given up on rooting this, and then, for whatever reason, decided to look at this thread...
I've all but given up and then you have to go and make me very happy with it.
Thanks a ton. I've now got the thing rooted and am no longer stuck with only 4gb of internal space, among other things!
Unlocking/Resetting PROSCAN PLT 7233G
Hello,
I am trying to fix a tablet (Proscan PLT 7223 G) for a friend of mine. They bought it off a television network and when they turned it on, it required a passcode (requires letter and/or numbers). I have tried MANY methods, from resestting it through the pinhole in the back of the device. Even trying various programs that can unlock the tablet via PC. I think the main issue is that the tablet's usb debugging setting is not on. And with that not being on, I can't do anything on command prompt. I really need some assistance on unlocking this tablet. I have been trying for days and even searching xda and google for any solutions that may come up. Didn't think this would be an issue but it has now. Would greatly appreciate any ideas or methods to unlocking the tablet OR activating USB debugging via PC command prompt with the tablet's password.
Thanks,
EzE601
PLT7223g Recovery
Recovery System: v4.1.01 Android System Recovery <3e>
Enter recovery: Turn power off by holding power button down for extended period. Menu comes up and asks if you want to power off or cancel. Choose “OK” to power off.
Insert pin in update hole and hold power button down simultaneously until Proscan splash screen is displayed. “Fallen Android spilling red exclamation mark” comes up in a few seconds. Simultaneously depress pin and power button briefly, release, do this several times until recovery menu comes up.
Move menu selection by depressing pin.
Menu provides numerous options for rebooting, applying an upgrade and factory reset.

is there a bootloader that you can go to via power + vol down like HTC devices? if so, there might be a factory reset option
i have no idea if it'll work, but this is the best solution i could think of

thanks for the reply. but when i say there is no recovery that means no options in bootloader only the droid system logo plus it will not connect to adb at this point so cannot push any file to the tab.
most of the chinese tab's are coming without recovery so some people create recovery for such tabs via memory card. even someone have created for this tab also but for his bad luck, usb debugging is not ticked so he cannot push any thing.
i think the last option is to jtag but very less chances there could be software drivers to jtag this tab. all in all its dead story
I'm sorry to hear that. That's why I never let people touch my devices. The same thing happened to my HOXL back in the day

There are lots of persons who brag about this and that, and they handle a device they do this type of things...
It is better not to give people with little knowledge access to device that they cannot handle..
Ps : try other key combinations while powering on might just hit a jackpot

[HELP] Cannot factory reset a Kyocera Hydro Wave (C6740N) on Metro PCS

Greetings to all the developers and registered users on this site... Yes, this is my first post, but I read here pretty often and I used the search function, trust me! Seriously, I've tried all I could and I am at my wits end, but this is technology, we can't let it own us, we gotta continue owning it and that's what online communities like xda help us do, so thanks for all your past, present, and future contributions here. So I got this Metro PCS Kyocera Hydro Wave (C6740N) that I can't factory reset for a number of reasons, but mainly because I believe that there is either no boot-loader or no recovery partition as a result of Metro PCS flashing the ROM...
Anyway, lets get to the juice:
- Device powers on/off, but no combo of Vol -/+ and Power buttons bring up a recovery menu or anything (holding any combo down just boot-loops)
- Device has no SIM and no micro SD card, and the battery is not removable
- Device is locked... Like, pattern-locked/google account info/too many attempts/yada yada yada
- Device has no data and no WiFi connection active, so I could not use the google account to get past the lockscreen
- Device does not have USB debugging enabled/Google drivers for ADB do not work (Windows 7 auto-detects when I plug in the phone and installs a generic Microsoft driver which cannot be removed even after uninstalling the device, and also I pointed the Device Manager to the correct Google drivers I installed with the Android SDK Tools, as well as the Samsung Naked Universal Drivers I found on this forum, and Kyocera ADB drivers I found through Google which all failed, Windows returned a message stating that the most up-to-date or best driver for this device is already installed)
What I've tried (everything possible really):
- Hard reset/Recovery from phone: FAILED
- Connect to Linux and install ADB, then tried running the adb shell, adb devices, fastboot devices, etc but phone not detected: FAILED
- Connect to Windows 7 and install ADB (Android SDK Tools), I literally checked every single box and installed Platform-tools, google drivers, everything, got to the command prompt as admin, cd to the ADB directory, ran same commands as in linux, also tried commands on several forums and posts like adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key to remove the lock but everything: FAILED
- Connect to Windows 7 and attempt to install proper drivers using RootGenius, MoboRobo, PDAnet, and several other suggestions which all were oblivious/unable to detect the device despite Windows recognizing it, so they all: FAILED
- Connect to Windows 7 and attempt running ADB through a Cygwin terminal, but the command "sudo" was not recognized/not valid, so: FAILED
- Connect to Windows 7 and use XRYViewer to extract data from the phone, possibly to see the system files and get an actual understanding of what everybody is saying you need to mount from the recovery partition, but no clue how to use this, since I can't find an XRY file in the internal storage, so: FAILED
- Connect to Windows 7 and access data/recover data from device using "Wondershare Dr.Fone for Android" and "iLike Android Data Recovery Pro" but both programs instructed me to enable USB Debugging, which is not possible, so the both also: FAILED
Despite this being my first post, I have scoured the forums here in addition to every other forum and webpage regarding this issue as well... There just isn't much about this phone except negative reviews, and I have come to the conclusion that on this particular model phone, I am out of options... I have a paperweight... I'm not very familiar with Android... So please correct me if I'm wrong...
Any input?
I'm curious if there are any options at this point, I have been trying to get through to this phone on several computers for the past couple days and it is frustrating me... Any input from the community would be much appreciated...
Mojo2XL, I guess you did not find an answer?

may be this:
*2767*3855# - Think before you give this code. This code is used for factory format. It'll remove all files and settings including the internal memory storage. It'll also reinstall the phone firmware.
I found code in internet, but may be it works? can't check, my "wave" comes to me from USA by post for a few weeks..

Did you happen to get the files the other member posted that was only available for eight days?
Mojo2XL - Sort of.
I saw a youtub video (sorry no link) that says there was a OTA update that changed the phone's firmware that solved all the problems mentioned here. Thing is I have no carrier and cannot find this new firmware, but, I am still hunting....

let me work on this, been trying to master as many FRP bypasses as i can. I don't have the device but a client is in the same boat
I accidentally stumbled upon a something weird. I've managed to make the camera crash to the home screen somehow. I believe this was a result of holding both volume buttons and opening numerous menus while using the camera. My guess is that it overloads it after a certain amount of times and causes it to crash. I've gotten the android UI to crash like this before. I will try to recreate the scenario and update you guys on this. it's on a Kyocera Hydro Wave. Running android 5.0 I believe. Try going wild until the phone starts to lag. eventually stuff will crash and the lock screen may go with it. use this to your advantage and enable USB debugging as quickly as possible because it will reset itself after about 30 seconds. Someone else on YouTube has recently told me that it worked for them. I would look into doing that.

Is there anything a little more realistic possible? Lol, I can see an update available, can't connect to WiFi to update haha. The stuff they lock these phones with anymore i swear
I'm new to this forum, but NOT new to this site . I have visited here on numerous occasions seeking the help that needed . With that being said, I would like to offer a Bonafide, Tried and True way to factory reset the Kyocera Hydrowave . I KNOW that this work's for I have done in on numerous occasions for a friend of mine that works for Metro PCS ....
Step One: Completely power off the phone .
Step Two: Hold the Power AND Volume DOWN Buttons SIMULTANEOUSLY .
Step Three: DO NOT release any buttons, even when you get to the Boot Menu . (Very Important, If you don't do it right, you have to start all over lol ) .
Step Four: Once inside the Boot Menu, ONLY release the Power Button; or the Boot Menu will close and you have to start all over again .
Step Five: Use the Volume Down Button to Highlight the Wipe/Factory Reset Option .
Step Six: Use the Power Button to Select the option .
Step Seven: Watch the bottom of the screen for the progress, and then use the Volume Up Button to restart .
And there you have it . I hope that this helps out SOMEONE out there, because I feel good giving back for the help that I have received on here .
PS.( If you would like for me to post a Video Tutorial on this, can someone please tell me how to post the Video; I guess by me being a Newbie on here, I'm not allowed to do as of yet ) . If Anyone needs to contact me, as I'm not on here very often, my email is [email protected] .

As unrealistic as it may sound it actually works Trust me on this. its similar to the LG attack which... is nothing but entering a long password.
betanews.com/2015/09/16/bypass-the-android-lollipop-lockscreen-by-entering-a-really-long-password
Just give it a go. it already worked for one dude on youtube. it takes a while but it honestly works. If you can get it, update the phone as soon as possible turn the screen timeout off and let it update. when the phone resets the update will install and you will be able to factory reset.
I mean it couldn't hurt. if you're locked out with no factory reset and ADB tools won't work what else can you do?
