[Q] Photo/video camera issue on JellyTime - HTC Desire S

Hi guys. I've recently flashed the JellyTime ROM but I have an issue with the camera, which doesn't work rightly.
When I take a photo, in the bottom of the picture I have taken, appears a line wich can be green, blue or something else, randomly.
Moreover, I can't record anything because when i press the red "rec" button appears a green flash and the recording doesn't start at all.
Thanks in advance to those who will help me!

That's not your problem its a bug in the JellyTime ROM, and one that may never be fully fixed due to lack of kernel 3 based drivers from Qualcomm.

you can take normal photo with over app, i have CM10.1 and with camera zoom fx i don't have green line when i take photo at 5MP

Lines only appears after you take the photo, if you see this one in gallery app lines shouldn't appears. Was like that when I used this rom

Same problem
I had the same problem on JellyTime.
When u change the camera settings to 3 Mp there are nog green stripes or some lines from the previous photo.
I am using
[ROM][22-01-13][Flinny] Andromadus Test builds - CM10.1[12]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031694
and don't have these issues.
Mind you I am using 4EXT Recovery Control, with the format /system_lib function in the advanced settings.

Stripes on Camera

I have got a new touch cruise (polaris) but when I tried to test the camera I noticed one vertical light blue stripe on the screen and also it stays on the photo. One or two days later there appeared three more vertical stripes and one horizontal violet stripe which also appear on the taken photos (see file attached). Those stripes only appears when turning on the main camera, those does not appears when using other features of the smartphone, nor when using the front camera nor when viewing the sample photos (cuz the taken photos are shown with these stripes).
I tried to find if there is any cover on the lens but there is no any one.
I installed the hot fox about blur when zooming but nothing changed.
I did a hard reset but the stripes did not disappear.
Unfortunately I can not use any guarantee for this phone.
My final option is to believe the rom (WM 6.0 spanish) was corrupted for the camera feature and that I could solve the problem reinstalling only the files for the camera (I do not want to reinstall the whole rom). Is that possible ??? Anybody can send me those files or tell me where can I find them ?? Any help ps
thks in advance
it's the same problem with me.. Anybody have a clue for this? The stripes is very annoying.. thanks...
anybody got the solution please?

Green tint in burst camera mode

Whenever i take a picture in burst camera mode, the picture has a green tint on it. I had the problem with the stock ROM when I enabled all camera modes and still have it running mightymike's 11.16 rom so it may be hardware related. All other camera modes seem to work fine. Has anyone else come across this problem?

This is completely a stab in the dark, but try taking your back cover off and take a picture. Do you still have a green tint? Also, when you move the picture to a computer, does it have a green tint still?

Interesting... When i move the picture to the computer it looks fine. Also, When I browse to the pic thru the file explorer, it also looks fine. It's only green in the pic immediately after the shot.
Ah well.. Thanks for the ideas.

[Q] NSCollab doesn't recognize front facing camera

I've been using Cyanogen but just flashed to the most recent NSCollab today. Its great so far. However, I went to use the front facing camera (in Camera) and it won't let me select it. I can click the icon to switch from the back camera and the popup with "Front" and "Back" shows up but disappears and doesn't highlight "Front" when i click it.
Does anyone else using NSCollab have or had this issue? I love the ROM so far and don't really want to flash back to CM Nightlies :/
Edit: Nevermind! it seems like the camera theme made it so the icons (ie: flash, camera switcher, exposure, etc) overlapped the popup menus... i "fixed" this by using landscape view and selecting the bottom setting...

Try switching to a lower resolution. There are problem with the 5MP, whilst 4MP works.

Turn off face and smile detection and try again, it should work. I had the same problem and it solved, I didn't have to do anything with the resolution.
Fallout 5.0
Hey guys,
I have similar problem with Fallout 5.0.0 on HTC Desire S.
1. Did a full wipe.
2. Installed the ROM Fallout 5.0.0
3. I was able to take pictures with the camera but as soon as I switch to recording. The camera won't respond to anything flash menu, camera menu, won't even let me switch back to picture taking, the view is proper I see everything what camera sees but it won't respond. In order to be able to take pictures I have to restart my phone. But if I press on recording again the camera will switch to recording and won't respond. Won't be able to turn it off, only press home and task kill the camera.

Have you tried a lower resolution for recording? Does it work?

[Q] Weird camera flash issue

I usually don't take pictures with flash, but today I noticed that the flash doesn't work properly in the camera app. When I try to take a picture, the the flash lights up while the camera is focusing, but when the actual picture is being taken it remains off, resulting into a very dark picture. I am running stock 4.4.4 + elementalx kernel. Has anyone else noticed something similiar and have any idea how to fix this?
