Hi all,
Please don't take a drink as you'll spit it on the monitor when you start laughing.......
I recently purchased a Hero 9300+ online and in my haste to try and install a prerooted ZP900s file on it, I bricked it after having it about 2 days - at least it's not an $800 phone.
My question is, has anyone brought one of these back to life? Is it even possible?
If it's not completely obvious, yes I'm a complete noob at this. LOL
I have a 9500 on order but wanted to get this one going and give it to the wife. Another one of life's expensive lessons.
Thanks for any help!
I was desperate when my stopped working too, what I did was reflashear zopo entire ROM and try to connect.

I wish I had that option but it's completely hard-bricked. Computer doesn't see it and no response to buttons at all. I'm trying to see if Zopo will make an attempt if I pay for shipping and the service but I haven't got a response as yet.

Examples:
masaidjet: You know you're rooted when you tell a neighborhood hoe to " wipe her cache "
wscott9903: You know you're rooted when 1/2 of your apps require superuser permission.
feralicious: You know you're rooted when your spouse tells you they're leaving you and taking the kids and you think "perfect timing, (insert dev name here) just released a new ICS ROM".
jayochs: you know you're rooted when your phones buggy as hell lol
putney1477: You know you're rooted when, you husband, wife, significant other gets a new phone and says, don't you dare come near this phone, it works fine!

YOU KNOW YOU'RE ROOTED WHEN XDA IS SET AS YOUR HOMEPAGE!
You know you're rooted when your computer has more nandroids saved than pics of your children...
You know you're rooted when you try to convince every other person to root their phones too.
Here's a couple...You know you're rooted when you see a .zip file and your first thought is whether or not it is flashable in clockwork! and you know you're rooted when you go to the bathroom with your phone and you only pee. (reworded)
You know you're rooted when you give your friend your phone to make a phone call, and he/she has no idea how to use your phone.
uhhh, I don't think I can vouch for the second on invasion...I got one, you know your rooted when your friend calls you a flashenthusiast

Can't you fix your brick with Odin? No need for a replacement and deductible. Unless of course you've already sent it out.

ok finally out of factory mode jesus christ it took 100 internet searches and thousand of useless pages to find two useful ones that could help. One of them on here and the other on w0lfdroid for how to fix it. If anyone is wondering the old galaxy tab generic imei trick does not work.

Well I will keep my fingers crossed and thanks for starting something… ..
I have a zte avail. (although my primary phone is my lg thrive p506)
And yes it has been rooted, with lots of problems, because there isnt any good developers who would like to take on this job and bask in fame and glory.
It is a great device, and since it comes with 2.3.3 as a stock rom, im sure we could get atleast 4.0 on it, maybe even higher. IF SOMEONE TRIED.
im a developer my self, but im not good with roms. and i hope, this message is clear enough - please someone help, im pretty sure people like me will donate money to you to buy the darn device and actually tinker with it so that we can actually use the phone with the latest android version.
Thank you
Hey I've got an avail 2 that I've been working on and I could defiantly use a hand too. I'm stuck in the at&t load screen and the stock recovery does nothing. Where can I find stock image and what is ftp mode for? Adb? Rsd?

Well you can't expect a Rom for an underused device. Besides isn't this device from 1 year ago? If there wasn't any interest then, it's highly unlikely there would be now...

true, but some operators have it for mere €29 (i.e. vodafone ireland when switching number, with possible €20 cashback from fatcheese) now, so it is great backup phone for around €10 unlocked give or take
that means there might be plenty of those around soon, while it isn't powerful device it isn't bad at all
