How to restore apps after flashing?

Hi guys
In the WM world I was used to re-install all my applications after I flashed a different rom.
Is there some way to restore my apps with android after I flashed a different rom?
Maybe titanium backup?
Yep, titanium backup is the way to go. It backs up your apps and app data on the sd card. After you flash, simply download titanium backup again, and select restore user apps and app data. Simple as that.
okay, ty! That sounds great if it is that simple I think i will give the new CM6 a try

Whats the best way to backup apps & settings when using custom roms?

Still having wifi issues with ALexanders Miui for X10, and wanting to know any advice on the best way to save/restore apps so that I dont have to start fresh on every minor rom update... Thanks!
Titanium Backup is really good for that, backups app data and the apk to your SD for when you need 2 restore apps.
havent heard of that one,.. i think i'll look into it.. sorry, im not the OP but i was interested in it aswell.
Titanium Backup
Thanks, titanium backup looks the goods.
Can you usually restore apps okay when going to different roms?
Apps yes, it just installs the apk. Data, depending on which data and ROM yes. I've backuped everything when using ARHD and never had a problem restoring everything when I wipe and upgrade it. When I put on MIUI I didn't let it restore all the data, just a few things to get call logs, save games n stuff.

[Q] Best way to Backup Everything ??

Hello
Can somebody tell me the best way to Backup "Everything" ??
I used "Titanium Backup Pro" but it doesn't backup directly to the microSD card !!
I have to backup to the internal storage first which is Ridiculous !!
also after Restoring the apps with the data I had to reinstall many apps to get them working (which requires me to delete them and install them again) !!
Also it doesn't backup "Gameloft" games' data automatically !!
Is there a better way to Backup ?? Please reply..
Thanks in advance..
backup with Titanium Backup Pro , then copy "TitaniumBackup" folder to your microsd
do the same to the "Gameloft" folder , after u want to restore , copy back the "TitaniumBackup" folder and "Gameloft" folder , to your device
best way to backup , i did it like 5 times
You can backup directly to the micro SD card ... just make a folder on the microsd (i call mine Backup )
Open titaniumbackup .. press menu > preferences then scroll down to the "Backup folder location" and point it to the folder you've just created...
as for the gameoft files .. well your just gunna have to copy to sd card yourself (use ESFile explorer)

I mentioned that after Restoring the apps some of them don't work...
You have to delete them then install them from the market again !!
I will generally install from the markets website and use TB just to restore the data.

In the titanium options settings are you sure you have both file and data checked to be backed up? Is it just paid apps that don't work?

Yes !! Both the app and it's data !! But i did the backup 3 months ago... It was the first time and the last time i did a backup !! I'm sure that the settings improved in the current version !!
As long as i remember... Only "Glu" games and 2 or 3 apps that i don't remember didn't work (force close) and the only way to reinstall market apps is to delete them and install them again.. but thankfully my game save was stored online on Facebook !!
However... I don't need to backup at the moment !! I'm waiting for ICS... and if it requires wiping then I'm gonna need to backup !!

Question about Titanium Backup

Hello Everyone,
I have a question about Titanium Backup. I run backups for all my apps (without data) and when I run a factory reset I have to reinstall everything. I understand this because that erases everything including Titanium Backup from my phone. My question is am I doing something wrong and is there a way to recover your apps with Titanium Backup after a Restore or Reset of your phone? Because once I reinstall TB after a reset none of my backups are there obv. But I have to go and re download everything from the market which is a pain in my behind Frankly. So in closing either TB should have some sort of cloud storage for there users where their apps are being backed up to OR they have something like this already and I am blind. I have looked several places but everywhere I go and it says this is possible they are just showing restoring apps with TB after a new rom is flashed...Not completely reset.
Thanks for any help that can be provided!!

I had the same question when I first started using TB. yes you do lose it when you factory reset, but go into the market and redownload it and the pro key if you have paid for it. and you can batch restore your apps an Data. I do it alot cause I'm always testing ROMS. Btw get the full version it has some nice features like batch install without having to click install for every app. makes restoring a breeze

The backups are stored on your SD card. As long as you aren't wiping that, they should still be there in the Titanium Backup folder.
TB does have Dropbox sync, at least in the pro version. Don't know why a factory rest would delete your backups though, does it also delete photos, etc?
Well all backups from TB are on the sd hence u need not worry !
Also just install TB from market and u will notice all of ur backups are ready to be restored !
consider shifting the TB app to the System intead of Data hence it can survive a factory reset !!
i have installed the all in the system !!
Thanks everyone for your replies, I just upgraded to the Pro Version. Thanks for all the help, yea I do the same thing I am always reflashing different roms to try out and I use Odin to go back to factory a lot too. So thats why I brought the question up. Thanks again!

Any backup alternative of titanium backup?

Hii guys .. I have been using titanium backup from a long time. But from sometime it doesn't seem to be working that good for me. I backed up my apps and data .. Then isntalled a custom rom (bliss pop) i restored the backup (app+data) and although all apps got restored, the data was gone. I lost atleast 8-10 gb of data because i had a lot of heavy games. Do i have any means to recover that data? If not is there any other alternative backup app than titanium backup? For future preference. Otherwise i won9be able to change roms or return to stock.
anyone ?
Hmm..titanium backup is supposed to be the best backup app, dunno why that happened to you.
Anyway, you can also try helium. Its free. I've never personally tried it but ive heard that it works all well as TB and it has a sync feature so u don't need to manually backup all the time when u have some thing new in an app..
Try helium backup. Used to use it when my phone wasnt rooted. Obviously not as good as titanium backup.
Search for Backup+ on xda. An awesome alternative to Titanium backup. Trust me, you'll love it.
TiBu doesn't backup large game data files unless explicitly set in the options. By default it will only back them up if it's under 32MB (See Backup app external data & Select external data by max size)
I use my backup. It's an awesome app. While I was using tb, I switched to it. It's free for a month, so you can try it.

You can do manual backups of heavy games.
1.try backup on apk of the game using app backup and restore app from the play store and backup the apk.
2.most of the heavy games data are stored in Android -> obb.. So keep a backup of obb on the system or phone by just copying it to another folder.
3. After installing a new rom. Place the obb in the android folder and then install back the app from the app app backup and restore.
