[Q] Weird problem with The Kno - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, so I've been searching all around about this and even contacted the kno tech support. My problem is that when I open a book to read, I cannot swipe to turn the pages. I only have two little arrows at the sides and I'm able to turn pages that way. It is very annoying to not being able to turn pages by sweeping.
Does anybody have the same problem? Or this is how it's supposed to work?
Thanks!

Anyone?

I checked the app on mine and it does the same things. I tried looking around to see if I could change some settings but I don't see anything.

Apps automaticly placing icons on my home screens..

Opps nevermind. Turned off auto add widgets in the play store. Weird feature. If anyone else is looking to do this now you know how.
EDIT: Apparently you can turn it off. You learn something new every day.

Thanks so much for that. I couldn't find what was doing that
Yeah I had been trying to do that as well and I stumbled upon that setting. That's such a weird location for that setting, IMO

Thanks for this. I spent at least a half hour last night trying to figure out if I could turn it off and then just gave up.

[Q] PDF jumps pages.

Hi guys, i have an Asus TF300T.
I tried many PDF readers and i have a problem with all of them.
Without touching my screen, it jumps pages on its own. Any suggestions, on what the problem is, would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Enable the "Show touches" in developers settings and see if it is registering touches that don't exist while the PDF app is open.

Okay,i get your point. What if, it shows touches that are not made by me? What would the problem be?
I don't have it here at the moment, since a friend is experiencing the problem.

If that is the case, then it is a problem with the hardware (the actual screen/digitizer). If not, then it is a software problem.

Yeah, that was my thinking too. HW problem.
If it's a software problem, then a reset would do the job and it will callibrate itself.
Will do it, when i meet him.
Thanks for you answers.

Yes! The Z3 loses me everytime I restart. Do not think the phones likes me, it's likes the ugly blue standard contact picture head instead!
Noticed this problem yesterday after a restart.

[Q] Answer calls with simple swipe

When I receive an incoming call I would like only a simple swipe to answer. Currently I get an option if I swipe up to send a quick reply. Sometimes when driving etc I accidentally swipe up instead of right and drop the call. Very annoying. I've searched everywhere and cannot find an app or a setting to get rid of quick reply's.

Is it in your country allowed to use phone when driving. If it is, report to Google.

Not exactly a solution to my problem, but yes we can still use phones while driving in Florida. I usually use Bluetooth, Just using driving as one of many examples.

Doesn't your bluetooth device has an answer button?
OK lets forget about Bluetooth and pretend I'm not in a car. No Bluetooth just don't want to have instant reply when I accidentally swipe up. Do you have a way to address my problem or not. If not no more reply's please.

If you are not in the car then clear your mind, think three times "right, not up" and answer your call. With time you will get your own mantra.
Also you can try to find working button remaping app.
Stop txting and driving, you might injure/kill someone
There's handicap/disability options somewhere in settings

Nexus 5 rings but no way to answer.

Hello,
I have a Nexus 5 with Marshmallow.
I don't know what I did but now when I get a call, the lock screen opens but no way of answering the call.
Before a green screen would show up with a button on bottom to swipe up to answer. This screen no longer comes up.
Could someone point me in the direction to fixing this?
Thanks

You could enable "Volume up for answering", most devices have this ability. As for the issue I have no idea, But try what I mentioned as a temporary solution.
Thank you for your reply.
I would like to try "Volume up for answering" but don't recall the location of this setting. I have now looked for it and cannot find it.
Could you please point me in the right direction for finding that setting in Marshmallow?

That setting is typically found within phone settings if the device has it, Open the phone app and go to its settings and it should hopefully be there as well.
I couldn't find any setting on the phone app I am using (True Phone) so I looked for the stock Google app and had trouble finding it. I wasn't using it so disabled it a few days ago. I looked on Play Store and found it but wanted to update it. I did that.
From that moment the answer screen returned. Now back to where I was.
Great work for making me look for those settings.
Thank you very much. All done.
