Just wanted to know what some of you are using to clean the infinity pad?, I have hard time keeping the screen clean from fingerprints and also the aluminum back. Other then the micro fiber cloth what else is good to shine up the aluminum back? I don't want to use something thats going to make it worse.

Not much you can do about the front. I bought some screen cleaning gel which helps but not a lot.
As for the back, a bit of regular house cleaning polish keeps it free of finger prints for months
Clorox cleaning wipes (non-bleach of course) work frigging awesome on the back! Make it look brand new. I just use the microfiber for the front with no issues.
I use lcd cleaning liquid to clean the screen and a airduster on the keyboard.

I'm gonna try that, the front is easy to clean its just the back that I have doubts about, I have aluminum polish which i use for my cars but not sure if that is safe to use on the infinity, I baby my tablet thats why i always want it looking new.

Do not use aluminum polish! That could take the paint/finish right off. Of course if you put enough elbow grease into it, it could turn out chrome looking which might look pretty trick lol
Just kidding, don't do it lol

Haha, just when I thought I was funny....
I have found that most non-abrasive mild cleaners will work on the back... or tape your tablet to the windshield and go through a car-wash.
I use the Zeiss pre moistened lens cleaning wipes you can get from Sams club or Amazon. They come with 200 wipes and if you get them from Sams you pay under like 9 bucks. There is no Ammonia or anything that could hurt the screen and it has always done an amazing job for me.
I soak the tablet in a bucket of a 1:1 mixture of concentrated nitric and sulfuric acid. No fingerprint stain can stand up to that. It really helps keeping it clean for a long time. Funny how ASUS claims user-induced damage.
Just kidding -- and some reverse irony due to the &$%@ty construction of the locking pins. Sorry for the slightly off-topic digression.

try ROR best stuff on earth- comes in little spray bottle- get a pack of microfiber cleaning rags. Your screen feels like a stockinged leg after application. yum.

Isn't the screen on the N1 glass?
From the idrops website: "Carefully squeeze one to four drops onto the plastic, polycarbonate, or acrylic surface of your device"
http://www.wirelessground.com/saguaki.html
Has anyone tried this? Does it work?
If you read the end it states "not use on touch screen displays"
I guess i wont risk my baby..

iDrops, and most other scratch removers, are only for plastics... not glass, which is what your N1 screen is. You'll either create microscratches on the screen or remove part of the top coating on the screen.
i used t-cut glass polish on my nexus it got rid of the scratch i got when i stupidly put my phone in the same pocket as my keys
and a chamois leather is great for stubborn finger prints
To be honest, any mild abrasive would probably do. It's not as if the N1 has any anti-reflective coating or anything. Even a simple toothpaste and microfiber cloth would do the trick.
I find toothpaste is great at removing light scratches, won't cost you anything either.

Try PlastX from meguiers. Ived used it and its safe. Try in a corner of the screen first. Be sure its clean. Rub gently with a cotton fiber towel, not a bathroom towel.

hehe... Pretty good! But like somene pointed out on that page... still should be careful with little sand etc, as that most likely will scratch it
Couldn't see myself doing this to my TF! It'd be like kicking my children. (if I had any) But nice to see how strong Gorilla Glass is. I haven't purchased a screen protector yet and I've had the TF since early June. Thankfully no scratches on it, even when my dog runs across the screen or jumps on it when he jumps onto my bed.
Good to know, now I feel more confident throwing it into my backpack when traveling. No more worrying about headphones, keys, pens, etc scratching it.
Yeah, Sure you can scratch it with keys, nails etc. and you'll be fine. But give it to my wife to carry it in her purse for half an hour and it's already scratched
Yeah, but will it blend?

I'm sure it does. It always pains my heart to see him blend a perfectly working electronic device.
To be honest wouldn't any other glass withstand such a test too? I expected some hammers and razors in action. I buy glasses with glass lens (not plastic ones) because I found that they just don't scratch, and they are not gorilla glass or anything, just normal glass.
Different tablet, still Gorilla glass: I made the mistake to place my Galaxy Tab on an high place the cat loves. So obviously I watched when the clawed beast jumped, partly landing on the screen, doing his best to grip, fail at not falling and look offended. Some marks on the screen, but nothing that couldn't be cleaned with a damp cloth.
That said... I sure hope Gorilla glass has some other quality: keep in mind that to cut glass they use diamonds or special tools, it's fragile but pretty scratch resistant.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
It hurts to watch him do that. I know it's pretty scratch resistant.. but when I was watching it on my TF, I kept checking for scratches.. as if he'd induce them on my screen.
Awesome, now I know that I can cut my food on it... Nice

I got one from Vimax and it works just perfectly! But i haven't faced any fingerprint problems from any brand's anti glare/matte finish screen guards! I think u are confused with clear screen guards! Those attract fingerprints and get sticky! But not the ones with matte finish!
So search any screen guards with matte finish and go for it!

Haven't had that issue myself (not being able to see the screen due to reflection), but just be warned - it basically turns your nice screen into "just another" 1280x800-looking screen. I couldn't believe the difference when I finally removed it (I had it on for about two weeks). I would *never* put another on...

I LOVE Zagg shield. I'm OCD, so fingerprints and smudges REALLY REALLY irk me to no end. I was cleaning screen every 15 minutes.
The Zagg shield is GREAT! LOW glare, and i only have to clean screen couple times a week now.
Lifetime free replacement warranty too. If it gets damaged, or you have to send tablet back for repair, just peel it off, send it in, and they'll send a new one. Only costs shipping.

If your fingers are moist, it will stick a bit. But i noticed same thing without shield. I also use a stylus most of the time.
yes, they have the orange peel effect and "sticky". I never really noticed the orange peel. The sticky is more of comparison to glass. It's not sticky, just has more friction/resistence to your finger. I've been using Invishield on my phones for almost four years, and never bothered me.
I'm using a matte screen protector I picked up from ebay for my tf700. Seems like it's the same as TF300. Loving it so far. No more glass glare and my finger glides a lot easier.

Hi Guys,
I've unfortunately misplaced my cleaning cloth I got with the tablet - it was surprisingly good too! Needless to say my screen is looking super grubby right now and could do with a good clean. Can anyone suggest a quality cloth I could order online?
I live in Ireland so purchases from stores in the US etc who don't ship overseas are out.
I'm afraid to buy random ones off ebay in case they are cheap knock offs and end up scratching the screen - would be a disaster!!
Any/all advice is welcomed... well other than "You shouldn't have lost your Asus cloth!" - I know, I know

Feel like throwing one up on Ebay?
Gonna check out a few local stores today and see if I can source something similar. The one I have for my Samsung TV is considerably thinner than the Asus cloth.
Just get one from eBay, there are tons of them from about a dollar and up. Just get one of those that are similar to the one included with the TF700, not the smooth ones.
Like this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/330601977185 (Just search for the item code if the link doesn't work).
It's even bigger than the one included with the tablet. Great for larger displays like TVs, monitors as well.

i actually have a healthy pile of microfiber cloths around from various devices / cleaning kits and they are unfortunately not all created equal.
I have noticed that some are thicker / denser than others. The Asus ones tend to be pretty good. You might also try places like The Source in Canada or hell even WalMart in the auto section they should have some. Napa Auto Parts sells them too (for polishing your car) they work just as well.

Just make sure its plastic safe.... Some eyeglasses cleaner will remove the oileophobic layer on your screen (the one that keeps fingerprints at a minumum) and could also damage other components. You can get electronics safe cleaner that is intended to remove oils from fingers but wont harm the other coatings on your screen. Just a heads up, be careful and know what your putting on your screen.

Pretty simple thread if there ever was one.
I might be with the majority here and just wipe the screen on my shirt or softest fabric I come across. (that's clean)
The main reason for this thread though is to see how some of you go about cleaning the gap between the glass and the edge of the phone.
Since I run my phone naked I have noticed small particles and pocket lint getting stuck in said gap. If any of you have had to deal with this, what method have you found that works the best?

Team Nexus 5 sucks
my phone is in a spigen case, and has a screen protector. I wipe my phone down after work every day with a lysol/clorox wipe. it may not be the best for it.. and i wouldn't recommend it being done all the time if you can help it. but im funny about my phone needing to be germ-free lol
Mine stays clean so I dont have to clean it
Full naked. But clean with eye glass towel.

Spit and wipe with whatever the shirt or sweater I have on
I clean the gap between the edge and the screen with pieces of paper or an x-acto knife.
Mine is naked too. A once or twice a week I wipe it down with some alcohol and a paper towel, more about the germs than keeping it clean. If I have to clean the screen, I use a mircofiber cloth and a few drops of water.
I use my LED TV spray cleaner. I just do 1 squirt on a nice microfiber cloth and wipe it down. I've been cleaning it this way on my last couple of phones. BTW.. I don't use a screen protector and I only use my Ringke Slim Case when I work.

Just the LCD screen. Tiny bit of water is recommended, though when Corning tested house hold cleaning solutions the negative effect was pretty minimal. Personally I would use them sparingly maybe an annual disinfection.
