i727 "no sim" error on SOME cards - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have an unlocked AT&T Skyrocket SGH-I727 that is very picky about which SIM cards it accepts. I have seen a few similar forums, but nothing that fixes or seem directly applicable so want to start a new discussion.
No SIM Card
Similar problem but I'm not locked to any particular network, rather it is a few networks that work, a few that don't (all GSM).
No sim card error?? Any solutions??
My problem isn't no signal, it's no SIM.
"No sim" issue on Skyrocket
SIM card tray in my phone doesn't appear to be loose.
No signal after sim unlock
Not working at all, no solution.
I was running Cyanogen Mod with no problem on China Unicom (could use also China Mobile 2G) but on a trip last month to Bolivia was surprised that the phone doesn't accept any of the local SIM cards (such as Tigo, a GSM network) while an HTD Status and my backup SGH-i777 worked with all of these networks.
I tried a few different ROM's before flashing the i727 phone back to stock using Odin. Other than installing Team Win Recovery v2.2.0, it's plain stock, not even rooted. See below:
Android version 4.0.4
Baseband version Unknown
Kernal version 3.0.8
Build number IMM76D.UCLF6
While back in the US I tried several other cards, including an AT&T SIM, Straight Talk (actually from AT&T) and it also said no SIM. I've found that the China Unicom SIM works perfectly and a few others (see photo below) consistently work fine. I'd really like to get the phone working again on all of these GSM networks like my i777, HTC and i9300 do.
I've tried flashing three radios Radio_RIL__I727ATTKJ2, Radio_RIL__I727ATTKK1, Radio_RIL__I727RUXKJ7 but other than making T-Mobile 3G work, haven't helped me use any of the other SIMs.
Can anyone help with this? Should I be flashing another radio, replacing a part of the hardware (warranty isn't an option)? I'll buy a case of Redbull, Guinness or similar if I can get this working.

read returning to stock sticky, perform a reset afterwards, if still having issues, then either faulty phone, like sim tray or its contacts, or the unlocked method was fracked up in one way or another, try the free unlock method and see what happens, its in the 1stop sticky

SIM Card Missing from Sprint Phones Sold on eBay - Anything to worry about?

I just bought another HTC Touch Pro 2 (HTC RhodiumW CDMA + GSM) for Sprint (CDMA + EVDO) in the US on eBay and this phone once again came with an obviously missing Sprint Worldwide SIM Card (for GSM networks) (PDF Instructions) because the plastic credit card holder had the SIM card removed.
I got the first seller to send me the missing card and now I am having the second seller send me the SIM card also, only after complaining that they promised the card in their auction lists but failed to ship them.
I am concerned now that this happened twice, exactly the same way, so I'm wondering if there is some kind of a SIM Card scam or security issue going around that I should worry about? SIM card cloning maybe? Or SIM card being linked to phone and cloned to charge me for phone calls?
(Excuse my ignorance, but I've been a happy CDMA + EVDO network user for 10-years+ so I'm not familiar with SIM card security that's why I'm reaching out to more knowledgeable people like yourselves.)
I am aware of the fact that Sprint overcharges on their Worldwide International Rates so I won't be using their service overseas since I can just buy a pre-paid SIM card on a local network there for pennies on the dollar. I am also aware of the fact that this phone cannot use SIM Cards here in the US because it is SIM locked, and I know about Olipro's SIM unlocking web site that I plan to use on one phone but the other phone is already SIM unlocked according to the owner.)

I don't see your problem way do you want that sim card and not your own simcard (I know you normally don't use a simcard).
only pre-paid phones are sold with a card (In a shop) .

how i contact 3G

hi..
i bay Motorola zoom 3G from ebay the seller say he install ...
[ICS]Stock Android 4.0.4 IMM76 in the link

how i can contact 3G i put 3G sim card nothing happen
how can i use 3G for browsing
this is my first time to use tablet
well in your post youve linked to software which is for the wifi only version(mz604)
you need to get the model number of your xoom, if it is MZ604 then it wont support 3g, are you sure its a 3g model??? make sure you find out which one you have before flashing any roms, as if you flash the wrong firmware you could ruin your device
i don't know the model number
when i get the tablet the seller was install
([ICS]Stock Android 4.0.4 IMM76 ) software which is for the wifi only version(mz604)
i am sure its a 3g model that seller say the tablet 3G unlocked
now i flash the tablet with firmware Europe from Motorola website ...
MZ601_H.6.1-38-1_Retail_Europe and update to 3.2
my question is....
1) how i know now the model number
2) how can i use 3G for browsing
this is my first time to use tablet
can someone help me.....
the seller from ebay did not answer to me
I think it tells you in the settings somewhere, if not what type of back is on your xoom? Mine is wifi only and ots sort of grey silver colour, i beleive the 3g xoom has a black back, , so if yours is 3g itll have a black back if its a silver grey then its wifi only, also have you tried putting a sim card in it? Does anything appear in settings to select a network?b

[Q] Most recent radio? [SOLVED]

Haven't had this phone very long so I know nothing about the radios. Not sure how much of this matters but I'm on i9020t, currently at&t but soon tmobile, east coast/appalachian area, running JellyB-tsm (4.2.1). Thing is, I went and flashed one of the five I downloaded and it worked so I moved on, now I'm getting bad calls and wifi problems.
Different but related problem, see post 3...

Re: [Q] Most recent radio?
Just flashed the latest radio on the sprint model. It increased my call quality and wifi issues I was having.
Read through the radio thread I know some of them help in some areas but make other signals worse.

Alright so here's my recent issue. Just switched from at&t sim to tmobile sim. I entered the apn settings straight talk says I should and I'm getting excruciatingly slow data. I stumbled across a few different settings for tmobile apn and none of them even gave me a connection. I'm about to start flashing radio after radio to see if anything works but if someone knows something else that might fix it (ie working apn settings) let me know.
Sorry this is so big but upload isn't working here.

This is where I got them but it doesn't really say much about them.
9020a and 9020t have different radio hardware
they are not interchangeable
...so i would ASSume neither are the sim cards
fwiw
Please check IMEI label under the battery for your actual phone model.
An i9020a won't work on 3G 1700 band, you are getting 2G GPRS data speed (the little G on signal icon)
Apparently I'm just not in tmobile's 3g network, didn't even occur to me considering every other major provider works great here. I also didn't realize that just the G symbol was 2g or it probably would have clicked. So anyone wanna trade a 20t for 20a?
And both sims worked, but with the at&t card I only had an edge connection.

"Slot has been permanently blocked"

I flashed a custom ROM and the on first screen my device asked to insert the PIN code, then i tried more than two times and it showed "Slot has been permanently blocked". I could't make any phonecalls And when i flashed my stock ROM it works normal.
Do you know how to unlock the SIM slot?
Thank you very much.

Custom ROM: Lolifox V6
---------------------------------
If you truly believe the device is stolen or has otherwise been acquired through illegitimate means, we can't help you - you should contact the authorities and have the seller investigated. Stealing is a crime and stolen IMEIs are blocked for that very reason.
If not, first check that the phone supports the network frequencies that your carrier uses wherever you are - not all phones support all bands, and not all carriers support all bands either.
If you can tell us the make and model of the phone, we can point you to a device-specific forum in case it's a general problem or issue with that phone model.
Beyond that, you can try to take up with the manufacturer of the phone or the carrier if it's a carrier-branded phone.
I once had to make numerous called to my carrier's support line because my new imported phone was somehow registered in my carrier's database as a completely different kind of device, so the system kept kicking me off the data plan."

My device was not stolen, i bought it recently, if you guys want i could post the photography of the box.
I live in BRAZIL (BLU IV) and i am trying to install a custom room for a device which's made for INDIA(GIONE s5.5), the device, it self, is the same, what changes its the "software".I saw a video on youtube that someone from USA installed the same custom ROM and didn't get any problem.
I am apologies for this good English sirs.
If you enter the wrong PIN more than three times, the "slot" gets blocked and you can't use your SIM to connect to the network anymore. Newly bought SIM cards come inside one bigger card on which your PUC is written on. For security purposes, SIM cards require this code to be entered if they get locked down.

Does the US Unlocked Note 20 Ultra (N986U1) pyhsically support two sims?

Hello, I'm trying to clear something up once and for all, I bought a dual sim tray off amazon for my US Unlocked Note 20 Ultra, put two sims in it and inserted it in the phone. However absolutely nothing different happened, only the bottom sim (1) was recognized. I am wondering if the US Note 20 does not physically support two sims (or is these some trick to enable it in software, rooted or not)? If anyone knows for sure, please let me know!
Also on eSim functionality, I am able to get into the CSC menu but it only shows US codes, currently it looks like mine is set to TMB (despite it being unlocked straight from samsung), why do I not have any options for eSim (TMB is supposed to I think)?
Nope, only 1 Sim supported, pretty sure it doesn't have the hardware for two physical sims. Also even though you have T-Mobile csc on your unlocked, you need to flash T-Mobile firmware to use esim. (Essentially turning your U1 into a U. esim won't work on unlocked firmware.

Alright, thanks for the info on this!
This is hilarious.
I bought the 20 because it was widely advertised to have dual sim card support, which I want/need as E-sim is .. well, not really available yet.
So, all the advertisements for the phone everywhere list it as a dual sim card phone, but its not.
GG samsung. ffs. I'd have bought the standard note 20.
Only reason to keep the 20 ultra is the sim card support.
Which even then, the phone handles like crap.
The eSIM has finally been turned on for the unlocked Note 20 Ultra on UI 4.0 beta.
