Hello Everyone,
My voice search is giving me an error. It says "audio problem". I looked up some answers but did not work for me such as:
clear app data
Last resort would be a factory reset but I will hold on until some other trouble shooting suggestions by you guys. I have googled that some app may be causing the problem such as shazam holding on to microphone. I uninstalled shazam and still no go. Any suggestions will be appreciated. thanks!

Hey all,
I originally posted this issue via the link below...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473003
I have not been able to resolve this, despite much effort and trying just about everything to fix it.
I just tried Navigation tonight and encountered this very issue again. Basically, after about 40 seconds navigating to a destination, the phone goes crazy and a female voice starts dictating a bunch of garbage web url's and this continues until you actually end the task/app. I can't figure out why this is happening. The only voice recognition software I have installed is the standard Voice Search app. That works fine. It is when you navigate that this starts happening.
Some of you here and elsewhere stated it can be an issue when installing a new voice recognition tool. However, that doe not apply to me here, as I have not installed any other app specific to this feature.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Maybe try toggling the "text to speach" voice function to see if that clears it up? Or clearing phone cache & davlick?
Thanks. Will try. Been told to do a bunch of other stuff as well.
BTW, Pico or Samsung for text-to-speech engine? Which one should I use or which is best? I'm assuming Google?
I did recently clear cache and davlick. That didn't seem to fix anything though.
Hello,
I've searched the internet and this forum for a few days now, but I'm really starting to wonder what's causing this.
I have (at least) two apps that stop receiving push notifications. They are Bike Race and AutoRemote. Bike Race I'm really not concerned about, but listed it here for reference. AutoRemote, on the other hand, concerns me greatly.
Through discussion with the developer of AutoRemote, and my own research, I've discovered that what's happening is that a message is attempted to be sent to my device, the Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) thinks for some reason that the app was uninstalled, and errors with the message "NotRegistered".
Does anyone have any idea what's causing this and/or how to fix it?
Many thanks!
Bump.
Anyone?

No idea what's causing it but uninstalling and reinstalling AutoRemote seemed to do the trick for me.
I have exactly the same problem..
EDIT - Cleared cache and dalvik cache in recovery mode. And it started working!
Has anyone else had the problem of trying to set up Google Now cards and getting the "network error" message? This is happening on cm11 and Wulf ROM. I've tried uninstalling updates to the Google app, signing out and then back in to the Google app. Nothing seems to be working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There were a couple different posts over the last couple days about Google Now not working for different devices. I was having the same issue and found working results. If you haven't found one of them, or otherwise resolved the issue, you need to delete your card preferences in Google Settings. Go into Google Settings, into Now cards, and delete card preferences. You should then be able to activate Google Now.
I have the same problem on my HTC one m8 after hard reset.
Thank you, xenx, after the hard reset the Google now card not working, i tried delete the cache of the app in application but don't work, your solution is right, thank's a lot.

Mind blown.
Since Nougat arrived on my T-Mobile Galaxy S7, the Google sound search app crashes while recognizing the song title. Have installed and uninstalled the app with no success.
Anyone have any ideas?
Registered to reply here. Exact same deal. Cleared cache / data, uninstalled and reinstalled. Might have to find an alternative for the time being.
Exact problem is that it starts listening and plotting its graph, then just stops updating.
I have the same issue. Nothing online seems to address this. After update to Nougat, Sound Search began freezing at the point it recognizes the song. Tried uninstall/reinstall. Tried reboot phone. Nothing works. Very frustrating. Samsung Galaxy S7.
So my problem comes when I try to recognize any song and I go to google search and I say "ok, google" comes up and I tell google to listen to the music to recognize the song, the search starts doing its thing but never tells me the song is playing, any solution?
I've got the same problem. Was any of you able to solve it?
bump for help. widespread issue on nougat
Was anyone able to solve this problem?
Hey All, my google assistant on my pixel 2 stock rooted June patch on verizon is having odd behavior. It seems that localized commands will work such as, "hey google, what is the weather" or "okay google, turn off mobile data".
When i ask something that requires assistant to go out to thew web for results, it will recognize the command but then it will show the three dots as if it's searching but never return results. Another strange thing is that when i ask it to call my voicemail, it will do the same thing but if i turn off mobile data, it will make the call .
i've tried clearing google app data and cache. i've also taken the SIM out and put it back in but the issue persists.
anyone else ever experience this? any suggestions?
i re-downloaded and re-flashed the system image. issue persists.
Fixed it. Needed to uninstall the Google app updates. I updated again via the n play store and it continued to work
