Volume Incremental/Keypress Sound AOSP - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

k, I've been looking around for this for awhile, and I believe either a tw based GB ROM or cm9 was the last I saw of this feature. I'd like to be able to disable the sound when the volume keys are pressed to either increase or decrease ringtone level.
either that, or if someone can tell me where the .ogg file is located I have no problems doing it manually. its not in /system/media/audio/ui and a full phone based *.ogg search turned up nothing.

Lock/Unlock Custom Sound Issues

I have the EC10 Pick and Pack Rom with the latest Voodoo Kernel on my Samsung Mesmerize. Decided to try and customize things a little and I'm stuck on a problem I'm not sure what to do.
I fell in love with the TTS voice Voodoo does when it configures the system partition. Sounded robotic and I thought I would start changing some sounds. Found the path for changing sounds in system/media/audio/ui through some other threads and it's simple enough to swap the Lock.ogg and TW_Unlock_Puzzle.ogg file to whatever I wanted.
The only issue is, the lock sound comes out nice and clear, but the unlock sound is very very quiet. I had to change the volume of the sound file in my sound editing software as much as 400% just to make it near what the lock sound is. I would be happy if I could get them to sound out at about the same level but this isn't the case.
I'm using http://www.mainepcsales.com/temp/Locked.ogg and http://www.mainepcsales.com/temp/Unlocked.ogg as files. You can see I cranked up the volume on the Unlocked.ogg file so it's obviously louder but if I go any louder it will come out with a lot of static.
Does anyone know what causes this behavior? As far as sound options they are all cranked up. Maybe I'm missing something... if you could point me in the right direction if this is the wrong place to post about this I would greatly appreciate it.
The Lock.ogg and Unlock.ogg are the files I assumed I had to replace to change the Lock/Unlock sounds but it seemed like the Unlock.ogg was incorrect. It was instead TW_Unlock_Puzzle.ogg that I had to replace with my custom sound to have it changed.
This leads me to believe that the TouchWiz launcher is configured to have a softer Unlock sound versus the Lock sound. I don't know more about Android OS to configure it and I don't even know if it's possible to change the volume of a sound in the TouchWiz application.

System/media volume

I am aware that system volume is tied to media volume (which is stupid and can't be explained by any logic) so I'm using AudioGuru widget to set my audible selection (tick) sounds to the level that I like while keeping my media volume at different level.
Now, everytime I use navigation (google) or phone, system volume seems to re-set itself again. Anyone else is annoyed with that or am I just being picky?
BTW, since I'm going to be using CM as soon as it comes out, I opened a new enhancement request on CM tracker regarding broken system volume issue (i.e. it does not stay at pre-set levels but rather follows media volume which is really annoying)
Please star it so we can get some resolution (hopefully in the form of separate slider in settings) and it trickles down to other roms.
You can vote on it HERE
Thank you in advance.

[Q] what file should i edit to increase the volume of the touch sound ?

thank you for you answer
/system/media/audio/ui/. Some files in there, likely the Effect_Tick.ogg or maybe a Keypress*.ogg.
thanks but thats not the solution
i know where is the file and if i play it in the player it is much louder (playing through the media vol) than played by the system ui vol
how can i control the system ui volume?
Pretty much all of your options are located in the Settings -> Sound menu. If they're at full, pretty much the only feasible way to increase sound is to either:
1. Edit the files i mentioned (audacity, for example, can do this)
2. Use an app such as Volume+. I'm unsure if this works on ICS though, i've not needed to jack up the volume myself.
Thanks
but you are still wrong i have volume+
and the touch volume is not controlled by any of the sound sliders in the sound menu
unless you put on vibrate then its mute

[Q] Changing the default volume-control the volumebuttons control

Hello.
I was wondering if theres any way to change the default volume-control which the volume-buttons control?
Currently, and on all ROMs Ive tried, the default volume is set to Ringtone.
What that means is, if no sound is playing (like, you idle on the homescreen or whatever), pressing the volumebuttons changes the ringtone volume.
I always manage to press the volumbuttons by accident, changing the ringtone volume...
I thought it was just a matter of getting used to the rather sensitive buttons, but lately its started to become an issue.
Ive missed several calls because Ive managed to reduce the ringtone volume without noticing.
So, what I want is a way to change this default behavior to instead of changing the ringtone volume - change the media volume.
I personally have no reason to change the ringtone volume "quickly", and would much rather be able to quickly change the media volume - even if no media is playing.
I hope you understand what I mean, kinda hard to explain
My current ROM is DarkJelly CM10 Build 24 with stock CM10 kernel, and Id prefer not to move away from it - I like it

Slowly increasing ringtone volume

Hello!
Is it possible to have slowly increasing ringtone volume like on alarms?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=akostaapps.escalatingring
This app may or may not work. Reviews say it may not work on newer Android versions.
Otherwise, the only way to have this is with a custom ROM. Certain ROMs add an option for this to the sound settings. I can't recommend a specific ROM as I am on stock currently.
I think that's called ascending. Used to be on the Nokia..I reckon an app could do that. Maybe magisk.
Why not make a tasked profile for it?
Any phone call set ringer volume to 40%,wait X seconds, set 50%, wait X, set 60% wait etc
Just use Audacity and edit your sound file.
