Unlocking Bootloader Failed!

I've been using Hasoon2000's toolkit to try to root my One X. Everything was working great but when I try to enter the Token Key to unlock my bootloader I get an error......Invalid Bootlaoder Token Length.
Anyone else getting this error?
I copied the token just as explained in the toolkit.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

So you already received the token from HTC?

please help I have the same problem :silly:

If you are stuck trying to enter the token key on the htcdev site then read THIS and see if you made the same mistake. If not then you must specify in more detail your issue and what you did to get it.

Same thing happened to me a few times until I figured out that a space was being inserted at the end of the token that needed to be deleted after you paste the token -- its either that or the space that gets inserted at the end needs to be left there, I can't quite remember but after you trim all of the other unnecessary characters off the token then copy paste and give it a try

[Q] htcdev unable to register, requesting assistance from other registered user

Please helpp!!!!!!!!!!!
I have HTC Sensation Z710e non branded running on ICS stock rom Software 3.33.705.51 with HBOOT 1.27 and locked bootloader.
I want to htcdev to unlock my bootloader, but have been two days trying to register there with my gmail get error "Registration Error The email you chose is not available". Try with yahoo still got same problem. I would greatly appreciate it if someone who is already registered to the htc dev website could input my token ID and forward me the result.

The main problem is i can't register in htcdev bro.....

yeah i don't understand why registrations aren't happening...
but once you have the unlock.bin file i dont think you need htc dev....just put the file in the same folder as adb and fastboot...
run command prompt and flash the unlock file...
i dont remember the exact command but i think it is

fastboot flash unlocktoken <name of unlock file>
that should unlock your bootloader...pm me if more problems...
or just click the link in email i sent you for instructions

Where else i can get my unlock.bin besides htcdev sites bro......
I will apreciate and many thanks if someone could generate my unlock.bin file using my token above.

I already check my email (gmail/yahoo) and found nothing about unlock.bin file. Even i check in spam area.

Have not trying it cause my pc were problem suddenly and need to reformat.
One question, i see some people in this forum were able to flash recovery and install custom rom while their device were in locked bootloader and s-on condition.
Can you give the right tutorial/link to do that, cause i'm still confuse reading so many tutorial here, include juoputbear and revolutionary. All i want is just to install recovery and flash custom rom. Thanks for the help.

Hey,
As far as i know, you absolutely cannot flash anything with locked bootloader and S-On...
If you want to root without HTC Dev unlock, then get S-Off from here

The thread seems a little complicated and to be honest I have never done it...but other users have done it succesfully...so u may try it..
But i dont think you need to do that...If flashing roms is all you want to do...then just unlock bootloader and flash 4EXT recovery with smartflash enabled...works perfectly...
S-Off is only essential for getting Super CID (being able to flash any radio) and some other stuff....not essential for flashing roms

i have difficulty to register at htcdev.
But i managed to get a token for my htc sensation europe by using a password found on the net.
Can somebody help me to get unlock by using my token?

the first and last lines left out when you submitted it? >>>> TOKEN Start <<<<<, <<<<Token End>>>> left out.

Hi afuller42,
First and last lines were included as per the instructions in htcdev:
When copying the token, start with this line:
<<<< Identifier Token Start >>>>
And end with this line:
<<<<< Identifier Token End >>>>>
In addition i also tried without these lines and i got the same result.

Hey. I tried you code and it worked just fine.
PM me your email, I ll forward your Unlock_code.bin
Probably a temp server failure, or sth wrong when copy-pasting

Now i've got one more problem. I'm running Windows 8.1 on my PC and when my HTC One S (S3 version) is on fastboot, windows do not recognize my phone device. Any solution on this?

Agapite sigxoriane paralimniti,
HTC's usb drivers are not Windows 8.1 compatible.
You need a PC with Windows 8 or earlier. Or google it, some workarounds have been posted during the last months.

I have 8.1 and I had to reinstall adb/fastboot using this installer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979. I have latest HTC drivers installed also

Where did you find the latest HTC drivers (from htc sync manager?)?
My problem is that when the phone enters in fastboot, windows 8.1 do not recognize the phone device.
