MEEGO
Meego is currently only available for some devices like nexus s
May be in future we can expect successful ports of meego and Boot to gecko for our GFit.

Android is not pure linux. It just uses linux kernel and some filesystem tools and share some similarities.
So don't call it linux. But Tizen/Meego is linux and is hosted by linux foundation.

Well this question goes unanswered so let me be the first to say that I will pick up on this project and run with it to come up with a port for the evo3D. I will obtain the source code from the following link.

I have a mac as well, I couldn't bother waiting for a root method for the Mac os, so what I did was install parallel 9,which is a program that runs windows within Mac and voila an hour or so later (once I set up my note for the root) I managed to get root on my note and boy am I loving it, hope that helps mate

You know .... It's real easy to install windows 7 with bootcamp . I use it for all my android tweaking , and windows also has lot of cooler toys for video conversions and what not and windows games are awesome . Just give it few hundred GBytes and you are good to go . Think about it .
Parallels for mac running windows 8 works great I use it on my imac to root my note 2

Bootcamp dude. . I ONLY use Windows for android stuff.
T-_-ldi was here.
I can't even connect note 3 with the mac. Finally I rooted it on Windows 7 in the parallels desktop 9. It just took 1 minute with the right program.
