Each ROM I try to flash on my LG Phoenix(p505) ends in my phone booting with all freaky looking colors rather than the normal colors. It almost looks like the phone is a negative of a photo. CM10.1 flashed and looked perfect, but the home button didn't work for me. If this is posted in here somewhere i apologize for posting this, but I tried searching and I am having no luck and I am just going crazy trying to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Pete

Hello there,
I'm by no means an expert with mobile phones, but was recently given a C600 and having done some research on the net managed to unlock the phone myself.
However, although the phone was working fine with an O2 prepay sim card for the past few weeks, it has now decided to have what can only be described as a 'fit' every time i try to use it.
Half the time the three colured screen comes up when i turn it on, which says tornado, and a series of numbers, and then when i can get the phone switched on properly, half the time some of the buttons refuse to work, and the other half the phone will decide to flip between the earpiece volume setting screen, the camera, and the voice command thingy, when all i am trying to do is to text my mate to see if he wants to go for a beer!
Needless to say i haven't had a beer for the last two days, and am a little annoyed about being constantly outwitted by a mobile phone, so i decided to come to the experts for help.
Thanks to anyone who can help me resolve this issue!!
thanks guys, i clearly came to the right place here!
great.
what rom did you install on your tornado?

Wow you waited whole hour and a half before you gave up to wait for an answer, LOL.
PS
Your problem is cammera button - its half stuck so you need to clean it.

didn't change the rom at all as i heard that the new one was no good, its as it came out of the factory...
however, the toggle button is now not responding at all as with many other c600s from what i can tell on the net, so i may have to install the new rom anyway and hope that solves the problem.
i have a feeling that i will have to go through the entire process of unlocking the phone again when i have installed the new rom also, i'm starting to wonder if it is worth it....but i do really like the phone so it would be a shame to give up
thanks a lot for the help, if anyone else can help please post...
thanks

25 and a half hours, but sorry for the impatience its just very frustrating to not be able to use a phone when i have no spare.
i'm pretty sure the problem runs a little deeper than the camera button but i'll give it a try.
thanks
I have 2 rooted slides. One of the works perfectly one does not. I have serious networking issues and market crashes. Now half of the keyboard lights do not work. I updated the radio thinking that may solve the networking issues and it helped...a little... However the keyboard lights I am assuming is a hardware issue.
So I was going to send it back to tmo and unroot using the instructions in the slide bible. However the link posted there to get the factory Rom does not have the download there.
(Sorry I cannot link it, the system will not let me because I am a noob here)
Can anyone tell me where to get the factory Rom?
Thanks
wow no help???

Hello, I have pretty solid belief after trying to fix my phone for 3 days now that its bricked badly. I was in the process of loading a new rom and in the process of doing so a breaker in our house went out and the power in my room turned off and so did my computer in the process of putting a new rom in.
So the first thing it did was show a phone--/!\--computer symbol, and I found a few ppl with similar problems and I tried to pull battery and go into download mode by holding down volume + and volume - and put the battery in after a few seconds and then usb. No luck
I then tried to go through the other solution of downloading unbrickable infuse mod and setting that up but once it started talking about soldering stuff I was lost and I scraped that idea. I tried some small other stuff like leaving the battery out of it well I went to work. come home still no luck. Finally I tried the "well its pretty much dead as it lets try this." and I tried to flash GTG's ultimate unbrick to my phone... and I first I thought it worked.. it found my phone, and everything went smooth then after that my phone stopped working completely. No power, no logo, no sound, not even seen by my computer.
Any help is appreciated i've been trying to find and rummage through as many threads as possible and use them to help, but I'm at a loss. Going to continue but any advice would be helpful.
I'm an avid follower of this site and forum, and have had this phone the day it released. Any help is appreciated thank you in advance ^_^
good morning bump... ^_^
=\ Really need help here, Ive been lurking xda for a long time, and just haven't posted but I really would appreciate help >.<
A have a link to a video that I would appreciate you to check out. My Samsung Infuse 4g shut off randomly during use and constantly reboots itself. The rest is explained in the video's description.
*i can't link because I'm a new user.. However.. The phone shuts off and pulls up the Samsung screen, i have flashed a custom CM9 ROM onto it, however it ran fine until it just randomly shut off.. I don't know why it did it. But now I can't get it into Download Mode or into it's Clockwork Recovery.. I'm not sure if it is bricked or if there is any way I can fix it.. The video is titled "Samsung Infuse 4g AT&T (Please Help)" it will either be under Brandon Meadors or androiduser360. Please and thank you for help.
Thank you so much for any help you can give.
Hi M8! Yesterday i posted a thread about the very same situation, i have two motherboards with that same issue. My guess i that youre not used to flash cell phones, so my guess is also that it means that you dont have develop good soldering skills. Theres a development made by a guy named Adam Outler in here called Unbrickable Mod. He is very highly skill developer. I have the same issue you have right now with a couple motherboards i have. And im going to apply that mod today to see if i can restore my cell phone back. If it works ill let you know, so that maybe you can find a way to do it. If thats the case, i suggest you to read, read, and keep reading lol... Theres a lot to learn about when we deal with situations like that. Ive never deal with something like that, but ive done UnbrickableMod many times already. So ill let you know
Well you can always use a usb jig if you want it will boot your phone into download mode then flash to stock.
Heres a good link on how to make one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604707
Yeah its a good idea Ty113096, the problem is that the JIG doesnt work either. When you insert the JIG the phone will get to download mode ok, but then a couple seconds later it will reboot and the bootloop goes on and on. Oh! By the way UnbrickableMod didnt solve it! The phone will do pretty much the same when the resurrector is applied. Very strange situation but such is life i guess...
Thank you guys so much for the help.. So.. Is this unfixable?

If you can get into recovery (pull battery, up/down volume depressed, connect usb and install battery)...these are some posts that I've found helpful. If it works, hit qksters and jscotts thanks.

P.S. qksters is stickied right at the top of this q&a forum. Section A would probably apply to you.
Take out the battery and place it back. Does it automatically turn on?
If it does then your problem is the power button.

You saved the day, i took the phone apart like 3 times trying to figure it out. thank you.
(what fixed it for me was i removed the housing and took out the plastic/rubber button cover, then put battery back in phone -and for the first time it didnt power up on it's own!!! clicked the little white button-node with pry tool and it started like normal) so simple...
Hey everyone! First post on the xda forums. I apologize if someone has already covered this issue but I havent been able to find anything about it. I've been rooting phones for a little over a year now, started with my good old LG Optimus T, and most of the time everything went perfect unless a ROM gave me fits. Now I'm onto the LG G2x and I love the phone but I'm having issues with CWM and running ROMS. The biggest issue is that when I boot into Clockwork Recovery, my phone sometimes restarts once the backlight times out, which is really odd and super annoying when I'm trying to install a ROM or do anything else. Everything is usually fine if I just keep touching the screen while its doing anything because I'm keeping the backlight active. I feel as if I installed recovery wrong. I first installed it using the CWM app which seems like a no-no, and since then have installed it with NvFlash, which hasn't changed anything. Can anybody maybe explain why this is happening? I'm also having issues getting any ROM to be reliable, every one I've tried will maybe work for a little bit, but after a while will just get into a loop of starting up, working for a bit then my phone restarting and its just the same loop over and over again. I'm wondering if that can be attributed to CWM. Anyways, sorry for the long post. Can anybody help me? Thanks
