How to USB tether with mobile phone 3g? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got wireless working, but not sure how to set up USB tether? :-S
I plugged USB from phone to dock, now what :-S
Using Cleanrom 3.2 - unters kernel

I don't know about USB tether with this, but until you figure it out, you could do bluetooth tether - that is assuming you're running an app on the phone which will engage it, like OpenGarden.

Just wanted to say that Open Garden works great. I have my tf300t paired to my sg959g using this app.

[Q] TF300T Wi-Fi Connection Issues

I have had my TF300T for a few weeks now, and I notice that it does not always connect to my wireless network at home. My home router is a Linksys E4200V2 and all my other wireless devices connect with no problem.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this same problem, and if you found a solution for it?
MJ
Try setting ur wifi to 2.4ghz or if your rooted reflash the ROM

I'm not rooted, running the latest firmware. The router has two separate sections, 1 for 2.4GHz and 1 for 5GHz. Should I completely disable the 5GHz?

[Q] Hdmi -> Tv, not recognized?

Hi,
I have the TF300T, and I want to connect it to my tv. When I do so, with a mini hdmi cable, the tab says it's connected with the tv, but the tv does nothing.
Any help?
Thanks.

I'll try this too when I get an adapter. Make sure that the TV is getting signal from the correct source (switch it to the HDMI port connected to the tablet).

Also are you using a custom rom? I've heard trouble with things like this with custom ROMs

Yup, I set it on the right source.
No result.
No, it's not rooted cause it's the tab for the whole family.

You could try with another adapter/cable, to make sure that the problem is with the tablet only.

Oh. Could do that. But we only have 1 cable, and we bought it yesterday. I think it's aproblem from the tv, but not sure.
Hmm maybe take it to a store like best buy where you can try it on multiple TVs?

Dock stops responding?

Has anyone else had this? The dock just stops responding sometimes and doesn't respond to any inputs. It doesn't happen often but when it does it's annoying. It requires me to disconnect and then reconnect the dock again. Also, do people find a slight lag with the cap locks key or is that just me?

Also, does anyone find that the youtube app is slow to start? There is a certain definite delay when clicking the app and it actually launching for me. Been there before the jellybean update too and i still have the same issue

I dont use youtube. To get rid of the lag with the dock, i had to slash updste a and then add ons, assuming your on hydro jb

Nah, I'm on stock ROM and unrooted. It's just the youtube app when i launch it, whether i have the dock connected or not. Theres a definite delay

Use a different launcher

It happens when i select it from the app drawer as well

Ehh youtube has its own issues with JB as does every app not optimized for it, yet.

It happened on ICS as well.
Does anyone find that the email app doesn't work? It gets stuck on "syncing" for me and just stays like that.
Also, might as well ask, is the Caps Lock Key on the keyboard dock a bit slow for everyone? Meaning that there is a delay and it isn't as fast as Windows.

Also, on an unrelated note, would a dead pixel show even when the screen is off? I can see it whilst the light is shining on it.

Email seems to be fine on mine, and caps lock is tiny bit slow but not that much
My email still doesn't work

I've had the problem with the dock not responding; at least the touch pad. What I do is disable and enable the touchpad and the cursor will appear and then all is well.

Manually controlling when the dock charges?

As the title already states, is there a way to manually control when the dock charges the tablet?

Look at the HDMI receptacle on the motherboard. Its lower part might have come apart (bent out) and prevented good connection between its pins and those of the cable. Bend it back in so the "teeth" will lock together again, and put some sort of brace around it. Then it will work again. Good luck.
