Hi,
I have the TF300T, and I want to connect it to my tv. When I do so, with a mini hdmi cable, the tab says it's connected with the tv, but the tv does nothing.
Any help?
Thanks.

I'll try this too when I get an adapter. Make sure that the TV is getting signal from the correct source (switch it to the HDMI port connected to the tablet).

Also are you using a custom rom? I've heard trouble with things like this with custom ROMs
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
Yup, I set it on the right source.
No result.
No, it's not rooted cause it's the tab for the whole family.

You could try with another adapter/cable, to make sure that the problem is with the tablet only.

Oh. Could do that. But we only have 1 cable, and we bought it yesterday. I think it's aproblem from the tv, but not sure.
Hmm maybe take it to a store like best buy where you can try it on multiple TVs?

Found the answer - use Quickpic app
How many times do you guys have to power cycle a day?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using XDA Premium HD app
I do it about once a day but only because Dark Meadow has an annoying problem of not loading the textures correctly upon starting (white flashing light). Rebooting fixes it, albeit temporarily.
i don't have this tablet but i'd never reboot any devices unless i have to (for reasons like not responding, must reboot to have more ram to play games)
Maybe once a week.
None required with every day use for a hour or more
I only rebooted when testing SIO and CIFSmanager. Can't get CIFS to work
quite often when I had my Prime, most of the time it did it automatically.
Not at all with my infinity.
Did you install the latest firmware update?

I do a cold boot after every backup of my apps. Thats either when I add/revise my app listing or it that does not happen by the end of the week I do a cold boot at that time.

I haven't rebooted my tablet or phone in like a week. I'll regularly do it when working with them a lot, but in normal usage I don't need to reboot it.
Rebooting your devices is good though, it helps reset things, I think the dalvik is the main issue.

Has anyone else had this? The dock just stops responding sometimes and doesn't respond to any inputs. It doesn't happen often but when it does it's annoying. It requires me to disconnect and then reconnect the dock again. Also, do people find a slight lag with the cap locks key or is that just me?

Also, does anyone find that the youtube app is slow to start? There is a certain definite delay when clicking the app and it actually launching for me. Been there before the jellybean update too and i still have the same issue

I dont use youtube. To get rid of the lag with the dock, i had to slash updste a and then add ons, assuming your on hydro jb
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app
Nah, I'm on stock ROM and unrooted. It's just the youtube app when i launch it, whether i have the dock connected or not. Theres a definite delay

Use a different launcher

It happens when i select it from the app drawer as well

Ehh youtube has its own issues with JB as does every app not optimized for it, yet.

It happened on ICS as well.
Does anyone find that the email app doesn't work? It gets stuck on "syncing" for me and just stays like that.
Also, might as well ask, is the Caps Lock Key on the keyboard dock a bit slow for everyone? Meaning that there is a delay and it isn't as fast as Windows.

Also, on an unrelated note, would a dead pixel show even when the screen is off? I can see it whilst the light is shining on it.

Email seems to be fine on mine, and caps lock is tiny bit slow but not that much

I've had the problem with the dock not responding; at least the touch pad. What I do is disable and enable the touchpad and the cursor will appear and then all is well.

From my experience (not plugged in HDMI for a while) you have to have volume up before connecting HDMI cable - if you have sound off before connecting it will never go up.
I did this already at other forum I have seen this sort of solution but that did not work even I did factory reset.

Can't speak for the no sound issue, but no full screen is a "known issue" with 4.2 on the Transformer, and, frankly, with Android 4.2 in general. If you check the Google support forum you'll see hundreds of complaints about it.
And cyanogenmod or ot her rom with 4.3?

Would that work?

Have you tried it on other TV's? Maybe your TV needs a firmware update.
Have you tried a different HDMI cord? Maybe the one your using isn't highspeed (newer ones with newest protocol and 3D support).

Yes i have just bought a new cabble and yes to i update the software yesterday so..
And more people have problems with itand if custom rom doesnot have it i may consider that

Look at the HDMI receptacle on the motherboard. Its lower part might have come apart (bent out) and prevented good connection between its pins and those of the cable. Bend it back in so the "teeth" will lock together again, and put some sort of brace around it. Then it will work again. Good luck.
