[Repack] Aorth's ClockWorkMod 6.0.2.7 (Odin Format) (All Devices) - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hey guys. Aorth has released a new CWM build, and so it looks like its time for more repack action...
The original thread / post where the Heimdall versions are posted is HERE.
What Is This?
This is the new 6.0.2.7 version of CWM as built by Aorth. This release differs from Aorth's only in the way it is "packed". Aorth releases raw IMG files which are suitable for use with Heimdall. These files have been repacked to work with Odin. Aorth (justifiably) is against the use of Odin because its a closed-source utility that was never meant for public use. However, some people (like me) have issues making it work correctly and prefer to use Odin to flash. This release lets you do that.
News
I haven't found a lotta info about what's new in this release, aside from "the latest support for Android 4.1+"
I know that some of the storage and mountpoint stuff has been changing around a bit, so if you're gonna be using CM10+ ROMs, you'll want this recovery.
I changed my packaging slightly from last time. I am now packing the files inside of ZIP files. This allows me to name each released file properly without breaking the MD5 checksum, which should allow you to flash without issues. On my previous release(s) I renamed the file to be flashed, which causes an "invalid MD5" error.
How To Use?
I don't plan on doing a lot of handholding n00b-helpery in this thread. If you're flashing a custom recovery you should generally know WTF you're doing.
-Unzip the recovery for your device. You should get a recovery.tar.md5 file. DO NOT rename this.
-Put your tab into download or Odin mode.
-Hook it up to your computer via USB
-Launch Odin3 Version 1.85 (linked in this thread in case you lost yours )
-If Odin can 'see' your tab you should have a yellow box that says something like 0:[COM16]. If you don't have this, check USB and/or make sure you're really in download mode.
-Click the "PDA" button and then select the recovery.tar.md5 file.
-Click Start.
-Profit.
Standard XDA Disclaimer
I only own a T869 and I didn't build the original CWM or do any development. I have fully documented my involvement and "what I did", and just like with Aorth's direct releases, there's no warranty that comes with this software. If you brick your stuff its not my fault, nor is you losing your mind, job, love life, or faith in our Android savior as a result of using any of these files.

As with my previous threads, I used an Ubuntu Server 12.10 system to do the "repack". For the interested, you can "convert" a Heimdall img into an Odin md5.tar package with the following terminal commands:
Code:
mv t869_clockworkmod_6.0.1.2.img recovery.img
tar -H ustar -c recovery.img > recovery.tar
md5sum -t recovery.tar >> recovery.tar
mv recovery.tar recovery.tar.md5
zip recovery.tar.md5 t869_clockworkmod_6.0.1.2.zip
rm recovery.tar.md5
rm recovery.img

Would there be any chances that i would brick my tab if i do this? Im using stock ICS.. rooted.. 5+ CWM.. (i dont really remember)
Thank you very much!

Not really, provided you know how to re-stock via Odin.
All this does is over-write the recovery partition on your device, so worst case is you mess up your recovery and can't get into it anymore until you fix it via re-stock. Obviously you'd only want to do this kind of thing withOUT a relatively full battery charge.

Some other people in this thread seem to have successfully used the p6200 version without issue, which would imply that your download is corrupt. You could re-download, or you could give the Heimdall version a try.

The "ROM" or OS portion of your tablet is seperate from your "recovery" partition, which is where CWM lives. You can (and probably should) be using this instead of the "stock" recovery, since the stock recovery has been known to cause bricked devices during formatting.

can i flash the cwm by mobile Odin?

How do I flash a .rar file?
I'd like to know this as well...
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App
Hey Guys,
I think you need a windows computer and to download Odin to flash the leaks. I've been using a windows computer. Not sure how to do it with a mac.
When you get the .rar file to your computer, extract it with winrar or peazip or whatever file compressor you like. It's gonna ask you for the password which is "sampro.pl" Then load up Odin. Put your phone in download mode (pull battery, replace battery, press and hold both volume buttons while plugging in the USB cable). Click the PDA button in Odin, and select the I997UCKK2-Homebinary.tar.md5 file and hit the start button.

Thanks, I was getting hung up at the password. Been awhile since I've done it this way. Much appreciated!
You have to extract the rar and pull the homebinary.tar file out and place it in pda slot in odin....put phone in download mode and then.press start on odin

You should be able to skip all that. But i'm almost sure you must clear data!
Mac users can use heimdall. Extract the .tar.md5 open heimdall go to the"flash" tab, load the infuse.pit from the unbrick packages, click "add" to add partitions, then browse for the appropriate file. You will add these partitions and these files.
Ibl/pbl - boot.bin
Sbl- sbl.bin
Kernel-zimage
Factoryfs- factoryfs.rfs
Modem-modem.bin
Cache-csc.rfs
Database-dbdata.rfs
Some of these partitions are somewhat optional. I typically don't flash dbdata cache or param.ifs (param.ifs isn't usually included in theses leaks) also I only flash ibl and pbl once. Those are the bootloaders and will fix the rainbows on boot, once you have GB compatible bootloaders you never have to flash them again.
Also if it sounds complicated then get heimdall 1.1, it was more user friendly for the custom flashes. Nobody I'd really distributing the heimdall specific packages that the new ui is designed around so its kinda useless. 1.1 may be better for some people.
There is a little more to setting up heimdall on the Mac that I don't know. Something about "codeless kext" but there may be details in the read me file.

Flash entropys kernel, that Should give you root but it breaks video. If you want video flash back to stock kernel, you should be able to keep root.
I would suggest after flashing entropys to go into market and get busybox and superuser if it doesn't install it for you from flashing kernel

[Q]: How to convert .img to .tar (recovery image)

Hello,
So I wanted to manually install recovery clockwork touch recovery 5.8.1.3 for the skyrocket, so I went to http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager and downloaded it the only problem is that is a .img file and not a .tar file that I could flash it via odin...
I would like to know the steps to make a .tar file that will flash via odin successfully.
If someone knowledgeable can help me that would be greatly appreciated it.
Thanks again!
Name it recovery.img and tar it up on a Linux box, windows built tars don't seem too work well, then flashed away.

Actually, stay away from the ROM Manager version, flash this one instead, it's already in a tar: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22004305&postcount=1

Did you not see that cschmitt gave you a link to a tar? It's for v5.5.0.4. There's also already a thread here for v5.8.1.3 in an Odin flashable tar. Didn't you search? Unless this is more of a practice exercise for you, which is totally understandable.

The question is not where to find it or how to flash it...(I know that) Te question is (how to) convert the file downloaded from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager and make/convert it to a .tar file that odin can find and flash... This question is for future reference and for everyone out there that is interested in learning (how-to) like me.
The thing is that when I download the touch recovery image from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager is not being detected by odin my guess is because is a .img file so the question I have beem asking since day one is does anyone out there know how to convert it so it can work via odin... either on linux or windoze... and I mean the how-to instructions step by step.
Well thank you so much.

ODIN flashable files must be in the tar format. Information on the tar command can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tar_(file_format)
Each file in the tar must have a specific file name which is resolved against the pit file stored in the phone to determine which partition it will be flashed to.
A reference of the partition to ODIN file mappings for the 727 can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25536393&postcount=1
In general, the tar file needs to be created on a machine running a version of Linux operating system. Ubuntu is a good place to start as there is an installer called Wubi that will allow you to install it into a file-based partition of an existing windows system. Information on installing Ubuntu via Wubi can be found here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide/
So, assuming that you have installed Ubuntu linux and you have your recovery.img in the home directory of that installation, the command to package recovery into an ODIN flashable tar would be:
Code:
tar -cf recovery-image.tar recovery.img
Take the recovery-image.tar file and flash it in ODIN (place it in the PDA section.)
----------
Now, a word of advice: Nobody is going to hold your hand around here, we are all big boys and girls and those who are most successful have put in the time to figure things out for themselves. If, after exhausting every possible Google search known to man (Google is your friend) , you still can't figure something out-- then ask your question, and not something like 'how do I create a .tar ?'
Explain what you have tried so far, what worked, and what didn't and ask very specific questions-- you will find that the dev's and long time contributors will sense that you're giving it your best shot and jump right in to help get you rolling again.
If you've done much reading on these forums over time you'll begin to notice that the same 10 or 12 questions get asked over, and over, and over and that gets really old, especially when most, if not all of these questions, have been answered numerous times and compiled into stickies that mysteriously hang at the top of every forum.

Ty for the patience :good:
P.s: also, when i manage to download this file I9003XXKPH_I9003XXKPH_I9003SERKPH.zip from here http://hotfile.com/dl/145784146/61cb31c/I9003XXKPH_I9003XXKPH_I9003SERKPH.zip.html ...how am i supposed to make odin read the uncompressed content?? it is like normalboot.img...Odin requires .tar, md5 or smd for PDA field! :S D:
P.p.s: i guees that normalboot.img was a weird download error....now i have the right file....but checking some guides like kkrraazzyy ones i discovered i need to also select a file for the PIT field...and later, also a modem one and CSC.....ok, while i was writing i also saw this: "IF there is only a file of the f.w i.e. pda file then do NOT use a pit file for flashing just select the pda and flash it " cit. kkrraazzyy. So i said **** this i go flash this....lets hope ;D

But watch this thread! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647 ....all mirrors are dead and from mediafire u cant really download (eg i failed 1 dl, i have to wait 30 mins ;S)....also would like to know which is the difference between all those many versions and if there is a more upgraded one or one which fits best for my sl I9003 (firmware: 2.3.6, non-rooted)
P.p.s: i guees that normalboot.img was a weird download error....now i have the right file....but checking some guides like kkrraazzyy ones i discovered i need to also select a file for the PIT field...and later, also a modem one and CSC.....ok, while i was writing i also saw this: "IF there is only a file of the f.w i.e. pda file then do NOT use a pit file for flashing just select the pda and flash it " cit. kkrraazzyy. So i said **** this i go flash this....lets hope ;D

ok..
I have wiped all datas and the phone booted, ty....but now i see i only have an older version of the firmware 2.3.4 and XXKPH but no root acces...so how can i flash my phone in order to have root access?
Yo guys, again a problem....i have finally flashed my phone to XXLE4....i flashed it twice in order to get it rooted aftet with vf root, so i downloaded the rooting file from here http://www.mediafire.com/?07jdblow193h1jw i guess i chose the right version (it is for XXLE4)...so after geetting xle4, i flashed that file for rooting and now phone keeps on rebooting randomly after very few seconds it is booted....wtf
.-.
Ok the issue is kind of solved....im now sure that is the cf-root file which leads the phone to keep on rebooting...now i flashed again the XXLE4 and everything is cool....ill try out rooting with superoneclick....still if u have have suggestion it is welcomed of course cheers:fingers-crossed:

look, if your firmware has only 1 file.. then no need..
but then, you'll have to first flash a firmware which has 4 firmware files... for doing that flash pit file and then the firmware files..
then to flash the rom with only 1 firmware file, in PDA select that one file and flash..
huh?

These 2 XDA threads offer information on PIT files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=816449
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999097
Basically, I'd only ever use a PIT file if Odin threw up an error relating to it, 99% of the time these are not needed when using Odin unless you've screwed up your devices partitions.
It's handy to have this file saved as a backup though just in case that ever happened
okey i got it now, thanks it's really hepful :good::good::good:
invalid pit for t310

How, a little more information would be nice?
What model did you use it on; T310, T311 or T315?
What options did you tick in ODIN?
I compared the same PIT file to one extracted with heimdall on my T310, all entries/contents were the same, it came from a T311 firmware package but T310 firmware packages also have the same file. T315 uses a different named PIT file hence why I was uncertain.
Just now I've even compared it to another PIT file off the SamMobile forums that a Moderator posted for the T310, everything is the same, ODIN will reject it if it isn't signed as well.
https://www.diffchecker.com/cta675hS
I didn't force you to use the file, nor was this a guide in anyway, your device must have been in a bad way for you to consider using it.
In any case I've now removed the file.

First ever attempt to upgrade my tab and failed! Need some direction

With much embarrassment I have to admit I really thought I was smarter than a tablet and a few simple clicks. Apparently not. So now I am here with issues that I am sure someone can answer because your more advanced than a few clicks and a tablet.
I have briefly looked for a resolve to my issue but it is very overwhelming. So if you can just point me in the right direction and hold my hand at the same time I would be very appreciative :good:
Issues:
I originally downloaded Odin, GT-P5113 4.0.4, CM 12.1, CW Unofficial Touch 6.0.3.3 p5100 zip. I launced Odin and followed the steps from a you-tube video. Well upon my surprise CW was not on the tablet so I was at the Tabs generic recovery screen. I choose the option to delete all user data ( lots of no's to select from and one Yes). Well continuing to be a fool I completed this process. When the tablet rebooted I was stuck at the Samsung logo screen. I decided to get to the download screen and install smt810_cf_autoroot.tar. After loading this tar via Odin I became stuck on the Android man downloading screen. Waited a bit and nothing. Then my tablet shut down and came up with "Firmware upgrade encountered and issue" with the tablet-yellow ! icon and pc icon.
Another issue is when i download these files Odin will not find them in my file. Why? I usually keep them unzipped as a .rar in order for odin to show them so I can select PDA and attempt to install them.
Is there a way to still upgrade the Android system and fix this Firmware error at the same time?
Basically I am so new to this I need specific directions on resolving my issue. So if anyone has a moment please help me out here. I appreciate your time and knowledge
And I can use Odin to install to the tablet. If that helps Just not in the download screen on the tablet.

first you should download the stock firmware of your device, if it's p5113 then search and download the same firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203309 check this thread if it's there, if it's not please google it, if already have it, ignore..
Once you have it, you should get the firmware md5 file (by unzipping the rar.) Odin will take tar file or md5 file. put it in Odin AP/PDA check the thread for all the details on how to flash correctly.
you have to get into download mode by pressing the power and volume up/right to do that once the firmware is successfully flashed and your tab starts running again. first get this part done.
Always use files that are meant only for your device. if your tab say p5113. then make sure the file you are flashing states it is meant for p5113 and not p5100. (maybe not in the rooting case cause it's same
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2203309 here for all)
At some places you will find files marked as p51xx. those files are generally safe too and are meant for the p51xx tab series but that is later stage.
I appreciate the feedback and have found I had tried to flash my tablet with GT-P5110 software when i actually have a GT-P5113TS. I have found the firmware but my issue is when I download anything and extract it with using rar. I never get a .tar file or anything Odin can not recognize to select PDA and use.. What would cause that? How do I fix this?
Thank You

Try winrar or 7zip, it should extract, you need md5 or tar format in pda section. If not what error are you getting? There must be some file when you open the archive?
Basically when I download the zip file I want and then extract it to a specific folder. All I after unzipping is File folders with other file folders inside,Img, File, PROP, and SH. I never extract anything that is a Tar file or anything Odin can recognize when on PDA within Odin. Plus a lot of times I click on a link for a download off this site and it sends me to some watch-movies website. Not a actual download. Or I am just missing it.

Maybe it's a bad link to your stock file then. Perhaps someone can give proper file link to the stock firmware. Inside the zip it's basically a md5 file for firmware to flash. Sadly I don't have a proper yoi will have to find of the net.
