a family member just came back from china with a new Sensation XE w/beats.
the phone comes with ICS (4.0.3) but w/o google apps. ( no google play, cant sync with google account...)
Can i install Gapps on the phone w/o rooting it?

u could jus search on google "gapps.zip" appropriate for yo phone and flash it in recovery

actually once you install the app and open it ,it will ask you to insert your google acount
after that i think it will sync automatically
but use the link i provided.it is the latest version

You can flash the Rom to your phone using the ruu.exe and than pull it from there.

has anyone gotten the locations widget to work on t-mobile rooted stock rom?
Edit: I flashed again and the widget now shows up, but won't update. It'll show "updating" but then the phone will hot restart.
Can someone get the widgets to work? I really like the locations app and widgets. I don't have a problem with the stock rom it works smooth and flawless for me so I don't have a need to flash a different rom.

Hey, don't try my friend your p phone will brick.the device above 11w28 have a chance during unlocking boot loader.
There are lot of roms with fill features such as prime hd, ginger xperia,ginggerdx etc
But you have to unlock bootloader...its better to don't unlock it...you will cry...

dude.. I already cry for 3 week waiting my phone on SE service center...
now Im using stock 2.1 and it suck... can u give me a link of custom rom that is fully working..
of course there are....actually there are many but you have to find those that are for stock kernel...btw i havent unlock bootloader too

dude. thanks.. but it bugs on music controll on lockscreen... when I touch play button it not play music from sdcard but it open fm radio.. how to fix this???

I guess the button you are talking is on w8 I have x8 sorry I don't know what you can do. You can go to q and a at x8 subforum and ask.
Try to install another player maybe?
You can go to applications and find the radio app and you can clear data, if you press the button and says to pick an app pick the player...just an idea

Chrome for Android is designed only for ARMV7 and the HTC ChaCha has ARMV6. So no you won't find or install it.

This is the problem, OP download GooManager. Then download GAPPS and then flash it in recovery.

Are you using a custom launcher? Clear defaults of your launcher your using, press home and choose HTC Sense, let it load. You should get back lock screen shortcuts and you can revert back to your launcher that you might be using

Everything is stock , i looked the apps and search for HTC_Lockscreen and it says 0.00B maybe is because of that?

It could be that lol so you could factory reset and see if that fix it or if you have root then could replace the apks.

No that wont work I mean one for your phone so have a look for TrickDroid for the S3 and get v3.
