[Q] Alternative CM10.1 kernel? - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any alternative kernel for CM 10.1 on the p3110 other than 3.0.8-CM-gf818e15?
I'm having an issue getting it to be recognized as a USB device properly in Linux without returning an error in dmesg: usb 1-1.1: unable to get BOS descriptor
I know the adb and usb connection both worked fine in stock, so I'm curious if I can test other kernels and see if the CM kernel is the problem or not.
Thanks,
Brandon

[Q] Problem With Otg Cable On Cm10.

[Q]Xperia E (C1505) OTG kernel?

Hello,
is there kernel for this device with OTG support?
I am running this ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48837634#post48837634
On this device, both Dual and Single version kernels from this release are working, but i was not able to get OTG working.
(FXP CM10 sort of does not work because of missing GSM modem driver, but i did not tried if it have OTG support).
I tried OTG helper also with separate USB power and no luck, i also do not see any device detected in logcat or dmesg when i try to connect Flash or mouse.
Thanks.
No, unfortunately not everything is as beautiful as we'd like :highfive:

[Q] No USB connection in CM 11

I have an SCH-i535 running CM-11, M3-SNAPSHOT. My desktop is running Linux Mint 16 in one partition and Win 7 in another.
I cannot get the phone to show up when plugged into a USB hub. It isn't simply that MTP is not working, but that the USB connection doesn't even show up in dmesg. I have android debugging turned on and have tried to connect via adb in recovery also. In no situation have I been able to establish any sort of USB connection since changing to M3. Setting/toggling MTP under settings>>storage>>menu>>USB computer connection also fails.
I have also tried to connect from my Win 7 partition and nothing shows up at all.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than going back to 10.2?

I did not have an issue with the M7 snapshot. I have not yet tried for the M8.

[Q&A] Windows 7 drivers

Hi,
I'm using this CM 11 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2922500 but I have strange problem with my laptop. It periodically looses driver information for my device. I don't know how but when I re-installed my OS Windows 7 (32bit) it found the proper driver. Later I've got a message that my USB device is not recognized and can't connect to my device. Does anyone else have the same problem and do you know a fix? I've tried a lot and different driver versions but without success. Logcat doesn't show anything last time but I will try later or when I loose drivers again (it seems I cannot use USB again).
BTW I don't have this problem with my desktop PC which has always connected USB cable to it. Also everything works fine with CM 10.1, MIUI or Sense ROMs but they are based on lower Android versions.
P.S. I was trying to connect with another USB cable. I've found my cable that I used to install drivers and USB is working again. This is really strange behaviour

No USB, OTG or Tether

I installed lollipop on my D801 and hated it. Went back to KK with AICP and bricked it. Flashed CM11 and what I thought was the right Kernel and voila back into boot. Now everything I plug into doesn't recognize the phone, no USB mass storage and no ADB in either WINDOZE or Linux Mint. No OTG host service and for whatever reason my WiFi works but the hotspot doesn't broadcast anything. haven't tried the HDMI.
What the hell do I do now? I have tried installing the factory T-Mobile D801 Kernel several times. Can't go back to stock since no OTG in TWRP, can't get anything to recognize it in download mode......Are there more Kernels I can try to flash or am I barking up the wrong tree?
