[Q] Firmware 3.33 but no roms boot properly after installation. - HTC Sensation

Hi Guys, I've been using KGS Utility with much success up until the last stage (trying to load a ROM).
I have S-Off and firmware 3.33 yet whatever ROM I try to install it never boots (had a few infinite reboots, and a few stuck on the tMobile l oading screen, not it's stuck on the HTC white screen
I'm currently trying this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035591&highlight=cyanogen and have followed the instructions to format and wipe using 4ext. The phone still reliably boots into the bootloader using voldown+poweron.
Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? The searches I've done have all suggested double checking firmware # and make sure you're following the mod instructions (wipes, etc).

what does the botloader say ?
UNLOCKED or JUOPUNUTBEAR ?

Hi,
No.
The problem is that it just shows "Firmware 3.33"
It no longer says if you have a locked or unlocked bootloader.

I've tried twice now and it is getting suck while rebooting on the white HTC page. Do I need to properly wipe the 4Ext installation, as I've just been trying to install over.

Hi, tried 3.32 tonight, installed successfully (says revolution now instead of the number, as you said earlier) then did a cache clear + davik clear. Same exact issue. ROM installs successfully but on reboot it makes an odd windows noise (normally the beepboop, but this is like beep*flutter*boop) and gets stuck on the white HTC boot screen indefinitely.

I just noticed that your signature says the firmware doesn't need SuperCID, is it an issue if I put SuperCID on the phone first and then used that firmware?

[Q] New sensation owner neeeds help

Alright guys just got my sensation yesterday and already messed it up. I s-off and rooted, then I flashed virtuous ICS then I flashed the proper kernel for tmobile. I am now stuck on the white HTC screen. I can access hboot and cwm recovery but phone will not boot rom. I flahsed proper tmobile patch and still no go. I waited about 15mins after every flash. Am I screwed? What should I do?

This has always worked for me, no matter which ICS ROM:
1) Flash proper 3.32 firmware from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 T-Mobile is in there.
2) Superwipe
3) Wipe cache + dalvik
4) Flash ROM

Do I need a tmobile ruu and if so the link on these forums wont download. it says free downloads for this link are being used.
Even so, can I use an RUU even if my phone stays stuck on the splash screen?
And about the backup, will restoring a backup fix the kernel issue as well?

Well you should flash an extra thing in addition to the rom(and gaaps) if you are htc Dev unlocked...
If having 4EXT recovery then enable smart flash and flash the rom again
If any other recovery.. Then check for guide "flashing roms with SON " by asskickar in sensation general section and do extra #1 step from there
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
He said "s off HTC sensation."... Then it is not require to enable Smart flash manually .
May b this was due to bad download... , or due to not flashing additional files

[Q] HTC Sensation update problem

I have htc sensation vodaphone
My bootloader is
-revolutionary-
pyramid pvd ship s-off rl
hboot-1.17.1111
My system info
Android version 2.3.4
HTC sense version 3.0
software number 1.50.162.2
Whenever I try and he download update, ask me to install Software Update, he goes off and gets stuck in a triangle with an exclamation point. When I try through bootloader install from zip he stuck "error (status 7) instalation aborted". How do I update to the last version of software?

follow the instructions of this thread carefully

after that you have to flash from recovery an ics or jb rom in order to boot the device

because you are still on gingerbread firmware
that's why the ics rom doesn't boot
first upgrade your firmware to ics
then flash the rom from recovery

md5 sums if for checking the zip in order to avoid a bad download or corrupted zip file
boot to recovery
i think somewhere it has an option to check md5 sums
then check it with one from firmware's thread if it matches
that is important too as it has to do with firmware(and avoid bricking the device)
i cant figured how to check md5
My bootloader detail is
-revolutionary-
pyramid pvt ship s-off rl
hboot-1.17.1111
radio-10.14.9035.02_2
eMMC-boot
