[Q] New sensation owner neeeds help - HTC Sensation

Alright guys just got my sensation yesterday and already messed it up. I s-off and rooted, then I flashed virtuous ICS then I flashed the proper kernel for tmobile. I am now stuck on the white HTC screen. I can access hboot and cwm recovery but phone will not boot rom. I flahsed proper tmobile patch and still no go. I waited about 15mins after every flash. Am I screwed? What should I do?

This has always worked for me, no matter which ICS ROM:
1) Flash proper 3.32 firmware from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767 T-Mobile is in there.
2) Superwipe
3) Wipe cache + dalvik
4) Flash ROM
5) Reboot

Do I need a tmobile ruu and if so the link on these forums wont download. it says free downloads for this link are being used.
Even so, can I use an RUU even if my phone stays stuck on the splash screen?
And about the backup, will restoring a backup fix the kernel issue as well?

[Q] HTC Sensation 4G stuck. Won't boot. Bricked?

Hello,
I am having some trouble with my T-mobile Sensation 4G. I was trying to install a Rom and seemed to have failed. At this point it will not boot past the first white screen with the green HTC logo.
I can get it into fastboot and Clorkwork mod recovery. However, I am not really sure what to do.
I have tried superwipe and it fails. Bootloader screen is as follows:

If I need to provide more information just let me know. Any help to get it back up and running would be great. I really appreciate your time and help.
Thank you in advance.
Most likely the rom will not boot on your current firmware. What rom is installed?
Option 1 is to restore a backup since you can access recovery.
Option 2 is to put the correct firmware on your SD using a PC, reinsert and let your phone update.

I don't think any rom is installed. It never got that far.
I first tried to update using this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542192
However the update failed. After that the phone was just going into a reboot loop when I tried to start it up. I then tried to flash a new rom in the hopes it would fix whatever problem the first failure caused. I was following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
I was able to update the firmware from the linked page on that guide:
Firmware from 3.32.401.x & 3.32.401.10x RUU
I then tried to flash the Android Revolution HD 6.5.2 rom. It failed and when i tried to reboot it just hangs as described above. I tried to use superwipe and it also fails. I am sure at this point it is obvious I am lost.
Option 1 is not an option as I don't have a backup.
Option 2 may be an option, but I apparently don't know what the correct firmware is.....
Thanks again for the help.
I went back into fastboot and then recovery and tried to use superwipe, but that failed.
Option 1 is a no go because I do not have a backup.
Use this firmware instead.. it's worked well for me no matter which ICS rom I've installed..
Firmware from 3.24.401.1 & 3.25.401.101 RUU from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1412618
Don't get it confused with the one you've already tried. Then after you flash that version of the firmware, remove it from sdcard and flash a rom. It's worked for me as it should for you as well.. Hope this helped.. I'm also assuming that you've Super CID your device....
if this helped, slap the thanks button... thanks

I was not able to boot normally after installing this firmware, but it did allow me to complete the superwipe. That was failing beforehand. Once I was able to wipe the phone I was then able to install a rom. The phone is back up and running now. Thanks again for the help. I appreciate you guys taking the time.

I want to use the HyperSensation rom, if u need to know that to help me!
Thx for answers!
Did you wipe before installing the rom? If not this is what is causing your issue! In recovery you need to do the wipe.
Hope this helps! The thank button is there for a reason!

If you mean putting a ROM on the SD card, and flash it via 4ext, then yes. Thats the only way ive tried to flash roms. Might that be the reason for the loop?
Radio?
Shoudln't the hboot say something about radio?
mine doesn't, but it I remember that it did the first time i went in Hboot.
If that's the problem, how can i fix it?

First thing first do the whole first Step of this guide to S-OFF your Sensation. Do it very carefully and follow all steps!. Don't get bored to read.
Then follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21711154#post21711154
VERY VERY VERY CAREFULLY Find your CID and MID as the thread says (I recommend using the method 1. fastboot getvar cid
2. fastboot getvar mid). Then download the correct firmware from the same thread corresponding to your CID. The correct version is 3.32 if you want to flash ICS roms. Just find the correct one to download.
Then follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=966814&stc=1&d=1332793798
to install a custom recovery. There is a file called "Recovery flash guide - READ ME.txt". Do as it says EXACTLY .
Then just download whatever rom you want, place it on your sd and flash it using the Install zip from sd-card option located in the recovery (access it by pressing volume up+power when the phone is turned off)
This is a guide for a specific ROM (Android Revolution HD) but the procedure is similar for any ROM. just flash different zip

[Q] Firmware 3.33 but no roms boot properly after installation.

Hi Guys, I've been using KGS Utility with much success up until the last stage (trying to load a ROM).
I have S-Off and firmware 3.33 yet whatever ROM I try to install it never boots (had a few infinite reboots, and a few stuck on the tMobile l oading screen, not it's stuck on the HTC white screen
I'm currently trying this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035591&highlight=cyanogen and have followed the instructions to format and wipe using 4ext. The phone still reliably boots into the bootloader using voldown+poweron.
Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? The searches I've done have all suggested double checking firmware # and make sure you're following the mod instructions (wipes, etc).
what does the botloader say ?
UNLOCKED or JUOPUNUTBEAR ?

Hi, tried 3.32 tonight, installed successfully (says revolution now instead of the number, as you said earlier) then did a cache clear + davik clear. Same exact issue. ROM installs successfully but on reboot it makes an odd windows noise (normally the beepboop, but this is like beep*flutter*boop) and gets stuck on the white HTC boot screen indefinitely.

Sorry for English! :crying:
My sensation got bootloop at HTC Logo in white background.
I flashed 4EXT Recovery, and It works well in Recovery mode.
But I install any ROMs, It doesn't work properly, just bootloop
I do googling for finding stock ROM(RUU), I can't find Latest ICS ROM ;-( (It takes 7 hours)
Hboot screen says,
----
*** UNLOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
eMMC-boot

I went to htc service center, They said, "Our services center doesn't have stock firmware!"
Help me, plz T.T

Yeah, SmartFlash allows the boot image to flash correctly on S-ON devices.

Sorry, still htc bootloop ;-(
How Should I do?
It should work. Make sure it's enabled before flashing and that you do a full wipe.

Still bootloop.
or... My Mobile phone battery is low now(recovery says 2%), It may bootloop, right?
Shouldn't affect it. Try an RUU (charge to 40%+ first) and then try again.

What do I have to apply RUU version for my sensation?
Sorry for endless questions ;-(
It's hard to explain without going into detail. Essentially boot the phone into Fastboot mode, download the correct RUU and run the file. You can browse the forums for more help.
