[Q] G2x Wifi stuck turning on help please :(

my g2x wont connect to wifi at all :c i just got it second hand and whenever i try to turn on wifi it just gets stuck at turning on.. and then eventually it just says error. ive tried restarting. pulling the battery out. rooting and flashing several roms. (cm7,eaglesblood 4.0.4,) and even tried harsh kernel. still nothing. i would love if some one could give me any help i need wifi so my question is. how can i fix this problem????

yes i've unplugged and reset my router. still no luck

K, one variable out the door, assuming you have other devices connecting to it no problem? Have you tried to connect wirelessly to another router? List what the router and modem you are using as someone with this more experience might help with more specific details. The other thing it it might have messed up hardware...

This happened to me once...and I had to have my g2x replaced...one thing I would try is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17258229
...if that still doesn't work...I'm with mt3g...it's probably hardware related...
EDIT: When I saw Error it never showed me the MAC address...do you see yours?

no. no mac address :C

If you have a Nandroid backup from BEFORE the issue started...I would try that...otherwise try the link from my previous post...

no didnt work tried the nvflash and now im at stock. but still no wifi -sigh- how would isend it back? and is it expensive?

this is either hardware, or more likely you are in need of a full factory reset

whats a full factory reset 0.o?

well i got it to work after countless rebootings but... then i rebooted it to backup and when i started up again... no wifi and the backup has no wifi either =( nothings working for it

i have problem! i can intal any ics or JB rom , i can wipe all or not wipe when flashing rom, but i cant see pictures in google play store if im using wi-fi! waht is this problem? if im on 3g all works fine !

Hi,
Try to factory reset phone after you made a clean install with super wipe, if this doesn't helps try to wipe cashe and dalvik cashe from recovery.
Hope this helps to solve the problem

if i havnt done that yet it would be good! thats reason why i ask! im out of any noraml point what is wrong! i even go back to stock GB then upgraded to ics and when upgraded to ics problem started again! mby routers fault? i have totaly no idea , using tp-link router

you can always check by going to any cafe bar where is free wi-fi and test
but when you use mobile internet pictures are loading?

Yes when im on mobile all pictures loading, in facebook, and in youtube, but annoing not on wi-fi.

[Q] Help - HTC One-X ATT CleanRom 5 Wifi Issue

Hi,
I just flashed cleanrom 5 on to my htc one-x. Love it, but one thing is driving me nuts. I have a 5ghz and two 2.4ghz wireless networks in my house. After flashing the device will only connect to the 5ghz network. It can see the 2.4ghz networks, but will not connect to either of them. All the other devices in my home have no issue connecting to either of them. I've checked the advanced Wifi settings and network is set to Auto, so it should work.
Please help or I will be forced to go back to version 4.5

i cant connect to wifi
i can see them but i cant connect to it !!! i chose connect to wifi but nothing happen

Problem re write
and yes i have tried factory reset but didnt solve it !!

There are many things that could be wrong it's hard to define wich problem it is
i don't have a memopad so i don't know how it works is it litterly any network or if you go to let's say: the network of you neighbours?
it could be a hardware problem!
so what i would suggest is take it to ASUS and let them repair it (if it's still under warranty!)

I have tab 2 7.0 with cyanogenmod nightly installed it cannot detect my home wifi network it can detect my neighbours wifi. but not mine wifi please help i was first on last month nightly but as soon as i change it it cannot see my home wifi network.PLEASE HELP :crying::crying:

Are you using WEP Encryption in router ? . I am asking because android doesn't support WEP networks by default. Change Wi-fi encryption to WPA2-PSK to make it work.

no buddy i have wpa2 i was using it till wednesday .it was fine i tried every thing including resting my tab formatting it.restore my router frimware:crying::crying::crying:

restore your backup and enjoy your tablet again. you're really not missing anything with your "newer nightly" Or change ROMs'. Try a different one. Try one of Andi's Unofficial CM builds. No issues anywhere with those.

I'm still stuck on wondering if your WiFi is visible forget one of your other devices and try reconnecting

yes it is visible but i could not connect to but now it is invisible for my tab bro can you give me some troubleshotting:crying::crying::crying::crying:

Reset your router to factory defaults
That is my only guess.
Or install another room and see if that fixes it.

tried both first factory reset my router still does not work .then flashed stock rom tried STILL THE SAME
