my g2x wont connect to wifi at all :c i just got it second hand and whenever i try to turn on wifi it just gets stuck at turning on.. and then eventually it just says error. ive tried restarting. pulling the battery out. rooting and flashing several roms. (cm7,eaglesblood 4.0.4,) and even tried harsh kernel. still nothing. i would love if some one could give me any help i need wifi so my question is. how can i fix this problem????

yes i've unplugged and reset my router. still no luck
K, one variable out the door, assuming you have other devices connecting to it no problem? Have you tried to connect wirelessly to another router? List what the router and modem you are using as someone with this more experience might help with more specific details. The other thing it it might have messed up hardware...

This happened to me once...and I had to have my g2x replaced...one thing I would try is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17258229
...if that still doesn't work...I'm with mt3g...it's probably hardware related...
EDIT: When I saw Error it never showed me the MAC address...do you see yours?

If you have a Nandroid backup from BEFORE the issue started...I would try that...otherwise try the link from my previous post...

no didnt work tried the nvflash and now im at stock. but still no wifi -sigh- how would isend it back? and is it expensive?
this is either hardware, or more likely you are in need of a full factory reset

well i got it to work after countless rebootings but... then i rebooted it to backup and when i started up again... no wifi and the backup has no wifi either =( nothings working for it

Does no one know how to fix this? Im using Alien #4 and when using my laptop dock the Firefox will not open it just flashes. I have the 4 gig AT&T plan. I have tried different kernels I goggled it I found nothing I searched on here found nothing. Please help I like this rom there's got to be a way to fix it with out changing the rom. I am new at this but do have some basic knowledge.

I'm having the same problem. Haven't found a solution as yet.
Im gonna flash it back to stock with the .Sbf with Rsd to see if that fixes it. I will let you know. Some how my vibration keeps going of and on I think its a hardware issue because when I bump my phone it comes back on. So im doing a warranty exchange. I told the AT&T representative that my bootloader was unlocked she said it wouldn't mater lol I hope not.

I was running the previous version of Gobstopper. I flashed the new version and Firefox still wasn't working. I then flashed the deodexed app and framework and did a factory reset. Now mine seems to be working well.

i'm using the stock
Flashing the 2.3 .sbf using Rds works but you will have to Root and kinda unlock again. Well it worked for me.

I just acquired a t769 , in pristine condition, alas I have no connectivity whatsoever. No wifi , no GSM, nothing. Tried reflashing via Odin , flashing new modem via CWM... nothing .
I had this issue once. Everything randomly started working again next morning.

I think I figured out what is wrong . Whoever had the phone before must have tried to modify settings in engineering mode , because I think the baseband processor is stuck in a test mode..... I just have to figure out how to reset it . Does anybody have any ideas ?

Thanks but I've tried all of them even via command line . Most of the menus don't even appear , not even band selection or test modes, I tried another Blaze and the codes work as they should.
the only thing i can do on this pos, is get on wifi, no signal invalid sim, i just want to be able to use this thing... have had it a couple months and cant get it to work, searched days and nights idk if i am just doing it wrong? can someone plz give me a hand
You seriously need to provide some more info. What did you do before it stopped working? What Rom and kernel are you using? What have you already done to fix it? Have you tried a factory reset? Have you removed the SIM and sd card and reinstalled them?
It's really hard to help with no real information

I had the same thing happen and a new SIM fixed the problem.
OK so what happened was I had the latest CM10 build installed and wanted to try the paranoid android rom out and I flashed my device with the 2.50 build. I soft bricked it. I could still go into recovery but the device wouldnt load into paranoid android. I had an emergency so I had to leave the device the way it was in a bootloop state I came back the device was off. Obviously It ran out of juice. And now when I try to charge it i don't get any response...... could this be a hard brick?? ??
please guys any help would bbe greatly appreciated!

Happened to once with a different model. Never had it fixed, as suggested by a technician, go to someone who has a JTAG. Same with what I was thinking, but I never bothered to had it fixed.

Well if I'm not mistaken I don't think there is jtag for our devices. well I fixed it now thank god! I took apart another p6200 and swapped out the batteries and as soon as I swapped them the one I thought was bricked booted up! I flashed the stock rom then rootedbit ahandball that now its working great! I guess it doesn't charge whenbits in a boot loop or something? Thanks man I really appreciate ur help

I just had this problem too and couldn't find any answers about what can I do to solve it...
I was trying to flash ICS ROM over Odin (I hate it), and it always stucked on the process. When I tried to reboot, it did just not woke up again!
What may have happened? Does someone knows what to do now?
I really don't know what to tell you... for me swapping out batteries fixed it but it was a real pain to do so. You could try keeping it plugged into the charger for a while and ssee if the screen powers on. If it does just put your tab in download mode and flash from Odin. Maybe u had a llow charge when you tried flashing stock?

My wifi start turning on and stay there without scan...tried different wifi fix apps without luck and also made any kind of wipe including a rom cleaner kernel cleaner..etc Installed the stock rom and same thing..Going crazy so hope somebody have an idea of what is going on. Will appreciate any help.

Um.. have you checked your MAC address, it is one thing which happened to me -my MAC address disappeared, and i couldn't connect to my wifi- check this- if not this probem- i have some more tricks up my sleeve
So this is the problem???
Sadly no...ordered the wifi hardware to see if that solve my problem.

You may try to go to service center of the respected device i think for sure it will help
try stock rom, try stock kernel/rom
First and foremost
WIFI MAC is UNAVAILABLE unless radio is turned on... which brings me to another question...
What means *you can't turn wifi on*? There is no wifi setting, setting is stuck at off, setting tries to turn on but is never set as on, setting says it is on but you can't find networks?
Beware of service centers, they are evil...
It try to turn on but then switch back to off by itself.

After tried different roms, kernels and lot of stuff...fixed it removing the damaged backup battery and cleaning the area with alcohol as they explain in the link before.
