I am currently running Taste Of Beans rom v3.5 which I like very much. I saw some references to v4 somewhere. I can not find any pointers to Taste Of Beans anywhere in the Galaxy S3 Verizon forum. Has the rom been renamed? Does anyone know where the forum section for the Taste Of Beans rom is located? I got the original rom zip file through GalaxyS3Root. Max is so busy that my question on where to go to get a newer version of Taste Of Beans went unaswered.

I'm fairly certain they are referring to a different rom. It was called "Taste of Beans" and isn't the one you're referring to by Beanstown.

OP, do you happen to remember what the rom dev's name was? Check Settings/About Phone/Build Number and see if the dev name is there.

correct, i believe that was the ROM remf41 (or soemthing similiar) was developing based on VZW leaks and sprint leaks.

Yea I'm just seeing this now. I searched the Executioner thread for "taste of beans" and it definitely was renamed since there were a lot of hits for it.

Still hasn't been 100% confirmed it's ICS yet. Nobody has finished (that has posted).
And the fact T-Mobile is dropping theirs honestly would have zero effect on ours. It's all up to AT&T and their bloatware adding department. Besides, any drop at this point is very unlikely to be any different than LE2, so it's really not that exciting until opensource gets updated. At that time it will become "RELEASE THE KRAKEN!" (or at least the kernels! lol)
Why have such a hard on for stock ICS? Whose gonna stay stock anyways?

Our ics roms are built from leaks or ports which is why we have all of the bugs we do. UCLE2 is more stable than the first two, but we won't have perfectly stable roms until our mods have an official base to build from...

im making a stock rom with a bunch removed and added Functions but i figured id also upload a stock rom deodexed and zipaligned so people can have there fun with theming etc. while we wait to get aosp

i will update this when i fix the 2 apks, right now everything works 100% with the exception of backup assistant
Bugs:
-SecMMS.apk was bugging out when deodex and zipaligned so i removed it and added cm9 mms(messaging)
-vmmhux.apk could not be deodexed so i removed it (part of vzw Bloat)
additional download for the removed apks untouched both will have the odex and apk, incase someone can fix them

So as this is stock rom it will belong in regular dev section rather than original one.

Wtf is the point of original s3 development ans the non original. Honestly its all dev. Is the non original for the dev edition coming out? Its pointless to have 2 threads for aosp and stock.. its still the same phone. Honestly there ahould be a "dev edition" vzw thread if that phone proves to be different and not help this one. People already have a ***** of a time not searching and this will add more confusion.

the organization of the sgs3 threads is horrible.... not easy since verizon's phone is pretty different, and the fact that theres a dozen sections. I almost want to suggest different sections for carriers but not sure that would be an improvement... tough decision really.
anyways back on topic...

I have to agree. The SGS3 forum seems fragmented enough with four carriers in development, but there is genuine need for four carriers in development because there are four different radios. Having both a regular and diet development for each carrier is fragmenting things even more. I know I would rather check threads in four fora than eight.
If one really wanted to separate original development from non-original, a simple [ORIGINAL] tag should do it just fine. But in reality, regardless of how you separate the two, there will always be folks wondering why they can't get [ORIGINAL] by kanging someone else's ROM.

Cyanogen will likely get something similar shorty with many devices being 4.7+ new features will start to rise.
It's rumored for 4.1.2 not 4.2.1 just fyi. And if so that means VzW would send it out to us in 2014 lol.

there are many ROMS alraedy running 4.1.2, check out the development section.
I thought multi window was a touchwiz feature, not an android feature.
Look out for the next jellywiz release. I thought I read he was trying to implement this feature to his ROM.
OK so I came across a thread that said you would be able to run T-Mobile gs2 roms on skyrockets and I wanted to test it because I love the roms on the T-Mobile gs2. I grabbed the conversation file that the thread provided and I got the T-Mobile gs2 I wanted and began the process. I backed up my current rom and then wiped every thing. I flashed the rom and then the conversion file like it said. I rebooted the phone and it just sat at the Samsung boot screen. I thought it was normal so I left it there for a while and came back and it was still stuck there. Can the skyrocket really run T-Mobile gs2 roms? Did I do anything wrong in my process? I was able to restore to my previous rom so I'm not freaking out, but I really want to run the rom I found. Is there anyone that can help me? Please and thanks in advance.

Simple answer, you are flashing a TW based conversion kit to an AOKp based rom. Just use an AOSP, CM10 and alike kernel to that rom and you should be good.
