AT&T Skyrocket Bricked - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I installed the liquid smooth rom on my Skyrocket and it bricked it. I downloaded the rom from here on XDA. So I found a company that does Jtag repair. MobileTechVideos.com these guys know there stuff. It was a fast turn around to get my phone up and going again. I would highly recommend MobileTechVideos.com for all bricked phones...Give them a try and you will be very happy you did.

i brick my skyrocket

i think i bricked my skyrocket after i flashed a ics rom that i got it from other web site. i cannot turn on my phone at all . I cannot go to recovery mode and even the downloading mode. Is my phone completely dead? is there a way i can unbrick it?
thanks
What rom exactly did you flash?
And try a Jig. If that doesnt work them Jtag is your solution
What rom did u use?? Cause some roms from the web have prob with them. Stick with xda for roms
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
does anyone know where i can buy a jig?
http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-download-mode-jig/
People would be better able to help if you answered their question (what rom did you flash?)
I suspect that "other web site" in the op means a rom for a different device. If you flashed a rom for a different device you are hard bricked and a jig won't save it. A jtag service likely will fix it. These guys have a good reputation from everything I've heard: http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-skyrocket-jtag-brick-repair/

Is it irony to brick your phone with a rom called phonebricker? But to the OP take out the battery and plug into computer and open odin hold power and volume and pray you get into download mode if not then you need a jtag or hope you have insurance.

The title is ROMs for skyrocket and they have i777 and i9100 ROMs. That site is incredibly misleading. Though the link to phone Bricker leads to an i777 thread. Either way enjoy your brick.

Oh bitter sweet irony. A rom named PhoneBricker bricked his phone... that's gold... pure gold.
Anyways...your phone is broken. The only way to fix is with a jtag service.

Flashed i777 kernel to i727

And now my Galaxy S2 i727 won't turn on or boot into download mode. I was told getting a jig may fix it but if my phone won't turn on would I be able to use a jig?
Is there any way to make my phone functional again or am I out of luck?
well that was stupid lol. sorry bud you might be able to jtag it but idk good luck
Yeah, you're hard-bricked. A jig would almost certainly be a waste of time and money. Send it to the jtag guy for $50 or buy a new one, maybe try to warranty it out through Sammy if you want to risk them finding out that you'd been flashing and broken the warranty.
Not to rub salt in the wound or anything, but had you paid close attention and read before flashing, you'd have noticed that you were about to flash an SGS2 kernel onto a SR, and riding full-speed on the train to Bricksville.

the 1st link in my sig has a link for brick repair, but first try to get it fixed under warranty, just say that it wont turn on anymore and act dumb about flashing...which is not to far from the truth

Not to be an advocate of noobs... i was kinda confused at first too. BUT never took rooting and flashing as a joke so I read and read... took me a week or so before rooting (already reading up on skyrocket and S2 prior to purchase though) and more than 6 months of reading before flashing Embryo 6.
Rooting is the new cool aid... wish some people will quit trying to be cool and really understand what they are doing. Most noobs just wants to brag that they have a custom rom as though it elevates their standing in life. Geeez.

I have hard bricked a phone before (my wife's Note) and got it back from them in less than a week. One of the new criteria I have for when I buy a new phone is that mobiletechvideo has a jtag service for it already.
should i root, again since i fcked my first phone
my Galaxy S2 is still bricked but i got the AT&T SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 I747 on 4.1.1 instead cost $$300 on ebay
the results came better than i expected by gettin myself a new smartphone but comin back here on XDA reminds me of how i completely turned my sphone into a paper-weight by just installing a new ROM/ROOTIN
should i go back to the ROOTIN wagon? iknow the risks and goods that comes with it but android stock w/touchwiz is not that bad

It's really easy, if you find that you need features you can only use when rooted/on a custom rom then go ahead.
If you don't find yourself thinking "that custom feature would be of some real use now" then there's no reason to "go back to the ROOTIN wagon"..
Finally, some friendly advice , if you intend to start modding your phone please read the goddamn instructions this time around. :highfive:
I've had 3 samungs and 1 sony, and never once did I not read the bloody instrufuctions, and you know what?
Never did I soft or hard brick any of them, thanks to God's gift of literacy. :victory:
