First of all...note 3 is compatible.with fiio e 17 alpen. The output is from usb port with a standard micro otg usb cable.
Second:
The sound in headphones is very clean comparable with s4 or even better.
I'm looking forward for the full review from gsmarena to see the results of audio test but for my ears it's at least even or even better than S4 and a lot better than Xperia Z Ultra.
I own snapdragon version of note 3. My headphones are senn momentum black. The note can,t drive those headphones at full potential but the sound is loud enough for a " normal" person. I like the sound louder, but I could live with the power of the N3 without external amplifier.
Sent from my C6802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I hope it does because I can't find it on GSMArena's spec sheet.
Yes,it will. LDAC is supported from Z2(i think).
Actually all the flagship phones after Z3+ support LDAC.
Enhanced Bluetooth streaming
Enjoy near Hi-Res sound with wireless headphones or speakers
If you’re connecting to wireless speakers or headphones, LDAC ensures you don’t lose a drop of sound quality. It transfers three times more audio data than normal Bluetooth, so every note is crystal-clear.
Will the ringtones be louder in the new Xperia XZ premium? Any first hand knowledge? I hate the low ringtones in all prior models.
Hello everyone
I had Sony headphones "mdr-nc31em" that have 5 poles "TRRRS" they worked great with Sony Xperia x with noise canceling when I switch to Google pixel headphones won't work there's sound out but not clear.
If there's any adapter that will make them work on pixel lemme know please
Thanks

Hi all,
I just bought the Google Pixel 6a, as I coudn't resist the offer of a free Pixel buds with the phone. So... Waiting for my new phone, specially because I wanted a better camera phone as the Xperia 10 II is getting older and camera is terrible, and I don't see a very good improvement with the Xperia 10 IV and it has a very high price tag compared to the Pixel 6a that is cheaper.
I will miss the micro sd card slot, the headphone jack and notification led, but I will keep my Xperia as Hi-Res music player.

Get yourself a good dongle DAC and the headphone jack becomes obsolete. There are lots out there for under $50 that sound fantastic.

I was considering buy one, but I was reading that the Pixel 6 series has issues with some DACs, I don't know if still there some issues or was solved by Google.
Headphones jack will never be obsolete, it just changed the consumer target, they are more for audiophiles.

Yep, definite audiophile here and Ive had zero issues using one on the this phone or my 3a. Using one produces FAR better and more powerful sound vs the headphone jack. I dont ever see myself not using wired headphones for serious listening.
