Can you link that thread? It probably tells you how to root before flashing the custom ROM, in which case you can just root (flash insecure kernel?) and flash custom recovery if you want.

Archos arnova 10b g3 HELP!!!!!

Im not sure if i should be posting this here but i couldn't find a similar thread....
My son has a archos arnova 10b g3 tab which i rooted and installed Jellybean 4.1.2, The reason i rooted it was due to apps not being saved on the external SD card, So i rooted it and it was working fine the only issue was for it to be switched on it had to be connected via the power cable, everything was going well for about 2 week but this morning my son has went to switch it on and it has just stuck on the boot u screen with the white Archos logo although its connected with the power cable still. Ive tried resting many times but this does not help, ive left it for over 1 hour but still shows the archos screen just!!! i cant think of what else to try?
Any suggestion would be much appreciated Thanks
P.S when trying to boot into recovey rmode im getting an Android with his front open and a exclamation mark!!

I'm new to this forum and i already noticed you guys preverlablie have no noobs in this threat, but i dont know where to put my question and i realy need some experts help ho knows where he's talking about, i thought i did. But apperentlie not. And my english sucks its not my native language. Im from Holland.
And this is the part where you guys can laugh your asses of. The situation : I have a LG P990 mobile and it was working slow as hell with the stock ROM installed, So i dowloaded the Domination ROM for the LG P990, rooted my phone and installed Clockwork rebooted my phone did a backup and flashed the ROM and flashed Gapps. The ROM looks nice but is a bit unstable when i go to internet the screen flashes and installing apps is a bit tricky, my camera works but asks to insert a SDcard. Same thing if i go to Gallery. So i decided to go back to my stock ROM and look for another one ho works better. And this is when the **** hits the fan :crying: When i want to restore my backup using Clockwork it says it cant find no backup so thats problem nummero uno, for seconds ( because my phone likes to F*** with me ) I thougt to be a smart guy and just download a stock ROM and put it on my phone and flash that ROM but here's the catch : My PC wont let me connect with the phone or the otherway around. Its all the same.... Can someone help me please to fix my phone because this sucks big ones.

THIS IS A GUIDE FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING TO ROOT AND INSTALL CWM ON THEIR LAVA E-TAB XTRON TABLET'S
Since there was no mention of any successful guys who had done that as this gorgeous and wonderful TAB is relatively a new kid on the block, I had to undertake some risks and had to suffer a hard brick on way, by choosing a wrong parameter file while flashing using rkbatch tools. Luckily my Tab is under guarantee and so the service centre unknowingly gave me a reprieve by re-flashing the stock ROM (I must be the first one to do so). Its been only 5 days since I got it for my son, and I was determined to root and install CWM on it. There has been no support from anyone and surprisingly LAVA does not provide stock firmware (update.img) files for any of their Tab's. Finally my fried Randy from freaktab.com has cooked ROM's for both the XTRON and XTRON+
The LAVA E-Tab XTRON/XTRON+ is basically an RK 3066 chip based Tab which is almost or fully identical to the Z70
CUSTOM ROM'S FOR X-TRON & XTRON+

I bought this Tab recently. But I cant find drivers for this tab.
I tried connecting the Tab to my laptop with USB debugging on, but the windows doesnt install the drivers automatically.
It searches but fails to identify f the drivers for the device.
Can somebody you help me out with the drivers please...

Here are all the drivers you need... Anyone please come up with a STOCK update.img or ROM....? Then I can make custom ROMs for our TAB.

The drivers you have provided didnt work for me.
Windows is not recognizing the drivers from the folder you have provided.
Can you please point me out any other way to do this?
X-Tron + custom ROM available!
I flashed an X-tron + custom 4.2.2 ROM on my X-tron and it boots and is blazingly fast! The only issues are the following.

2) No Sound
3) Battery indicator not correct
If someone can give a helping hand with suggestions we could have fully working 4.2.2 on X-tron. LAVA guys are terrible and they will never provide us with official 4.2.2 for the X-tron. Guys, 4.2.2 is lighting fast...Any help??

Can you please provide CWM Recovery for XTRON and the way to flash it?

Try cm 10.1 on the xtron tab...no bugs no wake-locks and an amazing battery standby time...just lost 6% in the last 8 hours in standby......good aint it??
Only pblm i found was the camera is inverted which is a kernel bug. and some visual artrifacts on rotating....but it aint a big deal breaker since u get amazing battery backup
Can Anybody help me out with a stock version of this ROM... UNTOUCHED... I need to go to the LAVA center for some issue....

So i bought this tablet at bestbuy and got a 32GB SD card thinking i can download a ton of apps like battlefield commander and stuff which is like almost 1GB and the tablet is only 8BG. I figured i could just go ahead and put all my apps on my sd card but nope, im running 4.4.2(KitKat) and sd card **** is disabled and im unable to find any software that will let me root my tablet. Ive tried using towelroot and that didnt work and then i tried using Kingo Android Root and that just keeps restarting my tablet. So i have been unable to root my tablet with these 2, does anyone know how to root this damn tablet ? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I tired to follow the first link and kingo seemed to be working but it kept rebooting my device and installed the exploit 2 apps or whatever they are and then failed after like 10 minutes, i tried it 3 times. As for the second link it looks more advanced than my capabilities and looks like it hasn't been perfected?.

I have 2 Iconia one 10(b3-a30) and for some reason after weeks and months of waiting and trying KingRoot PC and Kingo countless times including the most recent updates... I'm entirely clueless has to what's wrong... They are both up to date one of which is really close to OEM "bloated and mostly vanilla" and mine being as minimalistic as i could without loss of stability.
Would a hard reset and removing my sdcard try again with KingRoot do it? I just don't want to jump off the bridge just to end up where I am now....
I m open to ANY solution that can apply to my case... Please inquire for more information if necessary

I too have a iconia b3 a30 and i have tried lots of apps and pc programs for rooting.
Unfortunately i have not found a single one that successfully roots the tablet.

Hi there, 10moths ago Vangreen (user of this forum) said he's trying to do cm but got stuck in a bootloop and progress ended there, and i really want a cm for f70, and i got this phone free of use now. Can anyone give me some links for newbies in cm development? i know there are plentys of them, but really dont know where to start. a shortcut by someone who used to building roms would be nice.
