Hey All, this may sound like a silly question but does anyone know what the difference is between the phones with just the HTC, Beats and ATT logo on the back and the phones that have the same but then what appears to be a grey area with the IMEI, serial and product numbers between the beats and ATT logo?
I need to replace my 8GB with a 16GB unlocked and my searches on ebay are showing ones like this.
Cheers.

There is quite a lot of sites for this, and I was thinking of trading in my HTC Sensation on http://www.moneyforyourphone.com/home/
Do most of these sites not accept phones that have been softmodded for example S-OFF and custom rom added? Will I have to "un-jailbreak" my phone to trade it in on a site like this?
Thanks.

I don't know if that would be a problem - certainly Cash Converters seem to list phones which have been 'unlocked'.
It might be worth your while getting a quote from a couple of those sites and then listing your phone on the "to Sell" forum here - you might get more interest in an already unlocked phone here.
Do you think a HTC Sensation would sell quickly here?
I've compared a lot of sites and it's between £115 and £148 for bank transfer or cheque, surely selling it would fetch more.
I just don't know how a slightly scratch on the screen (hard to see a part from bright white screens) and how a missing volume button (just needs new case) would effect the value? I'd probs just wipe it and stick a fresh install or Virtuous Inquisition on it. Don't know if the phone is locked to provider see I'm on Talk Mobile but it seems "unbranded" a part from HTC logo.
If you got the phone from Carphonewarehouse then it should be fully unlocked as they only ever supply unbranded devices.
The slight scratch probably wouldn't be too much of a problem, but I would be tempted to fix the case if I were you.
With that fixed you could probably put it on for about £160 - without it maybe £130.
I assume that the prices you've got are for a good condition one - they won't accept it with a button missing.
Have a look on ebay - then remember the 10% (I think) selling fee and those prices should be about right. Even if you don't sell it here, it may be worth putting the feelers out to see how much interest there is - and it will depend on whether it's the XE or XL and whether you've got the box, accessories etc of course.
It's a standard HTC Sensation (not 4G), it's got box, charger, orig battery, Anker 1900mah battery, 16GB SD Card (class 1).
S-OFF & Virtous Inquisition ICS.
Anywhere I can post an enquiry on this forum to get opinions on how much it may be worth?
Have a look on the "Wanting to Sell" forum.
I got a Verizon HTC One by auction from ebay and the seller claimed it is brand new.Everything looks like it is new but there is a defect on the screen.Looks like a purple blemish and it doesn't seem like a dead pixel or something since I can see the defect even when the phone is powered off.The seller said he got it from craigslist and I contact Verizon and HTC and looks like they only take care of the phones sold by them.Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Interesting, it could be the digitzer which is giving the purple colour. Could you perhaps post a picture of your HTC one (showing the screen)
Also I found an article that *may* be related to your problem.. Link

As the picture shown. It's more obvious when you look at the screen.I guess it should some kind of manufacturing defect since I can see a spot even when the screen is off.It should have nothing to do with the camera I guess. Thanks for the information though
I bought one of the Chinese phones that you can get for like £150 online. It's a great phone but the phone is a re-brand. It's supposedly a Star n9599 but the phone itself doesn't say Star on it or any branding. It just says 'Android' on the back. How can I find out the actual branded phone and get support for it? Here's the specs and stuff:

is it not written on the settings?
My Nexus screen crashed when I sadly droped it to the ground.
So, i'll buy a new replacement screen and change myself.
I just looked at ebay and it has lots of sellers of OEM LG Original Screen replacements, but they all send from China.
Is that right? I mean, it will really be original parts from LG?
Can I trust them?
Also, my Nexus 5 is the white version, but I saw I can change the battery cover, and i thinking of buying a new one in Red color.
Should I be worried about changing the back cover? Some compability problem between versions?
I've bought plenty of phone stuff from China and most of it is legit... in fact, even the stuff sold as not from China probably still came from China originally. As for the cover, there is no difference other than colour so you will be fine if you want to change to red
hello,
i have here a lumia 1020 froom at&t. it has a cracked screen.
i wanted to ask, if i can just buy an digitizer screen from ebay and replace it, because i know there are some differences between the us at&t model and the international one (as i know its only about the frequencies gsm, lte etc). should there be a problem with a possible other pin assignment for the display connectors ?
second i wanted to ask if i can flash an international debranded windows phone version over the at&t firmware (after the phone has been sim unlocked)
I cracked the screen of my 1020 twice, both times I bought a screen at amazon, different sellers. The first time the screen was perfect 100%, the second time the screen that I received was a bit faulty, I had a gab between the body of the phone and the screen and you could see light coming out from the side of the phone, annoying. eventually the corner of the screen broke again, I 'm not changing it again, the screen for this phone is too expensive and already bought two, my next screen will come with the phone that replaces 1020. maybe 1030 or whatever it is. Just try to get it from a good seller that could relace if it comes faulty.
the same problem. trying to deattach the glass and keep digitizer. if will be successful will publish the guide.
Just buy display assembly from good seller. The rest is simple.
I tried to separate the glass from digitizer and broke the LCD in the process. Later had to buy the whole display assembly.
Only concern was, you get glass for less than a dollar, but display assembly costs 100+ dollars.

Hello todarkness, if you buy a screen without frame, both at&t and international models are interchangeable, otherwise, you'll have to buy the at&t version if you need the frame as well.
