[Q] Re-flash OTA update? - HTC One S

As I've found lots of bugs in the OTA Jelly Bean update, HTC recommended me to send my phone to the service center.
I can't be without my phone and God knows what they'll do over there, so my question is:
Is it possible to re-install the OTA update?
No Root, no unlocked bootloader, purely stock.

Can I update through stock rom now I am rooted

Hello, I am running the stock ROM on the HTC Sensation XE.
I have rooted, but there is an update available, can I update through the system update that HTC put on the ROM? If I do could I brick/loose ROM.
PS. I am unlocked and S-ON.
If you are running GB now and updating to ICS possibly.
I was running the stock TMO US GB (S-off and rooted) and tried the official OTA update to ICS. The update applied, but the bootloader got stuck after the reboot. Had to reflash the stock TMO US 1.50 RUU to a non-rooted state, then I was able to successfully apply the HTC update of ICS.
Have RUU of the rom you have now to get back in case your update doesn't work out as planned.
I am on ICS already. Version 4.03.
There is a software update available, I want to know if I can do this without the phone ****ing up basically.
Just clicked on details and seen that it's a settings update. Just for settings only. Anyway, have decided to give it a go, lets see how it goes.

[Q] A NOOB who needs upgrade help

I have a verizon samsung s3 thats rooted and unlocked. For severel weeks i have been prompted to upgrade my device but every time i try it starts then stops about a quarter way thru and shows a dead android guy laying on his back. My phone restarts just fine with the old software still installed. I have looked for the officail jelly bean 4.1.1 rom so i can install it. But cant find it. Only can find custom. Can anyone point me to a official rom download or tell me how i can get my phone to just do it thru the update on my phone. Why is my phone having problems updating anyway. Im guessing it because of it being rooted or unlocked. Thank you for the help!!!! MY PHONE INFO!!!!! SCH-I535 ANDROID VERSION 4.0.4
There is no official Jelly Bean ROM yet. The update it just a different modem and some security updates. I would just flash a custom recovery and install a JB ROM.

[Q] How do OTA updates affect root users?

Hello,
How does the upcoming OTA update (4.3) affect people with unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs? I am new to this and this will be my first OTA update since rooting/unlocking.
Will I even get a notification requesting to update, or will it force me to update? And which should I choose? Will I have to re-root the phone after the update? Or can I even get the OTA update since it is rooted?
Sorry, I have a ton of questions, so if someone can just explain what is going to happen and what our choices are that would be great!
Thanks in advance!!!

I'll try to answer a few
...
It seems like the ota is delayed but who knows..
If you want to stay unlocked and rooted don't take the ota until a respected developer says otherwise.
You may or may not get a notification depending on your ROM or other system tweaks. If you are rooted only, you provably will.

The OTA will note affect you at all, you will not even be prompted for it due to running a custom ROM.
If your running a stock rom and have only rooted/unlocked, an OTA will break root and relock your bootloader.
If your running a stock rom/unlocked/and a custom recovery, you'll get prompted for the OTA, but it will not install, it will fail due to the custom recovery (twrp/cwm/etc).
You'll need to Odin to stock to receive an official OTA, but remember there is always a risk of an OTA breaking root permanently....
My advice is to stay custom, and flash a rooted custom stock rom that will surely be appearing here within a day or two of the OTA... But Verizon will probably not release 4.3 to us, and if they do it'll be at least 4 months...

How can I to update to the latest ota softare?

I have an HTC One M8 on Tmobile. I rooted it about a week ago not knowing the lollipop update would come out today. Now when i try to install the update it obviously fails. How can i update with the ota software. I don't care if i lose root in the process, I just want to install the update.
Should be able to unroot with super user and then take the ota, better yet would be to flash a custom rom.

NON-ROOT 100% STOCK Lollipop? Does it exist?

I want to sell my phone, a D850, that I've had for just under a year. I've unlocked it so it will work outside of AT&T. The question now is: can I unroot back to stock but with Lollipop instead of KitKat? Alternatively, can I update my G3 with an OTA update.zip file after going back to KitKat? Is there any way to do this manually without having to rely on the actual OTA update coming down (because my phone for some reason just absolutely refuses to update by itself)?
Any help would be appreciated.
