Desire S how to S-OFF and Root ?!?

Hello!
I want to root my Desire S with official rom 2.3.5
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.00.0002
Radio - 3822.10.08.04_M
Aug 22 2011
My question - any solution for rooting and S-OFF for my Desire? I tray everething (UnlockRoot, SuperOneClick...), but no results Please help...

i think you must be s-off with revolutionary before root

to use revolutionary, you'll have to downgrade your hboot.

But I think you can get around that by using the HTC Dev website to s-off. I've never used HTC dev before so maybe someone else can shed some light on that

Yes as I mentioned before with htcdev but I'm not sure on how it works. Maybe someone else can help with that

I used manuals from HTC DEV site to unlock bootloader. After successful unlocking I used this instructions

Now, I have rooted my Desire S!!! But... ALL THINGS from my phone is deleted
My HBOOT is still 2.00.0002
Any solution to change S-ON to S-OFF?

I don't think its necessary to have s-off but when you flash a rom, you'll have to flash the boot.img as well.
I'm not sure why you lost everything though

Htcdev can unlock your bootloader but it won't s off.
To s off you'd need to downgrade hboot n use revolutionary.
Read up on the forum your question has been answered many many times

sadsac is correct, htcdev can only unlock your bootloader, nothing more. But you will need for other steps to get mobile s-off and root.
In my case, I also had got HBOOT 2.00.0002 and revolutionary do not like it, so i had to downgrade:

A few days ago TW version 1.77.709.104 update
Can not use the revolutionary-0.4pre4 for S / OFF
Screen that appears Failed to get root
Now there are ways to make S / OFF do??

Its the same problem I m facing with ROM v1.53.720.3.
I used Super tool and followed procedures on HTCdev to unlock bootloader which resulted it partial unlock and still S-ON any help ?

Revolutionary is upto 1.18 ....... flash back to official RUU with hboot 1.17/1.18, after completion ... u'll able to S-off with the procedure given in the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300

Sensation XE- how to root? Is it the same as the sensation

Hi just got the Sensation XE, it's fantastic.

Revolutionary doesn't support the HBOOT I am using?

Hello there! To root your Sensation XE you must first unlock the bootloader via HTCDev, after that to get S-off use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614617 when you've done this you can install any custom ROM you like

Great thanks. For the unlocking via HTCdev, do I use the 'sensation' or 'all other phones'
(I am using the sensation xe does this vary?)

You use 'Sensation' as device and just follow the instructions given

[Q] downgrade from hboot 1.29 to 1.18?

Hey everyone,
I have a Htc Sensation XE, with ICS (original rom) and i want to s off and root it, but the hboot is a 1.29 so the revolutionary way does not work, i know that there is a new way, the Juopunutbear one, but its seems a little hard, and to be honest i'm afraid to brick my phone, so can i just downgrade the phone ? flash any GB stock rom and use the revolutionary way to s off and root it ? if yes, how i'll do it ?

i think if you downgrade your hboot version you will brick your device
instead of juopunutbear method you can do htcdev unlock method to unlock the bootloader and then root the device

and if a flash a RUU rom, a GB one, and then do the s off and root thing with the best method i know, the revolutionary one ^^

i don't know if you can do that when you are in completely stock situation
wait for someone else to confirm it
if yes then you can do that procedure

You can't flash gb ruu, if you aren't s-off, or if you don't have supercid. Try the juopuntuBeats, is very easy and no problem. If you try it 4-5 times before running the program you can do it very fast.
EDIT: you can't brick your phone, if you do all the things that is required!!! First of all unlock the bootloader, with the htc WEB SITE and then install a recovery with the sensation toolkit and then install ROOT. Finish if you want to s-off you have to do the juopuntubear if no, you can flash rom with s-on but only with 4ext recovery

Try the juopunutbear method without htcdev unlock so you won't break your warranty! If you follow the instructions well, nothing will happen to your phone and it's not as tricky as you think

Nothin will happen, just S-OFF. Don't worry it works fine, when i do it first time i got success on the 4th try, now i can catch timing on the first attempt...so like other things it just depends on practice..

As far as i know, sensation and sensation xe have got the same bootloader (pyramid), i myself have tried to install RUUs for sensation on my xe n all have been successful so far as i remember.
Now, canchu clarify a lil bit more?
U've got problem installin it or jus searchin to find it?

i manage to get into cwm recovery and i flash cm9+gapp when reboot phone it boot up at the same logo...
can i just find any ruu and run it??
