[Q] Tablet Touch Sensitivity - General Questions and Answers

Has anyone seen the SGS touch screen booster? It says it raises the touch sensitivity for the SGS but people say it works on other devices. Has anyone tried this on the Kobo Vox. Please tell me if it does work

Choices: Touch or Touch Cruise?

Hi there, can u guys help me.
I'm planning to buy a PDA phone, ultimately the choices fell to either the HTC Touch or the Touch Cruise. Been reading a lot, so I know that the Touch is a bit slow, but the TCruise has driver problems.. Basically what I need is good all-around PDA, WLAN and fast processing is a must. Touch is offered at ~$500 and the TCruise at ~$800. Perhaps I would go with the Touch, if the current ROMs + o/c'ing could help improve the speed.
Which is worth the money? How bout overclocking solutions for the TCruise? Any other recommendations? Thanks, guys.
My vote
(provided I have the $$$$)
Cruise. Because of the 3G
Hi,
How's ur experience with your Touch?
Any slowdowns or anything?
Cheers!
Cruise is the only way to go...why don't you just take this ppc for a test drive to see if u like it?

My Touch is fast, hence it's only WM6 prof edition. I am still waiting for all the bugs fixed before attempting to upgrade to WM6.1.
I guess I am lucky, because I am running 4gb Sandisk and all my programs are installed onto the Storage Drive, and not on the main drive.
Ow that's great. How about overclocking and video playback at VGA res?
I am using HTC touch and its working fine..
I have no issue of slow processing..
there are some reg tricks to increase performance also
only thing it lacks is 3g.. so if you want latest phone technology and dont have money prblem then go with cruise else touch is never been bad option ..
Touch Cruise is my choice and I have both the Orbit 2 (which is a badged Touch Cruise) and the wife uses a Touch so I can compare them, the Touch is short on memory and a little sluggish when you start up a few programs, the biggest advantage the Touch Cruise has is the 3G/ HSDPA and built in GPS - well worth the price differential - Mike
The "driver" issue is just that it's hardware is not being used by its fully potential because of a lack of a video driver, isn't it?
yes, but it means that it's really slow in graphic intensive apps, because of the missing acceleration. Even the normal touch should be faster in such apps (games, video playback...).
Btw: I got the touch, and compared to other devices (e.g. hermes @ 400mhz) i think it's not that bad as everyone says.
I would take the touch again (i got the ELFin with 128mbs of ram), because it's a pretty small, stylish, cheap and also fast device. (At least i found _no_ apps, which the touch could not handle).
Thats a high price for either phone. I sell the Enhanced Touch & the Touch Cruise for much less then both prices you listed. I am not saying to buy from me, but I am saying that you should not be paying those prices for either phone.
I love the Touch Enhanced because of its size. I love the Touch Cruise because of its 3G.
I am using an Atom life. It is basically the size of the Touch (minus the Flush Screen) but has a processor thats 3 times as fast (great for watching videos) and has 1900 for US 3G.
I am using HTC Touch Elfin (128MB RAM and 256MB ROM) and its working fine..but, I Like cruise because of its 3G, GPS, more faster (400Mhz)..but high price (1200u$d in Argentina) .

How responsice is the screen compared with Diamond?

Hi all,
After few day using the Touch Diamond, I went back to Kaiser (the 6th already). Now the Touch Pro is available in my country, I also want to get it.
But in term of the touched screen, I do think that the screen of TP is responsive badly as the one of Diamond. Could you pls share your experience?
Thanks!
Yes,the touchscreen sensitivity was very bad in comparison with Himalaya. Bad sensitivity, small size and big resolution made the device very difficult to use without stylus. But I have increased the sensitivity in registry and is much, much better then default. Now I am satisfied.
Use e.g. Advanced Config Tool 3.2 to increase sensitivity. Works like a charm
I changed the Registry in Diamond to increase the sensitivity of touch screen to 400 it was just a bit better. The middle of the screen was quite responsive but I had to press the other space (especially near the edges) hardly with the stylus.
So I think the sensitivity of the Touch Pro is the same as Diamond.
In Advanced Config go to HTC TouchFlo and change the Pressure threshold and Finger pressure values to Extremely high.

FM Transmitter

Hi,
I have some problems with my FM-Transmitter. It worked fine with my older Touch Cruise. With the Touch Pro it sounds like sitting in a box. Does anyone no how to improve the sound quality?

HTC HERO, do want (o.s.), possible?

"it has full flash" THen, i want. - htc hero

I have an touch pro, and DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANOTHER Cellphone!
The main processor is just as good (maybe the same) as all those new cellphones... 528 blablabl 258 blablabla...
well, the question is: Will it be possible? do anyone knows if is just that simple? copy files, and paste, and smile? Its the same brand, but another O.S... well, maybe? (operational system)
what people here would say about that?
Hows going the fusion between HTC touch pro and android?
the hardware specs look really like the touch pro and touch diamond. maybe they can pull this so we can get proper android on our touch pro. and hopefully keep dual boot.
don't think you want it on your raphael before there comes a vga version
otherwise it would not be that big on your screen
½ size pretty much
screensize might not be the best. android is already ported atleast visually to the touch pro. maybe this will help with the drivers. then the next step can be porting over that interface if you want it. lately htcs replacement interfaces have been quite nice. tf3d was quite good actually. itll be interesting to see what they do to android.
I believe the Hero is going to have a capacitive touchscreen. That may present a problem for our Touch Pro with the resistive touchscreen...
>_< i know that. the resistive touch screen and graphics, and the capacitive navipad isnt a problem in the current android port for raphael, its the rest of the hardware.
Just don't count on it. All the Android porting for the Diamond and Touch Pro and older devices has been REALLY slow. Buy an Android phone if you want Android.

Touch Pro or Touch Pro 2

hey guys, i'm having a Touch Pro right now, but, i'm considering about trading it for a Touch Pro 2, i don't know i should do that or not, i think the Touch Pro is pretty good for me, but Touch Pro 2 has a lot of upgrades from HTC, but is it worth taking a shot for or not ??!?
P/S: sorry guys for my bad English, i'm working on it
Read Rhodium ROOM for info then you think that I have an HD and BIG screen makes difference
With TP probabily you could have little device but I'll buy TP2: bigger screen, higher res, new CPU, QWERTY with good keys and official WM6.5 Upgrade (but cooked ROMs are better )
D'rath
thanks for advice, but big screen with me is not a big deal at all, you know, i have small finger so big screen is kind of hard for me to use with only one hand, but maybe in some cases big screen can be good (like when watching movie or video,v..v) the only thing i like in the Touch Pro is the high res, wonderful keyboard and awesome titling...i wish Touch Pro has it, that would be so cool...
Go for TP2!!
thanks man, maybe a touch pro 2 will be mine
