I unlocked , installed custom on my phone, then I relocked my bootloader and flash stock att2.20 by running ruu.exe. now, everytime I checked for software update, it always says service unavailable. Do you guys know anything about this problem? Btw, my phone is unlocked and use T-Mobile.

You realize you can't update a stock AT&T device via T-Mobile, even if you're using a T-Mobile sim card?

No, before I could check and it said "no software update available this time" when I used T-Mobile simcard.

It always puzzles me why do people on custom ROMs want to get OTAs?
AT&T JB isn't rolling out yet. When it does, it will get posted in Development in a TWRP-flashable rooted form.
I also doubt the OTA will feature much (if anything) that is not already present in the JB Sense ROMs already up in Development, plus all of AT&T's bloatware crap and other meddling. Possibly including a new hboot that will mess up even more stuff this time.

Recently I unlocked my bootloader on my AT&T htc one x
Did this void my warranty on my phone, because it seems to be having hardware issues, and I don't know if this voided my warranty.
Technically, yes. It voids your warranty.
Are you still within your 30 days?
I had a flickering pixel on my first HOX. So I backed everything up, relocked my bootloader, flashed the 1.85 RUU, factory reset to everything stock, made sure that there were no ROM or "hacking" files on the SD card (can't be too careful ), and brought it to the AT&T store.
They replaced my HOX without any problem!
I never mentioned to them that I unlocked and relocked my bootloader, and they never asked me either. As long as you focus on the hardware issue, you're good.
If you're part your 30 days, though, can't tell you what happens then. I don't know how thoroughly they look at a device with hardware issues, or how picky they are when you send them your device for warranty replacement. Wouldn't hurt to try though, IMO, if it's something that bothers you.
What's wrong with the hardware?

I am not getting any att signal at all no bars anywhere, I don't know if it's sim card or the phone itself.
By any chance can you send me link of how to relock bootloader.
Thanks

Did you try flashing different radios?
Anyway, this how to relock your bootloader:

This is the RUU that I used to go back to stock:

No, I didn't what does flashing different radios do.
Thanks btw for all the help
Here is the link to a collection of radios for the HOX:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694012
You may or may not have a hardware issue. Did you flash any ROMs after you unlocked your bootloader?
I would try to rule it out by either flashing one of the radios from the above collection (I would start with the ATT 1.85 radio), or by going back to stock completely if that doesn't help. If you're still having issues, then I would take the phone to the store in its "stock" and "relocked" condition.

I Want to un-root my unlocked HTC One S. The original carrier was Telus (Canada) But i have been using it on Bell. I have read a couple forums on here and none seem to help me. My phone was rooted with a stock rom. But i have deleted all Super user data and relocked my boot loader And re installed the stock recovery but i still cannot get software updates (The reason I want to un-root) Can someone tell me what i am missing?
Did you try the full unroot option within SuperSu's settings?
Edit: nevermind. You said super user not supersu

I have downloaded the Rogers ruu. But haven't ran it yet. Will it lock my phone to rogers if i run it? Or do i need to find a ruu the is for my appropriate carrier?
Get then Run the Telus RUU.
There's few threads about that on XDA with easy steps.

Unless you got a SuperCID your phone is branded as a Telus phone and require the Telus RUU. RUUs are linked with the CID of the phone, not the SIM inserted, you can't run a Bell RUU.
I went to update my htc one x, and it says server unavailable and im on 4.0.3. Im stuck...
You are almost certainly better off by not doing any OTA updates from at&t.

If OP has any desire to root and flash custom ROMs, I agree. Just root and unlock bootloader now. Then update to whatever stock rooted or custom ROM you like.
If OP wants to stay stock, then get the RUU from the HTC website. RUU will wipe the phone, but its a cleaner install than OTA, and less likely to cause problems anyway.
I had the same problem. Download the rom from HTC .com connect to pc and install rom.

I read on the one s forums that carrier updates are actually pushed out by HTC, not the carrier. It's based on the cid of the phone, not what SIM card you have in it.

Do you have any friends who are on VZW and have either a Moto X or iPhone 5/5S? The reason I ask, is because those 2 phones take a nano SIM card like the M8 does. When a software update comes out, try using their SIM card in your phone to take the update. That's the easiest way I can think of.

Well you might be stuck then without rooting and ROM'ing your phone. Hopefully sometime else might know. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to s-off and then root your phone to push the firmware update.
the Red Viper ROM
So given that my phone is in the same situation as the original poster, all I have to do is to s-off and root my phone to push the update?
How would the update be done if it's rooted? I just want to update the firmware, I have no intention of adding a custom rom or anything, just whatever sense version is the latest on verizon now

Yes, you should be able to install just the firmware/radios. There is a thread in the android development section specifically for the installation of the firmware/radios. You will definitely need s-off to install them. There is also a thread on that - it's actually really easy. I had my brand new m8 s-off'd and rooted in about 20 minutes.
