[Q] CM 10.1 Galaxy Note 10.1 N8010 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well I'm stuck! I have tried CWM recovery then TWRP, I have tried flashing CM10.1 (cm-10.1-20130113-NIGHTLY-n8013.zip) on my N8010 with no luck. I keep getting an error.
I think I have followed all the directions, but maybe I'm missing something? I downloaded GooManager and got it running and downloaded CM10.1 (N8013) and tried flashing with the same results.
My thinking is N8013 really compatible with N8010?
I currently am running N8010XXBLK9 JB-4.1.1 rooted - of course
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to match OS on both devices. :-{

I flashed CM fine on my N8010, I used TWRP recovery to flash it. And also can you give me more details about the error?

With TWRP after wiping data & cache and Dalvik cache I flashed it and received an error of
"E: Unable to open Zip file"
"E: Error flashing zip '/external_sdcard/goomanager/cm-10.1-20130113-NIGHTLY-n8013.zip"
I did however, try downloading this file twice. Once on my computer and transferred it to the tablet to flash with Odin mobile and again through GooManager.
???
Thanks for your reply

try flashing the Rom the way u downloaded and don't try any modification or dint unzip and rezip, flash a fresh download.
full wipe required to boot
in cwm go to mounts and storage and mount all that is unmounted.
Then flash the rom.
This is common to all 10.1 A1 and A2 roms.
Hello. Download and install again and all will be well.=))

Copy cm11 to ext SD card using a card reader and flash it via cwm recovery. Good luck.

[Q] Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 ROM Flashing Help

Hello,
I've been having significant trouble flashing multiple different ROMs on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (GT-P3113). What happens is every time I boot into recovery, wipe data, cache, dalvik and then proceed to flash the ROM from external storage. However, every time I try to flash a new ROM the installation is aborted. Iv tried multiple different 4.4 ROMs and a couple 4.3 ROMs with no success.
I am currently running full stock rooted (w/ CF-auto root) 4.2.2 with CWM recovery. I checked every download with its MD5 and they all matched so im fairly positive that it is not a bad download. Im not sure to what could possibly be causing the installation to be aborted, I am very familiar with Odin and flashing on Samsung devices but this issue has me stumped.
Could the CWM recovery version be causing this? Or is there a different method of flashing on the Tab 2 in comparison to other Samsung devices?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Try to use latest TWRP recovery and reflashing custom ROM again
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548257
Failed because of old recovery. Bootloop because it failed to flash. You need to update your recovery as @blue_drt29 mentioned.
Find latest recoverys in my Thread. Link in my signature.
Reflash the Rom.

[Q] help upgrading from 4.1 to 4.3/4

ok guys, stupid question time. i have been out of the hacking game for a while and havent been keeping up with the S3 since i was running a pretty stable version of cyanogenmod. i picked up a S5 last month and the S3 has just been sitting but the wifes phone is on its last leg so i figured i would update the S3 and give it to her since it would be an upgrade to what she has now. i was running CM 4.1.2 and tried to flash the 4.3 AllianceRom. did my usual, updated CWM, downloaded the rom, checked the MD5, flashed the new modem and rom using CWM and everything looked good. then it happened. stuck at the "galaxy SIII" logo screen. nothing got me out of it. wiped everything, tried a reinstall, downloaded the rom again and did an install, nothing. tried another rom and the install failed, tried another rom and again, install failed. so i had a copy of cleanrom 5.6 which is a 4.1.1 rom and damn if that didnt hand as well. so i did a battery pull and luckly it had installed and the phone actually booted up and into android. the only downside is for some reason i cant connect to wifi with the rom. so, i still want to try either 4.3 or 4.4 on this phone so the question is, WTF am i doing wrong that it wont boot? shouldnt i be able to go from 4.1.1 to 4.3 or 4.4 by just using CWM? help a brother out.
Make sure u cwm is the most recent

You need to use the latest PhilZ Touch Recovery (https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2lte/) (just flash it in your current recovery). It is the best, and it works great. I would first go to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" and choose to "Clean to Install a New ROM." Then I would go into "Advanced" and wipe dalvik cache. Then I would go into "Mounts and Storage" and format boot and modem. Then I would flash the newest modem (http://www.mediafire.com/download/v0als76t6nmtpbo/DNE1.modem.zip). Then finally install your ROM and then GApps.
yes, CWM was updated just before flashing. i installed the recommended modem for the rom i was installing. not sure why it was stuck at the logo on 4.3 when i flashed a 4.1.1 rom and it booted right up just fine.
resolved. thanks guys.

Curious to know what you had to do to get it working?
I have two (2) S3's that I need to update and they're both running 4.1.1 ROMs.
Any info would be much appreciated.

I did all of the above and I can't get anything to work....
I updated to Philz, updated the modem and went to install a new ROM and it's error'ing out every time?
This phone was rooted from way back and it appears that I may have lost root... It's stuck at the Samsung Galaxy S III boot screen and I'm trying to get it to boot in to recovery at this time.
Edit: Was able to get in to recovery and restoring a backup now. Somethings not right when trying to go to a newer ROM.

I thought I updated to the latest Phliz and I do believe that's the error I was getting when I tried to load the ROM.
I'll check again Monday.
I appreciate the info.
The issue was with Philz.
I upgraded to the latest TWRP and loaded the new ROM fine.

I need a rom for GT-I9300T

Hey Guys i downloaded a I9300 CM13 ROM for my I9300T, i tried to flash it via TWRP, but i got status error 7, which is i think because the ROM isn't compatible with my phone.. maybe it is? I dunno, if it isn't then what ROM do i download, i would highly appreciate some help here, i have a I9300 as well and that was flashed in such a easy stress free manner, but this I9300T just wont do it, can anyone point me in the correct direction? Thanks!
Sorry the error was " Updater process ended with ERROR: 7 " it wouldnt let me flash CM13, so all i done was just done a factory reset from TWRP Recovery and attempted to flash again, it worked, so problem solved.
Seems the I9300 CM13 Rom worked with the GT-I9300T, no problems so far.
