Im bricked please help me!!!

I was replacing the stock recovery file with Krylon's Modded Recovery Binary.
I deleted the stock recovery file in /system/bin (copyed it to external sd) after pasteing the Modded Recovery Binary in /system/bin.
I had the CWM 3 file already copied to my external sd card
I turned off my phone to reboot it and the phone is now stuck on the black screen with the white Samsung Galaxy S 4g logo. All my soft keys are lit up too.
Is my phone bricked? How do i get into download mode? What can i do to fix this?
Im Very noob and going to have a "pro" fix if it can be.
Im a blue collar worker and dont work at a pc. Im traveling to work and wont be able to reply in real time but PLEASE leave comments. I will be checking in when i can...
I paid $500 for my phone so THANK YOU ALL VERY VERY MUCH.
I cant believe i screwed something so simple up. I should of asked for help BEFORE I was in trouble.

Hold both volume keys and then plug the usb from the computer to your phone to access download mode. If it doesn't work u can buy a unbrick jig from ebay. If you get into download mode using volume keys then flash back to stock. Phone should be turned off if trying to put into download mode

Do I have a soft brick or a hard brick?

You have a soft brick. This should be fixable getting into DOWNLOAD MODE and using ODIN. Do a few searches for both. A JIG may be necessary to obtain download mode as well. Search all topics I have listed in all CAPS and you should be good to go! PM me if you have any questions...

same thing happened to me, all I did was I downloaded whitehawkx KD1 kernel which is perfect because your phone will already be rooted and has the file so you could put CWM3, after you download it get into download mode and flash with odin, if you need any more help please let me know

Thanks for the good news. I feel much better knowing what needs to be done. I will search your topics. I have been reading everything I can on this subject. I probably should have done that before I made this post. It's my first brick and I was desperate for info.
I'm going to try to fix it after 2pm (with help)...I'm in work and its the longest day of my life today. Lol.

I'm going to do exactly what you suggest. I only had rooted stock so if I fix this with whitehawkx I'll have a better phone.

I am back! UNBRICKED! Thank you Odin! My phone is back to stock, rooted, bloat free and fota fixed. I was so happy to get it back the way I had it before tinkering with it I decided to wait to flash whitehawkx deo'd with odin... I want to do it through CWM 3.

How did you get yours fixed? I can't even boot I don't get a boot screen or anything. please help T Mobile sucks when it comes to repair.

I'm very noob but there are people who will help you on here for sure.
I had a "soft brick". Phone stuck on Samsung galaxy s 4g splash screen with my soft keys lit up too. I searched and read in this forum. I went to our 4g development section and found a post called Noobs guide to Odin.
From that post I downloaded the samsung drivers I needed for the pc I was using (32 bit in my case), downloaded Odin 1.7 and then downloaded krylon360 stock/root rom.
I ran Odin, got my phone into download mode and then flashed the rom with no problems.
I'm new and in work so can't be too much help. Everything you need to know has been talked about on our forum. People will help you. Good luck!...
Maybe you should post your own topic in this GENERAL section to let people know you are bricked. Put I'm bricked in the subject line. A fresh topic might get peoples attention faster. Like I said I'm new.

what did you do to brick it? we need some details to help you out. are you able to get into download mode?

i Flash my T959v with T959 and now the phone is BRICK!
NO USB Connection
NO Download Mode
NO detection on the PC
the Screen is blank
can't believe i end up doing this

i've done the same thing! but i had 2 phones so that saved me only thing u can do is pay $45 for a jtag service
thats what imma do for my other phone so i can still have two better then getting a new one and its cheaper then an insurance claim which is now $130
but i really screwed my phone cuz in the new odin it says bootloaders so i downloaded t959 bootloaders and used the bootloader section of odin and now my phone doesnt respond to anything nothing at all only jtag can fix it now.......

Im not sure if it would help but try a jig? Or look under the development section for unbrickable mod that might help bring your phone back to life

Have you tried the download combo and flashing proper boot loaders even with a blank screen? We have seen it before....
You could also try the unbrickable mod to recover. I think the developer will apply and recover for $30 or so plus shipping....

I Bricked my Infuse 4g!! HEP!!!

Cant even Get to Download Mode..
screen says "Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue, Please Select recovery mode in kies and try again". but when i connect it to my pc device is not responding.. i cant even get to download mode.. please help me..

I suggest you pull the battery. Then replace battery. Hold both volume buttons then plug in the USB cable. If it doesn't go to the download mode screen then you might have bricked it.

Infuse = Pretty much Unbrickable >.< It's too easy to just pop it into download mode and install stock ROM.

My captivate does not respond to any button or button combination. It does not turn on at all. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Does it show any signs of life if plugged into a wall charger ??
Can u get into Download mode ??

I think the last thing I downloaded was 3button fix, & after that it just powered off by itself. When I plug into wall charger nothing happens. It feels like battery is charging (feels warm) but nothing on screen.

If u were running anything Gingerbread and then u flashed the 3 button fix...u r hard bricked, because of mix-matched bootloaders.
If u r on a pc, look at my sig below for links to get it repaired.

If it's hard bricked, Do I need jig to unbrick it or can do without Jig?

If hard bricked, only Jtag and/or Unbrickable Mod will help.
Jig will not put u in download mode if u r hard bricked.

HELP! My tab won't turn on!

OK so what happened was I had the latest CM10 build installed and wanted to try the paranoid android rom out and I flashed my device with the 2.50 build. I soft bricked it. I could still go into recovery but the device wouldnt load into paranoid android. I had an emergency so I had to leave the device the way it was in a bootloop state I came back the device was off. Obviously It ran out of juice. And now when I try to charge it i don't get any response...... could this be a hard brick?? ??
please guys any help would bbe greatly appreciated!

Happened to once with a different model. Never had it fixed, as suggested by a technician, go to someone who has a JTAG. Same with what I was thinking, but I never bothered to had it fixed.

Well if I'm not mistaken I don't think there is jtag for our devices. well I fixed it now thank god! I took apart another p6200 and swapped out the batteries and as soon as I swapped them the one I thought was bricked booted up! I flashed the stock rom then rootedbit ahandball that now its working great! I guess it doesn't charge whenbits in a boot loop or something? Thanks man I really appreciate ur help

I just had this problem too and couldn't find any answers about what can I do to solve it...
I was trying to flash ICS ROM over Odin (I hate it), and it always stucked on the process. When I tried to reboot, it did just not woke up again!
What may have happened? Does someone knows what to do now?

I really don't know what to tell you... for me swapping out batteries fixed it but it was a real pain to do so. You could try keeping it plugged into the charger for a while and ssee if the screen powers on. If it does just put your tab in download mode and flash from Odin. Maybe u had a llow charge when you tried flashing stock?
