Trebuchet.apk mod (ICS)

I have modded the trebuchet launcher so that it says google in the search bar on the home pages like the galaxy nexus does. It was annoying me the way it was so I thought I'd change it. I've also changed the market icon on the app drawer so it has the play shop icon there instead of the old market. Just replace the old trebuchet.apk with this one in system/app then reboot

[REQ] App & Shortcut Widget from HTC Butterfly

I would really enjoy being able to use this widget. I had extracted the apk file, (along with the 3x2 weather clock), and eventually got them installed in the system/app/ folder, but the widgets aren't present.
Perhaps someone would have a way to convert these to work on the M8? I'm mainly just looking to get the App & Shortcut widget, but the weather clock would be a nice bonus.
Thank you!
[EDIT]
I went over to the HTC One threads and found some apks and tried them. I got the app to appear in my app drawer but when I go to add it to my screen, but it just crashes. I have it installed as a system app and set the correct permissions. I'm guessing the apks just need some modification for Sense 6 since they were set for Sense 5. Any help with this would be amazing.
UPDATE:
I have extracted an apk that ALMOST works. I can add the widget to a screen, but it force closes when I try to assign an app to it.
I have included the apk, so any help would be great.
I pulled the apk from the Verizon M7 NuSenseSIX rom, so props and thanks to those developers.

Permanent icon theme

Hi guys.. Is there an app that make permanent my icon pack? For example: my icon pack includes the Facebook icon; when I flash my icon pack, the Facebook stock icon will be replaced by the mine but if I do any update of the Facebook's app, my modified icon will be replaced by the stock one. What should I do to make my icon pack permanent even if I do updates? Thanks

I can't understand what exactly do you want, but try Unicon from the store. It changes permanently the icon of any app

I meant: if I change the stock Facebook app icon with an another icon made by me, then, when I'll do an update of the Facebook app, my custom icon will be replaced by the Facebook's original one. Now, to use unicon I have to create an app. How can I create an app with my custom icons inside?
not possible because an custom rom can include facebook app .. the app then is stored in system/apps by the rom cook.. if a update occurs the update replaces the app and stores it to /data/app .. if you replace an icon in data/apps the app will be removed and renamed .. for example to data/app/com-facebook~.apk so any icon in it is stock ...

MIUI12 how to replace default Xiaomi clock and agenda ?

Hi there,
My 160h unlock time will finally be over tomorrow and I will be able to root.
I would like to replace the default Xiaomi Clock and the default Xiaomi Agenda by the ones from google easily downloadable on Google Play, how can I do that ?
Removing the default Clock and Agenda is not a problem, I will probably find a way with Magisk or another tool (Titanium Backup), but how make sure that the new apps from Google will be recognized as default ?
Because right now, after having installed the Google Clock for example, when I set an alarm, I don't get any "alarm clock" icon in the status bar, unlike the default clock that comes with MIUI 12.
Thank you!
Well. after a few researches, I found that I could easily replace the
/system/app/DeskClock/DeskClock.apk
By the ones I want to modify it.
So I went to : https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=clock
To find some clocks, download them, rename them "DeskClock.apk".
I replaced my system clock by the OnePlus clock, then reboot : No luck, it does not even open the app, just an error appearing.
Then, I replaced it by the last version of Google clock, reboot : Working ! The clock is opening normally... but when I set an alarm, it still does not trigger the "alarm" icon in the status bar
So I reversed back to MiUi clock for now...
hey man
