[Q] [searching] IMAP unread widget - General Questions and Answers

// It maybe that I misplaced this topic, it's my first post outside my device's subforum, so please move if needed, thanks.
For my information and designing needs, I'm searching for a way to display the count of unread messages from one (or more) of my IMAP accounts, which are hosted on my own domain, so no GMail, Yahoo!, etc.
I looked at UCCW, Zooper and Tasker, but at best they seem to feature GMail. So I'd like to know if any of you knows a plugin for one of them or some other good solution to just give me a "X" (X=number) without any Icons, but at least the possibility for a custom font? If so, please tell.

Notifications for emails in folders other than the inbox.

I've been looking around for some type of software (since WM5 and WM6 don't seem to have the ability built in) that will let me know when I've gotten an email in a folder other than my inbox.
All of the people in my office have separate folders, and all of their email is sorted into their respective boxes automatically in a server-side rule. I'd always have to manually check those folders in windows mobile (I've got an 8125 running XDA Mobile 6 r4) every time I looked at my phone.
While searching around I found a software package called watchflag (www.watchflag.com or m.watchflag.com for the direct download). It didn't have this option at first, but I asked their support about it and they actually wrote it into the code! It'll play different notifications depending on who it's from or what the subject line is, and it checks all folders, including subfolders (just be sure to follow all of their directions!). So if you've been looking for something to alert you on new email in subfolders (the boss [or the wife] emailing you and you have a separate folder for them), this software will work great.
Just wanted to spread the word as I looked high and low and haven't found anything else that does this out there!
thanks for the post, nice ap. probably shouldnt put your email in plain site like that[username]
I've been waiting a long time for this! Thanks!
Looks interesting. I'm looking for something subtley different - I use FlexMail to access a private IMAP account and I'd love to find something which hooks the standard notification process, so, for instance, my HTC Home new mail count will increment for mail received in Flexmail/IMAP. (At the moment I have Outlook mirroring the IMAP account and checking for mail every 5 minutes to flag new arrivals, but that's wasteful of resources...)
Does anyone know of something that allows you to hook the standard notification procedures for custom events?

Where can I find shortcut names/link WM6?

Hi, I didn't really know how to word this in the title so I'll explain here.
I'm currently creating themes (For the SEX1) and I need to know the links within WM to access certain applications and parts of the UI, for example:
To access messaging I link "\Windows\tmail.exe"
however, if I want to get directly to SMS messaging or a certain email inbox, how do I adapt the above link?
Other than messaging I currently want to get to the battery interface (shows the charge level and options etc).
Is there somewhere I can find a list of these or a way I can find it out myself from the UI?
Thanks.

Thank you.
Thank you kindly. I did have a brief look, but when you don't know the name of what you're searching for, it's hard to search

Clock with email/rss/etc

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.
I was looking at some 'skinnable' 3.5" LCD clocks my supermarket is selling, and thought they'd be pretty good if they also showed you if you had unread email (ideally multiple accounts, POP & IMAP, either a count indicator or the headers, etc.) and/or RSS feed(s) (scrolling?).
Is something like this already available? (for a Universal running WM 6.1)
SPB Time/Shell looks nice, but (judging by screenshots) isn't full screen (you can still see the menu bar?) and doesn't have the kind of email and/or rss capabilities I was looking for. I've searched, but can't really find ANY clock app/screensaver that also displays email headers/feeds.

Looking for an App for Gmail notification from a specific email address

Hi,
Looking for an App that will force a loud ringtone (even when on silent) when an email arrives (into Gmail box) from a specific email address (or addresses).
Basically a 'prioiry email' type application. I have had a nosey round the market and various apps seem to offer partial results but nothing concrete.
This is needed for overnight support at work - to make sure that any incidents wake up the on-call guys
in other words it needs to be a pretty stable app
Any thoughts ?
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.hubris.gmailnotifierpro&feature=search_result should be the solution, you'll need to set up a rule in gmail to put the mail in a certain label and then use this app
You might also be able to do something like that with Tasker. I know it is possible to trigger alarms and other changes/activities with SMS messages, so email may be as well.
Thanks Guys .... Ill have a tinker with both

E-Mail app that can sort by Sender

Hello all,
I'm having trouble finding a good e-mail app that does what I want it to do, and I haven't had any luck in searching these forums for a while.
The only thing I'm looking for is an e-mail app that can sort e-mail by Sender. I can make do with anything else, that is my only preference.
My e-mail app on the S3 used to do it. I'm not on the S5, and its app does not. I know the Gmail doesn't since I tried it before on the S3 and it never did so I didn't use it.
I have also tried myMail and Cloud Magic, it doesn't appear that either of them has this functionality.
Can anybody point me towards an e-mail app that I'm looking for?
Thanks!
Have you tried Inbox my GMail? or MailBox by DropBox? If so, try using maildroid and use the search function so that you can easily find the sender by their name or e-mail

I just downloaded and tried them. Both Inbox by Gmail and Mailbox by Dropbox look like basically G-mail only accounts (I'm working with a non-gmail account).
I also came across LightMail and gave that a try, but no go.
I know I can use the search function in any of the apps, but it's not that I'm looking for a particular e-mail or sender, but that I deal with bulk hundreds of e-mails by sender, and prefer to work through a sorted list so I can go from one to the other. Searching requires me knowing everybody who has sent me e-mails, which is the point of why I sort by sender.
Any additional help is appreciated, thanks!
WeMail is by far the best app to do this.
