[Q] Xperia X8 Need For Speed Shift

Hello!
has anyone tried to play need for speed shift on their x8??
when i install the apk file..it downloads the data and when i open the game then the screen goes black and I'm back to the menu..
Please help me as I really love this game and want to play it very badly

its simple it only runs on 2.2 os,, so if your using a rom with 2.2,, example froyobread,,,, but it wont run on stock 2.1 eclair and 2.3 gingerbread rom,, example" Gingerdx, kyuadroid , hope it helped

it works on my gingerbread rom (or at least it did before i uninstalled it. now i cant install the game properly anymore)

I am using Floyo-1.0(downloaded from XDA) on W8, and NFS Shift works smoothly

[Q] Missing featured apps ??

I need your help guys and devs for one problem. I had to downgrade from wildhero (2.3.3 sense) to 2.1 cuz I needed more stable rom for a few days. I choosed one and flashed it, but the market didn't show most of the featured apps, like Skype, My Tracks, Google Sky Map, Xda devs, Tapatalk and many more. I used Search and it's the same - they're not in the results.I thought its location problem but it isn, cuz after a lot flashing different roms I haven't any problems till now. Tried 3 different 2.1 sense roms - its the same - same missing apps. Now when I flashed back this wildhero 2.3.3 sense rom (ver1.2.1) everything is fine , like it should be. I think its 2.3.3 Sense problem , somehow it restricts old android`s version market.. its wired... could you help me somehow ?? please its important to know !!

The Android market will not display any apps which are written specifically for newer OS versions on older ones:

Man , I know that, Im not so stupid...Imagine you downgrade from Froyo to Eclair and when U open the Market - most of the usual apps U can see in Eclair are misiing. Thats whats going on here.

why not try downloading it and trying a demo? It's free.....
or are you trying to say you've tried and it doesn't work because your android version is too old and the specs of the phone are too poor? If so then you're probably out of luck...

Im trying to say my android version is 2.1 and it requires 2.3 + to download I need to know if rooting my phone and installing a 2.3 gingerbread rom would allow me to do this

wow if there's an update for your phone from 2.1 then why haven't you done it yet?

If you root and flash a 2.3 rom, then yes, it will work

[Q] Jelly Bean on SGS3 without software keys ?

Hello all,
I would like to buy a Samsung Galaxy S3 (International) but I don't like Touchwizz.
Is it possible to install Android ICS 4.1 (jeally beans) but without the software keys at the bottom ?
If so, are there tutorials out there ? Thank you very much.
PS : I have searched for this, but I couldn't find anything (only stuff about KEY lime etc).

You can install an ICS-like launcher off the market but as of this moment you're not going to want to use a Jellybean port for your main runner. There's still a lot of work that needs to be done on it. Just wait a little while for some Jellybean ROMs.

JXD S18 Mini Pad Questions

Just received my JXD S18 Mini Pad and was wondering what ROM I can install on it.
It's running Ice Cream Sandwhich, Version 4.0.4
This device is already rooted, so that is not neccesery.
Is it possible to install Cyanogen mod on this device?
Are there custom ICS 4.0.4 roms with less bloat?
If I install a custom ROM e.g. Cyanogen mod, will the tablet still be rooted??

I just used the firmware package posyed @ jxd.hk,and tailored it to what i wanted.rooted.overclockedflash 11 as oem.1 question does yours connect to wireless gateways without prompting for key?

It does once I've verified it with my router.

its never once asked for a key anytime i connect to a wifi gateway.wish i knew what does that id share with the world

Hello, I'm quite new to android and
I was wondering if the skelrom for jxd s601would be compatible with my JXD S18 tablet version 01? Because I have been looking for a custom rom for my JXD S18, and sad to say that can't find any. I find using the S18 with the jxd provided firmware a hassle as the battery drains very fast. I'm looking for 3 or 3.5 hours (minimum) to 4-4.5 or even 5 hours (maximum). And since the S601 is very similar to the S18 in terms of specs, perhaps i can use this rom as a base for me to modify into something for the s18, or even use it directly on my s18. Any ideas? Is there a way to add a change apps button?

Does anybody know a way to add the virtual button for overview / switch between apps and selecting which ones to close, so you release some RAM? I uploaded 3 images to show there's no overview button on the home screen.
I recently bought a S18 tablet from a small store in Bogotá and despite being so limited in functions, RAM and battery life it's not that useless, at least it's good to read some texts and listening to music (I just installed AIMP, which i consider as the best offline audio player for Android).
