I just found a nice new app in the Android Market called HD Widgets by cloud.tv. It's 99 cents for a limited time ($2.99 in the future) and I just bought it. I like it a lot because I've been waiting for a nice tablet clock and weather widget to be available. Check it out if anyone is interested:
https://market.android.com/details?id=cloudtv.hdwidgets&feature=search_result
There's also an article over at AndroidCentral about the app too:
http://www.androidcentral.com/cloud...dgets-designed-specifically-honeycomb-tablets
That's a pretty impressive list of widgets, but I don't think I'm ever interested enough in the weather to use the one in your 4th screenshot. Is that one widget that takes up a whole page?

It's actually the window that opens when you click on the weather from your homescreen. So when you click the widget on your homescreen, those details popup.
NICE widgets. Just purchased and installed. I like it better than the Asus weather widget, which was pretty flaky when updating.
Awesome widgets.

Glad you all liked it! I was talking with one of the developers by email and I was surprised at how fast they responded to an inquiry. Seems like they really stand behind their app.
Purchased the APP as well. My only "gripe" is that I wish they allowed you to put in multiple locations for Weather. Because then it would be awesome. And, I could get rid of Accuweather all together.
Wonder if I should bother them with this?

It looks beautiful. Kinda makes me regret buying Beautiful Widgets... And they spelt "RealFeel" wrongly.
Looks really good and the weather is accurate. Well spend 1$.

Yeah, I think you should bother them about this. It would be a great feature for all of us, and they are really down to Earth. They'd probably listen.
Go for it!

Then that should be changed as it's very misleading, if i bought the app for the full page like i was about to do, i would be very pissed.
Sent them an Email this AM. Will let you all know what happens.

I am running the 1/2 page tablet widget with my screen locked in landscape mode, but sometimes the weather graphic is like twice the size it should be, and covers up the location and date text. Occasionally, changing the orientation of the tab to portrait and back again will cause the widget to redraw and fix the problem. Other times, the display remains perma-goofed.
Anyone else see this kind of behavior?
Since the new update, the weather is not updating at all. Just says "Null". I've tried rebooting, selecting a new weather reporting service, removing and adding the widget again... still no go.
Heard back from them this afternoon. They say that is next on the "to do" list. (multiple weather locations).
Right now they are working on getting it to run on phones...

Hi guys.
Back when I was using my Desire HD I'd rooted my phone and installed Miui. My favourite feature was the battery bar that ran across the top of the notification bar (see http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/222/f/b/wip__by_chrisbanks2-d464k4m.png)
Anyway, now I'm on GNex and I totally miss this feature. I was wondering if something like a 4x1 widget that could display a battery line along the top of the widget to be placed on the top of a page as I've photoshopped above. The first image shows a 100% battery and the second 40%.
Anyway, just an idea someone might wanna follow up I certainly wouldn't mind paying a couple of quid for this and I'm sure other people would agree.

You can use it on cm7 builds too. If that's any help.

I had done this before when I switched from miui back to CM7 on my Incredible, but it gave my phone a lot of problems. I would love if an app like the OP mentioned were made, I really miss this from miui.

Ah just tried this. It works well though the colour scheme is a bit iffy. Wasn't aware that something like this was possible as a standalone app

Big THANK to you noranyan for giving us this link !
I was looking for a MIUI-like Battery Bar for days, and now, it's done !
So thank you !
@kaineshutler : you're right, the color sheme is a bit iffy, but stay tuned because perhaps the dev will implement a color selection in the future...
Recently, he added the ability to put the bar on bottom.
So it means that the dev is still working on it !
Thanks for pointing this battery app out. Probably would have never found it. Hope the dev keeps updating it.
On thing I noticed good or bad is that the battery bar is always shown in any app so far, even games. I like it because some games do not show battery, and this is pretty unobtrusive.
How to remove battery from status bar now? Is the only way a smali edit?

You can customize the height, location and color of the bar with this.
Cheers.
Jelly Battery is a pretty simple app. It's an ongoing status bar notification that updates every five minutes, and shows you the current battery level. There's two settings - one to activate the notification, the other for starting it on boot.
The notification uses the new-to-Jelly-Bean priorities system - most of the time, it's an opportunistic notification (that is, there's no icon in the status bar, and it appears at the bottom of the list), but it gets increasingly prioritised as the battery level decreases, starting at 30%. It's among the first apps to harness the new priorities capability, and the low priority makes it among the least annoying notifications.
You can grab Jelly Battery from the Play Store here.

Yes, I could make it work right back to 1.5 probably, but it wouldn't be as useful. The main point of this is that it uses the new priorities feature in Jelly Bean to hide away when it can, and come up to the top when it's urgent.
That would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: well, simply put there is nothing wrong with it. Works great, hasn't broken on me either.
Its great cause I'm on stock and I don't have any way to tell my battery life. I can easily check, and if it gets low, it shows an icon!

can somebody explain this wallpaper deal on the 1X, i find a cool one that according to specs has the correct size. save it to the phone --then i either add it as wallpaper via the Gallery or Personalize and it shows me the wallpaper, with a green square on it that i can slightly enlarge but still it only uses about a third of the entire image, on top of that.. quite a few look like crap (to put it blunt), very pixelated.. what am i missing here.
(related, yesterday i found how to have a different wallpaper on the lock screen but can;t find the setting anymore...)
Use quickpic from the market.

uhm... not quite the explanation i was hoping for ;] will this app allow me to set larger wallpapers ? someone else say it may be a Sense "feature".
Gotta use an app like the one above to make full res wallpapers. I think dodol wallpaper from the marketplace also works.

The "green square" just shows where the home screen will be. Sense has scrolling wallpaper, so you will still see the area to the left and right of the green square as you scroll left and right n sense.

understood, but it also cuts of the top and bottom while i used the right resolution which then makes (if it has something on the image...) pixelated, someone said it may just be Sense who causes that. i find it odd, i download the exact size and have to cut pieces.

Do not ask a question without first making peace with yourself and knowing what you are looking for. If you want to fix that, use quickpic app from the market. Of not, good luck making your own gallery app

yes, i can resize but only so far, and the green box resizes proportional.
Guys, don't be so quick to jump on the op. Its pretty clear what he's trying to say. I know because I experienced it. I'm gonna take a guess and say ur using stock ROM? I had the same problem when I was in stock ROM, he green square only stretches so far, it does not encompass the entire image, therefore the image it sets as your wallpaper becomes stretched and therefore pixelated. I also tried to find ways around this op but I couldn't find any, well that is until I flashed another ROM. I can't quite remember I it worked when I ran cleanrom, but any aosp ROM will work like aokp and cm9/10. With these ROMs the green square stretches out to encompass the full image therefore giving you the right resolution for ur home screen. Other than that I know of no way around the problem. Flash an aosp ROM op, you will thank me for it later

The green box isn't supposed to stretch across the whole image. The green box represent one Sense tab, ie the homescreen. The area ot the left and right of the green box is still part of the wallpaper, when you scroll left and right through the Sense tabs.
I don't see the problem here?

i was using the clock lock-screen, to be able to use a different wallpaper on the lock-screen you must choose "wallpaper" instead of the clock lock screen.. can't have both i guess (#unrooted)
Myself I find pics in range of 1280x1440, that gives nice clear picture viewable over several scrolling screens.
Of course, Ymmv.

What's up all. Was wondering if anyone is seeing slight screen redraws when pressing the home button. Typically I see it with the moto circle widget where it flashes on the screen and redraws itself to the screen. I know back I the day HTC phones had it and doing a build. Prop edit fixed it or something. Was wondering if anyone else noticed it.
I am rooted and have some X posed stuff working but I saw it before I rooted as well. Just curious

I'm pretty sure a fix is going to have to come from Moto itself. I was wondering if anyone could find a work around in the meantime.
I see the Droid circle widget redraw every once in a while. It's so fast that it doesn't bother me at all.
