E: Can't mount /dev/block/stl10 (invalid Argument) Error - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

I originally had a custom ROM but wanted to downgrade to stock because of battery issues. After I flashed the stock ROM (I9003JPKPH_I9003OJPKPC_KSA), in the recovery mode I get the following error during factory reset:
E: Can't mount /dev/block/stl10 (invalid Argument) Error
Ive looked this up a lot and most solutions are something like:
1. Flash stock with pit file and repartition
2. Then flash stock without pit file and without repartiton
3. then flash dbdata.rfs.tar
The problem is that in step 3 Odin shows FAIL as Im unable to flash dbdata.rfs
Help would really really really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

u have to flash xxkpe(twice) with pit file first then flash any ddlf2 or any other rom.hope this helps

[Q] Help will be appreciated.

...Samsung galaxy s 4g.....Long story short i failed at flashing a custom ROM and bricked my phone (my phone kept boot looping..idk if it's considered bricked)...i searched up how to unbrick using odin and it worked. The guide told me to flash this rom to my phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063696
Everything went fine but when i go into the android system recovery <3e> i get this:
E: Can't Mount /dev/block/st1ll
(invalid argument)
E: Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
#MANUAL MODE#
E:Can't mount /dev/block/st1ll
(invalid argument)
E: Can't mount Cache:log/recovery.log
E: can't open Cache:log/recovery.log
E: Can't mount /dev/block/st1ll
(invalid argument)
The phone starts up and everything but i cant do a factory reset anymore (i would like to revert to un-rooted stock firmware) and any application i try downloading from the market is unsuccessful.
Any fixes/suggestions. Your help will be appreciated.
i'd re-flash again. get 2.3.4 and make sure you wipe cache/factory reset afterwards. use odin 1.85
Can you give me some links reliable downloads? they would be appreciated.
what rom are you trying to flash?
You need to flash The pit file along with the PDA it will fix that

[Q] Can't unmount/format/wipe the /cache partition SAMSUNG GALAXY SL I9003

Hi All,
I have been flashing back and forth to try things out on my Samsung Galaxy SL. Today, I attempted to restore back to RemICS and it hung for over an hour, so I hard restarted it. Now, I can't restore anything, because it hangs on the /cache partition. I also receive the message while in recovery mode
Quote:
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I have attempted factory reset, manual formatting, and wipe cache, all to no avail (they all just hang).
I am running CWM 6.x.x.x
Can I use ODIN to restore back to its GB OEM unrooted. If poosible show me the links and threads. or any other stable ROM for SL in ICS or JB
Please help. I am paralyzed without my phone.

Hi, first flash pit file with checking repartition option using Odin and then flash factory firmware.. Then this issue should get resolved. After that as usual you can flash any ROM.
Hit Thanks if I have helped you...

[Q] HELP!! GT-i9100M STUCK IN SAMSUNG SCREEN

Hello!! This is my first post and I was hoping someone will help me. I have a GT-i9100M locked to bell that wont boot. It gets stuck on the SAMSUNG splash screen. I am able to boot into recovery and download mode. But every time i boot into recovery mode i get the following error
#MANUAL MODE #
--Applying Multi-CSC...
E: failed to mount /system (invalid Argument)
can't mount '/system' (invalid Argument)
E: failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
Im assuming my /system partition got corrupted. After doing lots of research, I have have tried to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and re-install the firmware through Odin but didnt have any luck. One thing i should mention, is that Odin doesnt show me that my device is connected. Should i attempt to reinstall a new ROM with a bootloader? Im completely lost. If anyone got any idea what i could do to revive my phone. Ill greatly appreciated.

My fit is bricked. Help me please

Hi all,
My galaxy fit is bricked and I think the problem is /data partition. I'm tring to format it using:
- CMW
- adb (mkefs /dev/block/stl13)
but I'm no luck.
Then flashed stock rom using Odin 4.38 and wipe data with stock recovery, but I get this message
Code:
format_volume rfs format failed on /dev/stl13
Is it possible re-partition my device?

[Completed] Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid Arguments) S3 neo TWRP

On doing Wipe operation(Factory Reset, Format Data, etc.) I am getting error as Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid Argument). Getting same error on flashing custom ROM as well. No luck with Kies, error mmc_write fail. This happened after updating to cm-12.1-20161002-NIGHTLY-s3ve3g.
Please Help...

It sounds like your partition table could be corrupt, have you tried odin stock firmware that includes a pit file ?
