What I'd both apple and Samsung both win?

Would would happen if the jury finds for both parties.. That is apple wins against Samsung but also the jurry finds that apple also used.Samsung patents as well....

Come on... If they both win....

There is already a thread for this discussion that has been open for a few weeks now in this very forum on this very page.
Apple Vs. Samsung Lawsuit: Details of the Patent War of 21st Century
This is different this deals only with if they both win. So they ate not the same. This if after the verdict

They both will win and they both will lose, and the appeals will come.

They can't both win or both lose. Surely as the jury have to decide if samsung copied apple, they can only say yes or no.

the problem is that they will never stop accussing each other so this seems to me like an endless battle
Butt Samsung had its own cases a cross complaint. So they could say that Sam chopped apple and that apple used Sammy patents without permission

No, they both can win and lose. Its up to the jury to decide on what, 700 questions if I'm not mistaken. Samsung has a countersuit in the same trial.

It would likely be like the korean outcome. Both banned both paying compensation.

For samsung its bye bye to bounceback for apple its a bit more difficult as they infringed telecoms related patents.

Apple Preliminary Injunction list (Skyrocket Included)

Just to add more apple-hate... The skyrocket is on the list they want to halt sales of. What does that mean for existing customers??

Nothing. If you already own it, you're fine. It just means, if its granted that is, no more Skyrockets will be allowed to be imported into the states. Retailers will be allowed to sell off their remaining stock, but their stock won't be replenished.

How about an insured owner that puts in a claim for a new rocket? That's the scenario that worries me if the injunction goes through
Still nothing. Insurance claims would still be honored. This would only be for new sales.
There's a slight difference, if the phone is discontinued they will provide you with a similar or upgraded phone.
This happened to 1 of the phones on my account. Put in a claim to find out they couldn't replace it with the same model but they sent me the upgraded model free of charge and was still able to keep my original upgrade date which was 6 months later.

That's what I just had in mind based on the posts above. Doubt this will go through though. Perhaps a rushed JB build though.

If this goes through, I'm literally going to explode. I know Samsung will once again top Apple in the bear future. When you see an apple fan boy trying to prove that iPhones are better he/she says "just wait for the iPhone 5", but we know it won't take Samsung very long to top it. Apple makes phones only about once every two years. And the "new" phone is usually just the same phone you already had, just in a different color/with one or two additional non-groundbreaking features. Samsung is always putting out new phones, and if Samsung doesn't beat apple then HTC or Motorola will. Apple's flaw is making the same phone over ans over again so when the newest one comes out your old one is soon rendered inferior. When Samsung started making the LTE GS2, the standard GS2 still was just as durable. Samsung made the S3, and the S2 certainly isn't surpassed by it. And Samsung has a variety of phones available. With apple you only get the 1, 2, 3, or 4, but why would you get an older model iPhone? The newest one is exactly the same with an improved display and is slightly thinner.
Sorry for the rant, but this whole Apple suit has had me pissed off.

This will be overturned. The foreman was a patent holder: should not have been selected.
They also didn't even read the instructions. The damages were calculated because they wanted to punish Samsung, not compensate Apple.
Also, read up on this one court case... I can't remember the name right now. It's Someone v Borland.
EDIT: Lotus v Borland

Yes, multi-window, smart stay, S beam are all available on the S IV. Very unnecessary thread though.
then have a mod delete it...I was just happy to see the thing in person

I think the thread is necessary. It's nice to see the actual phone up and ready for a carrier. Means we're that much closer to it being released.
So thanks!

unlike Verizon, there is no branding on the front of the phone... its exactly like the gs3 in that logos are on the back...

Why couldn't it be the international, Sprint, or T-Mobile variant? Just because it isn't Verizon-branded doesn't mean it's AT&T's. I mean, I hope it is, but I really doubt it.

this is a picture I took...the connection to wifi is because ATT phones automatically connect to ATT hotspots so u can't see the 4G logo to verify...this was at an ATT store in Durham, NC where I'm at for training on the new BB Z10
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
I hope that means that the ridiculous logo that pops up letting u know ur using an ATT hotspot is gone...or maybe this isn't the retail version. we didnt get to touch the phone, he simply displayed it for customers and of course he kept his mouth shut about release dates...

Pretty sure I can't believe this until you take a picture of the back of the phone which should have an AT&T branding.

Projector phone

A year or two back I recall an ad, I believe it was Samsung, for a phone that had a projector function. The ad showed young people displaying video on a caravan I think. Don't see that anymore, what happened? Technology too poor? Never caught on with consumers? Why? Just curious.

The phone would become bulky if there is a projector function in it. Plus, no one seems really interested in that feature in Mobile phones, maybe that's why they've stopped it.
The phone you talk about is called the Samsung Galaxy Beam. The phone doesn't have a big audience and not many people are not yet interested in this type of tech and after personally holding one in my hands it is way to bulky and fat compared to the newer phones.

Probably because it didn't create as many sales for it to be up for consideration for a successor.

How well did the projector in it work? I thought that it might not produce enough luminance to be useful and that is why it tanked.

Well it was okay as I only got to play around with it for a few minutes in a shop. But it seemed that the luminance was a bit too low when you are in a lot up area but overall seemed to be a good phone.

Never saw that one - I've seen that Brookstone has a pocket project for iPhone. Not sure how good it is though. Looks a little bulky for carrying around in your pocket though.
There was a surge in pocket projectors main manufacturer was Pico I believe. The Lumens output were limited but, in darkened areas they are OK but, expensive in comparison. A decent small projector around £400 the Pico projectors around £250. For the size and capabilities they weren't really justified in many people's opinions.
As for the phone, as already advised it is the Galaxy Beam. I think though it was only available in South Korea
