Thank for the link but i had read that earlyer and appears for firmware of a differnt build to mine
If you're sure that method doesn't work the only option would be a downgrade-root-upgrade method.

But replace the things with Xperia J ftf's etc. Should work.
hello friend. i have xperia tipo single sim , and i am not able to root my tipo using "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v13" so what can i do ? i have 11.0.A.4.27 build number. any suggestion ..................
I didnt try rooting that version and no info with *.bat but You can try ' Unlock root ' or e-root (japans made)..

Next time use the "search" feature of this site.
To root the newer Tipo firmwares .4.22 and after, use UnlockRoot tool.
It's free, safe, and works guaranteed.

search in google "unlockroot" and download the program unlockroot ... i tried it on my miro and it worked

and i notice that the step by step procedure that after installing the ROM, i must also install the update package for st25a
but my device (sony xperia u model is st25i, Build number 6.1.1.B.1.54), is it ok to install that update package?the st25a?

pls help me developers.....i want to instal a custom rom (AVD) to my rooted bootloader locked xperia j.....i read this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/development/st26i-dark-moon-avd-rom-4-1-2-v1-6-t2309415 and downloaded all the files what the authour has said...now i have moved those files to my sd card....i donno what to do next....pls help me developers for installing the custom rom....i cant understand the steps...pls developers explain clearly about how to install the custom rom on my xperia j .......pls pls pls..........sorry for bad english.....
