ATT One X 2.20 with 1.14 HBOOT
Xfactored, flashed TWRP recovery and tried flash SuperSU.
The terminal shows unable to mount /data error.
Tried to go ahead and flashes other roms but hang and bootloop. Installed boot.img separately and it did not help.
Now flashed 2.20 RUU again and back on the same unable to mount /data error.
Please help.
UPDATE: Tried RUU again and works now. Still do not know the reason. Please ignore my message.

Hello,
yesterday I installed Jelly Bean and wanted to revert it back to the latest RUU. I wiped everything, I did even a factory reset but RUU tells me always error 170 usb not connected.
TWRP and CWMT can't mount /sdcard as a lunvfile is missing. And I am sitting here about 10hrs trying to repair this phone. I have relocked it of course for RUU.
And I can't flash any update.zip via fastboot as it tells my that the signature check fails.

Hello first flash phone stock boot img. Then find ALL in One kit 1.0 for htc one s you can find it in google or on forum, and flash stock recovery via this tool. Boot your phone in recovey and clean strage and factory data reset. After this flash custom recovey( in my case TWRP let me to mount sd card) In TWRP mount sd card and push your rom in to sc card via adb.
Later i can do tutorial step by step just let me know. My phone was turning only to bootloader or recovey, but sdcard was not mounted. RUU was showing error all the time. Its take me 7 hours to fix it

Flash run from fastboot screen.
You must have stock recovery to flash it.
I followed the steps from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952038
I successfully unlocked my phone and installed TWRP recovery, but that's as far as I can get. I tried to flash the latest CM10 nightly but hit an error when I run the zip, saying that the MD5 file is not found. I also tried to separately flash the boot.img from the CM10 zip, but it didn't help.
I've cleared my cache and factory wiped (through recovery), but I'm still stuck in the boot loop and can't get to the OS. Please help!!
I think the problem might be that I never actually rooted the phone, despite having unlocked it. Is there a way to root my phone via recovery, since I can't actually boot into it?
I tried to install RebelMod, but i hit an error saying "Unable to mount /data" -- I'm assuming that's because it's unrooted?
you want to root a stock ROM?
flash superuser downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
update: i managed to flash RebelMod successfully (according to TWRC) by running the zip file, but I'm still stuck in the boot loop even after doing a Factory Reset thru TWRC.
am I missing something?
wait a sec -- I got it working after I flashed the boot.img with fastboot.
Whenever I flash TWRP with the AIO Toolkit from Hasoon2000, TWRP recovery will load, but the internal SD (/data/media) is blank. The files are there when it boots to the system, but they're not showing up in TWRP. CWM won't boot at all when flashed (it just goes to back to fastboot). I tried flashing the generic TWRP in the AIO Toolkit and the Sprint version, both seem to behave the same. Also if I try to flash a ROM, it always fails (CM fails immediately, Viper installs then says failed, InsertCoin says it succeeded, but then it never boots). I tried flashing TWRP 2.7.1.0 as downloaded from the TWRP website and it won't flash ("BootMagic failed" error). And GooManager doesn't find the right file to flash for my M8. Does anyone know how to fix this? I like the stock ROM alright, but I want to try some others. Oh, also when I try to do a backup it fails, saying it can't mount /data/media.
FIXED!
Flashed the 2.16 H-boot onto my one S With S-OFF and CID:11111111 H-boot flashed fine can still get into h boot then flashed TWRP but can't access internal storage to flash a new rom when i try copy over in windows i get can't copy device is either disconnected or not responding but i can still look at the storage.
In TWRP I get E: Unable to find storage to mount to USB and sideload doesn't work.
I can boot into cm11 which was previously installed but not storage access at all when booted up.
Tried flashing stock recovery and wiping tried wiping everything now i'm stuck.
solution?

If you can boot into the OS or at least get adb to work. I was able to adb push a zip to twrp folder on internal storage and flash it was a new rom and it fixed the storage thing for me
I tried to restore a twrp backup but something went wrong and the phone get stuck on the HTC logo.then I tried one more time to restore the backup but twrp recovery gave me some errors like unable to mount int_sd,unable to mount system, unable to mount data and so on.in twrp I can see that int_sd is 0MB. If i try to reboot from recovery i get a messagge no OS installed.are you sure you want to reboot? I am S-Off ,have the bootloader unlocked.fastboot works but can't install nothing because of the ''unable to mount int_sd'' error.ADB doesn't work because I don't have an OS installed.I search on xda but i don't found a solution...
A RUU seems to be the best way for you.
Downgrade your hboot and flash the RUU, all written in this guide here.
Good luck.

It seems that I can't even downgrade my hboot.when I reboot into bootloader and press vol + I get this error message
''Parsing...(SD ZIP),Reset HTC debug flag...,(1) Bootloader -Fail-PU,Partition update fail.Press power to reboot.
I also tried supercid but without success.
