I saw the new Galaxy Nexus on the Google Store; how does this compare to the Skyrocket? I've just been thinking what phone I will want to upgrade to next. Should I wait for the Galaxy S3? I'm bad at keeping up with phones and was just wondering what the natural next upgrade from a Skyrocket will be. I've found I don't particularly like the large size of the phone, it's low resolution, and especially the Samsung bloatware (I'm using a Custom ROM so I don't have to worry about it anymore but I still don't like it being on there to begin with).
Perhaps you could join this conversation in one of the 2-3 already existing threads, instead of everyone making new ones every 10 minutes.

Don't mine x, he's usually very helpful. He gets grumpy in his cage though when he isn't fed.
As a new user the best advice I can give u is to search before posting anything new in a thread, whether it be for discussions purposes, or posing a question. Searching first is rule 1 of xda, which u agreed to when u signed up

I know to search, I read the rules. I didn't know what to search for because my question is a bit more tailored. It's not just Galaxy Nexus vs. Skyrocket. But anyways... yeah...

Im looking for a fully working,stable, stock sense 4 ROM of the htc One X but has already been updated to JellyBean, like the international version.
Is there any ROM like this out now?
Also, whats the best, easiest to follow guide to root this device?
Someone save me the hassle of searching through the forums with only a click on a touchpad to navigate with (broken+ no mouse atm).

You know whats more annoying?Those REPEATED replies you get on threads talking about how its the same repeated questions again.
Let me break it to you, You aint helping with your repeated insults or whatnot.
It's not like if you say "oh this thread again" or whatnot, the thread will dissappear.
If you're so annoyed at these repeated threads which you know will periodically occur, then IGNORE IT and dont post.
I find threads all the time like that by googling, and what do you see ?Those same repeated annoying replies which arent contributing to the thread, even though the thread's been repeated.

Not really. Not trying to start a pointless internet fight here, but all you could had done was browse the first page of the Dev section and you would have had the answer you desire.
We have a port right now, but it's more or less something to flash on your phone just to see if it works for a few minutes.Then afterwards go back to the rom you just backed up.

Really? Hmmm....yep there was tons of sense 4+ roms here and they just disappeared....no if you simply searched Google or read a little bit for like two mins maybe less you'd realize only the intl one x has jb with sense and we don't have any leaks yet.......
Someone is porting sense 4.5 from the droid DNA tho. But it's very unstable at the moment

I have read and realize that only the One X and not the One XL has a JB with sense. What i am asking is what are waiting for (ex a leak, a port). I see you have answered that, but could have just answered with out the the silliness.

I'm sorry if I came off a little rude but like Elvis said only so many threads on the sane topic can a sane man take until he gets to become a curmudgeon on that basis...and also.as stated its just kind of a preview Rom but newtoroot did port. Senses 4.5 jb Rom but.only a couple things working but porting a diff Rom is not.easy especially without the kernel modules

I find the Search function at xda works quite well. I use it all the time and usually find what I'm looking for.
Yeah, there is a lot to read, but that's what we do here: We read and research before asking questions that have been answered 100 times already.
There's a good reason why the forum rules ask people to search first: Starting a new thread when there are already others on the same subject just makes it harder for the next guy to find what he needs to know. So by not doing that, they're exacerbating the very problem you're complaining about here.

See xda has this feature when you try to make a post it takes you title and compares it to similar posts to try and prevent double posting. People just need to pay attention to that

Hi guys, I installed CleanRom 7.0 on my HTC One X yesterday, and it has restarted by itself 2 times now, I know there was a bug with CleanROM 6.5 that if you had wireless activated, this COULD happen (not too often though), but with this new release (7.0) I didn't even have the wireless on and still the phone restarted.
Do you guys know what could be the problem?

To be completely honest, I could not find the exact same problem for my phone and the ROM that I am using in any forum, but if this has been asked and answered a lot of times, could you tell me the answer once again so I can fix this problem?

How could you not find the answer? You literally can not go through any more than a few pages in the Cleanrom thread without finding this issue (and the fix) reported. Redpoint even told you exactly where to look in his post, in the time it took you to ask him for the answer again you could have found it yourself. One of the most important rules of XDA is to search before posting. This thread is yet another one to add to the ever growing, ridiculous stack of unnecessary threads which would have been avoided if the OP simply searched properly.

Don't know why you get so mad... as the other guy said in the post below, he EDITED his previous post while I was posting my reply, after I read his edit, I went and search for the problem, which I found it exactly where he told me, so now it seems that my phone is working again.
Anyway, thanks for you answers, I did manage to fix my phone with your replies...
I didn't get mad. The point was that you can't have searched very hard because as I said the answer is plastered all over every single Sense 5 ROM thread in this forum. Even without Redpoint's directions it should have been easy to find. The point is to do the searching before the posting, as I said it's part of the rules and is your responsibility as a member of XDA.

I agree with all timmaaa said. I was feeling charitable when telling the OP exactly where to find the answer. Really, it does no good for us lead folks by the nose to the answers that they could have easily found themselves.
There is a wealth of info for the taking on XDA, without folks having to ask the same questions over and over.

A lot of people ordered them, but from what I can find I don't see anything in regards to slim fit or "barely there" stuff.

1.Google hasn't shipped them yet and the soonest they will is 10/27. If you read the other OP about the Google cases you would know this....
2. Yes people are buying this case including myself. Again read the other Google case OP it contains the exact same information
3. No one has any cases yet besides ones made with the wrong cutouts so again you need to wait and read the other OPs... It's in the forum rules that you need to search before creating a new OP
Lastly I'm reporting this post so the Mods can close it
As mentioned, there is a dedicated thread on cases, and other existing threads. No need for more threads that are just questions.
