Windows mobile-enabled chinese phone ROM update

Good day! Greetings to all the wonderful members of xda-developers. It's been a while since I visited the forum.
Would like to know if anyone have had made modification for a windows-mobile enabled chinese phone. I have seen that market is flooded with such devices. Would like to know more how this can be customized. I have been doing "cooking" with ROMS for my own device. Wanted to know if it is posible with the chinese phone as well.
Any feedback is appreciated. TIA!
I have a CECT T32, it's a chinese iClone running WinMo 6. ... there doesn't seem to be ANY help on this forum regarding this particular unit or any other cheap chinese copies. I've been hunting around here trying to learn about all this ROM business but ther eseems to be some differences between devices so I'm having trouble applying it to my device. You could try hiphonepro.com ... they supports many chinese clones .. just not the one I have. No one has cracked the t32 yet.... shame, it's a pretty sweet unit.

Android into ACER/ETEN DX900

Hi, I want to ask, whether anybody knows, that is possible to load android to ACER/ETEN DX900, and if yes, where I can found ROM for it. thanks
Possible? Yes, it's possible.
Is there a ROM? Nope, no one has developed a ROM yet.
Is it easy? No. People have been working on a port for the Kaiser since Android was first released to beta. After all that time, and on as popular a device as the Kaiser, it's still not working fully. It's take easily as long to develop it for the DX900.
Hello!
Are there any news regarding Acer / Eten DX900 Porting? Was someone able to get Android working on DX900?
Acer Dx900 Windows mobile phone with android ROM ?
Same question here ? This Acer Dx900 Windows mobile phone is useless but it can accept 2 sim cards at the same time, so I'd like to make it less useless with Android
$$$ Donation for interested Developers
Also looking for Android ROM for ACER DX900. Maybe if those ACER DX900 owners can provide donations to the developers, it would most likely get done sooner than never. If we have enough number and contribute an amount of USD10 each, it would a substantial benefit and rewards to the time and effort of the developers

[Q] Creating Mobile OS

Hello all
first of all , i m new to this forum.
Well i m looking forward to develop a mobile operating system, maybe a small one, with limited functionalities, but i want to get started with my own custom mobile OS,
doesnt matter if it is based on linux kernal or my custom kernal..
i just want to know what do you guys suggest in order to get started and pre requisites for developing an OS, and other related stuff..
because for now, its just an idea to me.
b.t.w i hv stronge grip over C, C#, Java, Php, Little bit of assembly and Microprocessor architecures and other related stuff.. and yeah basic knowledge of OS Designs..
so any help would be very beneficial for me.
looking forward to hear from you soon.
I recommend a visiting an OS developer forum.
Use plain C (gcc) for best results and look up some OS code for machine dependent parts.Try to find out your CPU and get developer manuals and spec updates from the chip manufacturer. You need a lot of time for debugging.
I recommend a visiting an OS developer forum.

Hello,
I am looking to buy a new Tablet, and I'm kinda noob about this things.
I am a student so the most important things are
Word, PowerPoint, Pdf's and programming the basic C (not necessarily).
But I am looking for a strong tablet that can play movies and music.
Flash is very important (no ipad).
Thanks in advance,
Tal Glantz
I'm thinking about buying a EEE Transformer. In my opinion the best tab.

Pretty much all Android Tablets that have Android 2.1+ and a ARMv7 or better processor could do everything you want.
Android tablets can technically do programming but Android doesn't have any good programming tools atm.
If money is not a concern, I'd advise you to buy a Windows 7 tablet which runs at around 500$.
I sugest the 10.1 or the Asus Transformer. Doesnt get any better.

There are only a handful of these. You'll have to look around a bit. Google for for Windows 7 tablets. But, don't buy any of the Chinese ones. Viewsonic has some tablets which dual-boot Win7 and Android.
It all boils down onto your budget, where you live and your personal preferences. There is a i5 tablet around but it runs at around 1200$ which is an over-kill but could be a cool gadget if you have the cash.

[Useless] Best smart phone for porting MaruOS? (And how to start)

Hi,
I am due to purchase new smartphone and interested in Maru OS. Most probably I am looking at devices from Xiaomi, Innjoo or Oppo (due to spec-to-cost ratio) depending how much friendly it is for porting Maru OS.
1) Can anyone advise which will be the best device for this purpose? I understand major problem will come due to non-availability / locked bootlooders, drivers and working kernel.
2) Also, I am not experienced in mobile development and not a pro/full-time programmer (but can learn as I have been using Gentoo and Arch Linux, plus studied programming during school days), if anyone experienced can help me in getting started, it will be a good start for me.
Thank you.
EDIT:
Marked 'Useless' ... thanks to everyone for not responding.
^bump
If no one is interested in responding to OP, can anyone point me to how to extract device drivers from stock ROM for use with custom ROM I intend to compile? [I mean use working ROM as a base then customize it for Maru OS adoption].
