Hear ye, hear ye! I've started porting CyanogenMod 10.1 to the Galaxy Tab Plus. While most things are working quite well, there are still many bugs and it's not ready to be a daily driver. CyanogenMod 10.1 itself is still in a state of serious development.
Do not flash this unless you know how to backup your data and especially unless you know how to get back to stock. If you don't already know how to do this, you might want to familiarize yourself with the process now, while the other developers and I get CM10.1 to a more "daily driver" state. I don't have time to help n00bs unbrick their devices. No offense!
Known issues:
USB mounting of internal storage doesn't work (and probably never will). The internal SD card is not a separate partition, and is mounted internally using FUSE. There is no way to mount that via USB at this time (not even in stock). Blame Google.
HDMI out doesn't work (no chance, sorry)
IR Blaster doesn't work (no chance, sorry)
Playback of DivX / Xvid MPEG4 videos using the Android video player (MX Player or BS Player work fine though)
Mounting removable SDcard as mass storage on the computer
Bluetooth (Android 4.2 has a completely new bluetooth stack... might never work for us due to our using a CSR chipset)
Phone calls are crashy

Works so far, great.
Issues noticed:
No ipv6 on my WiFi (at least the status app doesn't show).
That wipe keyboard feature doesn't work for me.
Editing build.prop for changing DPI wasn't allowed, do we have root?
Still exploring, not complaining!
Thanks, greetings, Stefan
PS: and xda app hangs
Edit: after gapps keyboard works now. And xda as well after logout/login.
Downloading... Thanks Aorth !
thanks a lot... downloading now
Working well so far on the 6210.
Note - The 6210 download link posted is actually for the 6200. I downloaded it by going to the 6210 directory.
Thanks aorth!
Wrong Link,....
Hello Aorth,....Thank you so much for the 4.2.1 ROM. Great job!!! But, your link for the GT-P6210 is wrong. It keeps downloading GT-P6200's link. I had to go directly to goo.im.com manually. This is just a heads up,..it is working great!!! Thanks for your hard work.!!!
Everything works fine for me. The browser seems faster, more stable and has better html5 video support.
Here is my first report :
Screenshot doesn't work
Phone is kinda funky. I can't make calls in portrait mode and I'm stuck on call screen even when I've finished.

ICS AOSP Port for Folio 100 - ICS Mobile UI Test
This video shows how ICS Mobile UI looks like but it isn't near this one and some heavily framework modification have to be done if you want this UI on this ICS port

ICS AOSP Port for Folio 100 - ICS Tablet UI Test
These two videos show ICS Tablet UI, one in 160dpi and another in 120dpi and it's similar to HC UI. It isn't that far from this one but it'll need some framework changes if user want UI like this
Installing via fastboot:
1. Download ICS build below
2. Unpack it in some empty directory(or make one) and set up fastboot if you didn't
3. Open terminal and type:
Code:
fastboot flashall -w reboot
4. Wait for booting to finish and ROCK OUT!!!

-A lot more...
Don't forget to press thanks button if you like my work!!!
Some users want to donate when alpha is released and because that I'll make donate account in January 2012.
Donate in euro please. Money won't be used for buying a beer like many other users do nor it will be used for buying new device or saving for further schooling depending on sum that I get on this as well as other projects that I'm planning to start.
NOTE: I'm not forcing anyone to donate. Just pressing thanks button will say that you're supporting me and like my work but donating will motivate me too
NOTE: Alpha will be released when I get this working:

EDIT: I'll upload build when I do some edits in ramdisk and probably when(if) nopy compile kernel for me because I have some problems with that or wifi/bluetooth get working
EDIT2: I edited ramdisk and added some files for wifi(maybe bluetooth too) and it seems to load up but I somehow messed up something and mouse isn't working now...
EDIT3: Mouse fixed
EDIT4: Nothing for wifi and I didn't try to set bluetooth yet
EDIT5: Change some wifi related files and now I get this (it should be something with hardware_legacy)
EDIT6: Tried on CM way but stuck on driver loading
EDIT7: Nopy sent me kernel and with some small ramdisk modifications TOUCHSCREEN WORKS!!!
EDIT8: Bluetooth log:
E/bluedroid( 161): open(/sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state) for write failed: Permission denied (13)
E/BluetoothAdapterStateMachine( 161): failed to prepare bluetooth, abort turning on

Problem is permission
EDIT9: Found staorage(internal and external) fix!!!
EDIT10: I compiled audio binary from here(post 229) but I can't play any song because music players can't load any audio file(even not from system directory) and setting won't output any audio after setting up notification sound
EDIT11: I successfully mounted sdcard via vold
EDIT12: I'm planing to make a video of my build and find out why wifi isn't working...oh and one incredibly thing:
It last 2 days in hibernation with only 20% of battery!!!
EDIT13: I tried many su binaries but all of them output that permissions are granded but app said that it didn't get them and in log it said that app is denied
EDIT14: I think that wifi module path have to be added in libhardware_legacy to get wifi working
EDIT15: Downloaded 4.0.3 source and for now I'm dealing with some device tree bugs-it'll be released when I finish it and do some more clean up
Thank you sir.
Good Job.
This is mighty impressive! Since I'm just a normal user I'll refrain from trying it, but good work and I'll be looking forward to the results )

No, the kernel don't fix audio, it's frameworks patch that fix it.
Ive been watching the progress..
your the greatest!!!!!! Keeping our Folio alive
Just one thing i would like to ask.
If possible try and make full support for flash player with this rom
For me that would be the cherry on top kind stuff )
Have tried several including cm7 and Folio3xx v0.4 and none gives me full Flash player support and i need to watch live streaming such as twitchtv or justintv live streams.
The one and only i still use is FolioMod 1.4 and the only that has full flash
support
Thanks for the great job your doing

Wow!! Good to see ICS on folio. Will be great if this gets going!!
Nice. Your CM port is smother than mine AOSP. Good job!
Excellent man, good to see that someone brings to life the Folio
Uploading build but it isn't as smooth as nopy's one because:
Firstly, he's more experienced user as well as dev and I'm only very young and want to learn as well as android fanatic
Secondly, ICS AOSP source code isn't full yet and some thing are missing but CM is fixing that errors and build should be more completely than AOSP one. I found rotation and camera solution(saw from nopy's git) but I don't know how to add some lines(I added but wrong and I get errors that like wrong end that's easy to fix with some ordinary C knowledge that I don't have)

So without sources, compiling and tests, how can you build drivers?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using XDA
Hi! Wazzup?
Sorry for not being participated in current development.
I have to say that you're unlikely to build CM9 following my instructions mentioned before. I'll try to write a new one.
So, you might be asking how does compiling by yourself will help with camera development? Well, I have built several drivers from different phones, and none of them actually loaded.
When I tried to do logcat I just got something like "Camera module not loaded" that is possibly happened because some of functions that need to be implemented into driver - were not implemented. But I've met some compiled drivers that loaded successfully but didn't work because, as I suppose, have inappropriate combination of some parameters (e.g. refresh rate). Unfortunately I haven't manage to find their sources.
So what can you do? You can try to build different camera drivers, put the resulting module as "/system/modules/hw/camera.ariesve.so", start logcat and try to run Camera app. If logcat shows something more about camera that just "Camera module not loaded" - just post it in this thread. It will be strarting point.
Of course, there is a harder way - try to implement everything by yourself, but it's way more complicated that previous step.

Sorry for not being participated in current development.
I have to say that you're unlikely to build CM9 following my instructions mentioned before. I'll try to write a new one.

Something like this? It's from this kernel.
As you can see, module can't be loaded, because there are missing functions in library 'libcamera.so' (in logcat you can see one, but I bet, there are more).

Great. Lets get this started.
Mobile network could be because of new CM changes. Do you have hardware/samsung/ checked out and opensource libril and libsecril-client built? Regarding the vold problem, check what Grarak mentioned.
Sent from my LG-P880
Thank you guys! @Adam77Root: Yep! It is present, i have compiled manually that folder and moved the files, but still network is not up..
@Grarak: Nice point, will try that too.. But it need fresh compilation and it will take time.. So before doing that, i will just sync the repo again and give a try..
Just tried the options in Resurrection Remix, Theme chooser is force closing.. will see that later..
What does 'logcat -b radio' tell?

Thanks adam! I forgot to put the logcat -b radio.. It missed libsec-ril.so, added it and now network is working fine... From terminal if i execute vold, then it is identyfing the sdcard and extSdcard..
@thatechnocrat: don't worry buddy, i will fix the issue. You concentrate on kernel, which is pending from your side for long time..

[DESIRE HD NOKIA X PORT]
I've decided to open a new thread, especially since the previous thread is discontinued. I wanted to highlight progress is very much being made on the Nokia X port for the Desire HD.
When I mention progress, the build boots now; As I've re-based, re-structured and circumvented the issue's preventing a boot.
That's not to say this ROM is functional as a daily driver in it's current status, as it is quite the opposite.
However great strides are being made and success comes with the cost of time, effort and dedication from our developers.
This thread is open now as an invitation to ANY developer that:
1) is interested in this project
2) capable of pushing the project forward in effort to solve existing bugs
3) willing to spare their time to aid development.
As it stands I've done all the leg work getting the build to boot, and only since then I've had some assistance from a couple of sources in solving a few other issues in build.

Developer Activity Status:
At the moment I'm getting some priceless help in patching MSimTelephony references in build from another XDA Dev here, doing wonderful work and I anticipate that we can in fact succeed in a functional port in the near future.
Thus far our current efforts are focused on fixing radio, data and ril so bare with our current working/non-working log below...
(as a result of the above SystemUI is now beginning to respond as should, albeit a few flaws which are actively being ironed out)

Yup, this is a DEV thread. Still lots too fix i.e. would like a dev collaboration since I've spent a lot of hours getting us to this point and feel it would be less stressful on me having some more capable hands in the kitchen.
OK NokiaX isn't dependent on ION so I rebuilt with correct kernel, modules, hw and added libraries from our 4.1.2 build however audio is NOT getting loaded for some reason. As far as I'm aware __strlen_chk is referenced at libc.so and libcrypto.so however I've replaced these libraries with that from a functional 4.1.2 build of ours and it's still not loading. Any devs here encountered this? If so which libraries are associated with it?
Code:
E/HAL ( 1424): load: module=/system/lib/hw/audio_policy.default.so
E/HAL ( 1424): Cannot load library: reloc_library[1331]: 1424 cannot locate '__strlen_chk'...
I think we have the same problem with sense 5 too

Not just yet, but we haven't finished tracing, debugging and adding Telephony calls to our wrapper. By all mean's not a quick process and ended up being a late night, I'm still wearing my sleepy face aha.
Telephony isn't registering a network as we've intentionally left methods out for the time being as there is more patching to do to SystemUI in regards to directing our new calls. More to continue tonight I imagine so all on your list is a nono for the time being.
If you can give me the files of the ROM I an take a shot in fixing the Storage issue as I am experienced in porting and specifically fixing this bug Have a nice day bro.

How To Install:
Download the rom and move it to your sdcard
after that boot into your recovery (vol- + 3d + power)
make a backup of your old rom
flash the new rom
theoreticaly you can flash this over your ics without wiping data and cache so all your apps and data are staying.
if you have problems after install without wipe, pls make a factory reset
if a app wont start after upgrading, reinstall it

just to add, i don't know if this will help with the graphics glitches but here you go,
Webview graphic glitches finally fixed in CM11
gpu: Refactor GpuMemoryBuffer framework for multi-process support.

this is from galaxy nexus forum,
and @aosp.
hey guys. click the "tip us" bottom on the top of the thread and maybe this will make it to the xda portal and we will get more help!
Amazing!
This sounds great!
I would love to see a decent version of kitkat working for our good 'ol O3D
Especially since it has RAM-optimisations
Is this CM-based or stock?
You should probably skip the 3D until the very end,
and get SD-card, bluetooth and wifi working first.
I'll see if I can get this rom booted

Done!
Come on guys, show your support and hit that button.
This is a big accomplishment, especially with having only two devs hear @troopii and @bernie987654321.

i did it too
hope that the bugs get fixed faster
so I noticed there is no vold.fstab in /system/etc. How does the mounting get done in kitkat?
Good news. am sure the rest of features is just matter of time to implement.
Thanks to all involved, our 3d will continue to thrive, can't say the same for LG who's support has been very bad.

then your build have same bug too because he used yours device tree
Works great!
Very nice rom!
(It's probably CM-based)
here are the gapps I chose the mini modular for 4.4.2 and it works fine.
(you do need to update google play services though...)
And you need to keep in mind that you're using your mobile data connection instead of Wi-Fi...
A few things I noticed:
RAM usage is quite high (no more than ~60MB free, often less)
flashlight works
SMS works
I have yet to encounter a bug which isn't mentioned here
It is already significantly faster than the MIUI rom...
Great job, Troopii!
Keep on going!
P.S. let me suggest Wi-Fi as a first priority and bluetooth & camera as second
ok tried editing kernel still nothing
Omg great work guys. Im getting depressed that my 925 died on me randomly. Hopefully lg will make the repairs cheap!

Could I use berni's method to dualboot another rom from sdcard?
Because I really want to see this through (who expected this, really? LG didn't...)
And help in any way I can by testing etc. (I could help translate to dutch if necessary)
But I need my bluetooth for tethering to my tablet (wifi would work as well, of course)
And my data limit isn't *that* big that I can stream an infinite amount of videos
