2450mah gold stock fit battery for $6.50 shipped... - G2 and Desire Z Accessories

Anyone buy one of these? Seems a bit too good to be true... or maybe theyre just cheap to get rid of them since the G2 is aging?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261107435027?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Name they have always been around that price, they seem to be hit or miss, never trully what they claim to be
Sometimes you'll get one that is better than stock that stays that way for a year, sometimes they start out good then deteriorate quickly.
I find anker and mugen make the best after market ones, better then stock anyway. Or there are phones that use the same size batteries as ours only 1500 mah or so, I think some evo model.
Check other threads in here, tons on batteries, for your answer, mine is go with anker for the price

I bought the same exact battery via dealextreme [1], and as my suspicion was, it's a standard 1300mAh battery. I figured I would give it a try for just the $1 difference from the same type of battery [2], with only 1500mAh (which was also 1300mAh as stated in the comments).
Anyway, it's a decent battery regardless of the fake capacity that it claims to have. It has real temperature readings which was something that I didn't expect.
YMMV, though

Looks like the same battery I reviewed at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955706
It didn't test out at 2450 but the battery app did show mine to be ~1850mAh which was still enough of an improvement to be noticeable in regular usage.

I buy a couple of this battery, first test with nova battery tester 603 mAh, second test 766mAh
less than oem battery

Haven't tried it before, but I think that Mugen 1800 is pretty good.

[Q] Anybody bought Extended Slim Battery 1980 mAh

Hello Everybody
I am looking to buying the following battery
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-G2X-Opti...ccessories&hash=item2eb6f543db#ht_2178wt_1270
I don't want to sacrifice the sleek look of my mobile phone by buying 1350 mAh or 1450 mAh huge batteries.
Anybody bought these kind of batteries already ?
Do you find noticeable difference in run-time ?
That's the one I saw on ebay.
The thing I notice that the slim batteries that are larger in capacity than the stock batteries are more in price than the larger capacity and fatter batteries with a bigger back cover.
I wonder what is that???
I going to order next payday to try it out.
If you get it before I do. Let me know how it worked out for you.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
I do not think this is going to be any better than stock battery. Better to go with the fat one. You will at least get 2000 to 2200 mAh out of those for $10.
I have had that Andida battery for a couple of months now. Never any problems with it, and I would say I probably get somewhere between 30 minutes-2 hours extra charge over the stock battery, depending on what kind of usage, obviously. It feels noticeably thicker/denser than the stock battery. It fits inside with the normal cover, but you can tell it's a tighter fit. I also charge it sometimes on the spare port of my desk dock, and it's a tighter fit there, as well. And a bit heavier.
I won't make any claims of whether it's actuallyt 1980 or not...but it's a good battery...at least mine has been good to me. Nothing "night and day" that you're gonna convert religions over, but if you're looking for a second battery anyway, it's definitely worth it.
Generally, it's seemed like people with the Andida 1980 mAh battery have gotten an extra hour or two more over the OEM.
Buy it from here instead, only $9.

Thanks for posting that obostore link...when I clicked the OP's ebay link, I was pretty sure I didn't pay anything near $29, but it's been a while and I"ve bought so many things, I couldn't remember...but it didn't feel right.
$9 from obostore sounds about right...I've bought about 6 cases and other stuff from them, so they are legit. It does take about 2-3 weeks to reach your door from the time you order, since it comes from Hong Kong.

[Q] Mugen VS Anker

Hello Guys,
My question is which battery is the best - Anker 1900 mAh (which actually proved to be around 1700 mAh) or Mugen Power 1950 mAh for Sensation/EVO 3D (not sure of the capacity is real). I have tried to find which battery is the best (even read the entire Anker thread) but I was unable to get a definite answer. I could see that Mugen is twice the money of Anker but it is coming from a well known company and also has temperature sensor. However Anker is a lot cheaper and provides good enough juice for its 15 bucks.
My HTC Sensation costs around $500 so I wouldn't mind giving $40 more for the Mugen battery but if the performance is small compared to the Anker battery I would prefer the latest.
So my question is which one is the best and have anyone tested both of them?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I am in the same predicament, been investigating the topic for a while now and... I guess they're very much alike - you won't find many (if any) people that bought Anker and swapped it for Mugen or vice versa.
The main thing is lack of disappointed people, can't see valid complaints against any of them, therefore my choice will be Anker - just because I a greedy bastard...
I have both and have used both for some time and I can say that the Mugen definately performes better than the Anker. Roughly I'd say that the Anker gives me 10% extra time over the original and the Mugen 25%, yeah it's really that good.
Downside is of course the price, but if you have some money, do buy the Mugen
Thank you atticus182. So it seems that Mugen is significantly better than Anker. Just in case I submitted a ticket with Mugen asking if I could return the battery if it proves to be with less capacity than 1950 mAh. Will let you know when they reply.
DaHorse: If Mugen prove to be real 1950 mAh then the price is justified but I guess I will just have to check it by myself.
Meanwhile if there are other forum members that have tested both batteries?
you can check out this thread to see people's performance in regards to the Mugen battery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1220518
It seems like its pretty definitive that the Mugen will indeed outperform the Anker. the problem is their store is out of stock until december 9th so you can't even get it for a reasonable price until at least then. Also, don't forget about the review done at batteryboss.org in which the reviewer showed that they might not be as great of a brand name as you thought.
As said, my vote goes to the Mugen.
Darn it, just ordered an Anker... Maybe give it a try and then buy the Mugen half december to compare. Didn't spot the Mugen topic btw.
I vouch for mugen too. Mines (htc evo 3d 1950mah) lasts almost a full day on heavy use. Plus the temp sensors work unlike anker.
I have the Mugen and am very happy with it. I used to get home from work with 40 - 45% battery left on stock. Now with the Mugen I have 60 - 65% left

For me there is no real question...I don't know what is Anker...just saw a lot of spamming everywhere on how cheap and cool it is.
I know that I'm a Mugen fan for their quality, service and social presence. When it comes to performance - I'm using Mugen 3300mAh for a year already on my Nexus S and know at least two people with HTC phones who cannot live without their batteries. I don't mind giving extra 30-40$ for good quality, support, warranty and facebook presence for such a niche brand. Mugen rocks!
I already have the Anker and am pretty happy with it but I'm considering getting the Mugen as well. Can't decide though..

Lol if anything your post sounds more like spam. I know mugen is a good brand obviously, but the anker thread is 120+ pages for a reason. not just spam.
also, why do you care about a brand's "social presence"?
Hello my friends,
sorry for my question here but i wouldn´t like to open a new thread for my question.
Also, who can i buy a original Mugen Accu for my Sensation. My original HTC Accu have enough power for me but i like a little bit more and i think Mugen is the best way or does the anker pass to me better?
Yours sincerely

There is no app for that. You need hardware to check the power of the battery.

what about Chichitec? $20 on amazon
I think Chichitec and Anker are almost the same in performance. I'd go for Anker because of its lower price.
I just shelled out for a Mugen battery. Why did I go for Mugen over Anker? Well, the reason is a bit lame, but I just don't feel right buying that sort of thing from (and only from) eBay, of all places...
both types are made in same factory in china?

MOMAX X-Level batteries

As the title says... this topic is going to be about MOMAX X-Level batteries (for the Desire HD, of course). I stumbled upon this item back when I was looking for a battery replacement for my old Desire (didn't get one, just a crappy solar battery which was not holding 2600 mAh, as stated, but barely 800).
So anyway. I found THIS topic while I was searching on Google... for this. I was kind of hoping there was a thread like that for the Desire HD community as well, but, sadly, there isn't.
So... is there anyone here having that battery? Is it any good? Cause on the HD2 thread, everybody seems to be extremely happy about it.
I'm going to replace my battery soon enough, because this 1230 mAh baby... is cripled or something. Even though the MOMAX X-Level battery is of 1150 mAh, people on the HD2 thread still give good feedback, like this battery is god-like.
I'm not going to buy an original HTC one, simply because it's $5 more expensive, and I could use that money, especially if the difference is only of 80 mAh. Also, I have reasons to believe that MOMAX battery is better.
I've had screen protectors and hard cases from MOMAX. They have NOT dissapointed me. X)
I'm going to pay the extra 4 bucks and get an original HTC battery instead of this MOMAX one, due to the lack of warranty it offers.
Still... if there are people that use this battery on this device, I would like to hear some feedback...
i believe amazon has better and bigger batteries than this one and people have reported positive feedback about them
here although this battery seems to be 1500mAh and people have reported that this one lasted 1/3 longer than the original one...i would say this should definitely be considered.
http://www.momax.net/en/Product_Show.aspx?ID=1272&T=1
this one?
since it's only got 20mAh more than stock (and thats only on paper!), i'd also suggest you stick with the original from htc.

No, the 1150 mAh one. I can't get the 1250 mAh in my country, yet.
Anyway, I'll stick to the original one. I trust HTC more than MOMAX, at least when it comes to batteries. MOMAX still does good hard cases & screen protectors, though, but I'd say that's the one & ONLY thing they're very good at.

That's the problem, I can't. The only one I trust, besides OEM, would be Momax. And all those batteries with stuffed capacity... are reported to not last much longer.
Anyway, I got an original one (HTC). I'll see how it performs... after I format it for 3 times -.-

Anybody have any luck with extended batteries? If so what is a good brand to get and where from?

Yes, but is it better than stock? I highly doubt it's actually 1800mAh. If it is, then the Chinese have turned into wizards.
I am currently using these. I just started using it, so not sure how different it will be. I will let you know.
The reviews are kind of hit and miss
I seen one on ebay where you remove the battery cover, and it was a case too. with like a 3500ma or so.
But I like my Otterbox to much.
I'm using an Anker 1600mAh from Amazon. It's noticibly better than the stock battery, but it takes a week of overnight charging to get the most out of it.

I bought an Anker Slimtalk external battery for mine. Going pretty good so far. I can top up my battery when it goes too low in the evening.
I bought an Anker 1600 mAh and actually performs slightly better than stock battery.. maybe It's the Rom maybe not... Because with ICS I got 23 hours with stock and 18 with Anker..

are the really cheap batteries on ebay any good? How do they compare to the original?
I have a Dynapak(I think that's the name) from Amazon and I notice a difference compared to stock. I think I paid $16 when I bought it for two. I believe it says they're 1600 mAh or 1650. I'm happy with it.

Might just be temporary. Even on ebay the seller laptopmate USA (same authorized seller from amazon) raised the price to $67 to keep people from bidding. But they did not remove the auctions. So they will be back.
Hey goat, still got your Eternity? I use mine as an MP3 player now. Just put a new digitizer on it and its like new.
Never actually had the eternity. I had the impression. And yeah I still got it. I had to replace mine also.

Got the 4500mah from Ebay....

It was $10 with free shipping so I thought it was worth a shot... I received it about 2 days ago and I cannot tell the difference between the stock battery..
This sucks!
So yes, obviously I didn't expect it to be 4500 mah for $10 but I thought it will be at least 3200 or 3000. It is not.
I just want to warn others before they buy it and to hear other peoples experiences if there are any.
If you want a decent extended battery, buy the Hyperion.
I have that batt and the matching honeycomb case you can get with it and I love it.
I never have to worry about battery life anymore (even running stuff like iheart radio or Sirius online which both totally kill battery life)
I even like the feel/weight of the phone with it installed. When I bought it, I figured I would only use it occasionally. Now that I am used to using it, I never take it off the phone. The phone with the standard battery and my awesome rock quicksand case feels way too thin to me now (something I never thought I would say)
thanks morton....
I will try to see if I can return this battery.
I looked at amazon for the battery you recommended. I found it but I also found another battery: (I can't post a link)
It's called QCell and it is rated at 4200.
Any thoughts on this one?
The one you recommended is more popular but this one has NFC and it also has much more reviews.
Another thing to consider is the separate cradle battery charger that comes with a 2100 battery. This way there is always a battery on charge for a quick swap.
Weigh it. At the most basic, the amount of active material in a battery determines its overall capacity. A 4500mAh battery should be significantly heavier (roughly double) than the stock battery.
Another vote here for the Hyperion 4000 mAh battery. Very happy with it!!!
