[Q] Notification Bar long press on toggles - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

My ROM(Yonip 5.3.7 Rebirth) already has OEM set settings shortcuts(like GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc) on the top of the notification drawer. I wan't to add long press actions to these bringing up the appropriate settings screen(except for Airplane Mode).
Can anyone help me with what files to edit to enable me to do this?
Thanks in advance!

cm7 lockscreen bluetooth gesture

How can I create a lockscreen gesture to toggle bluetooth on/off? I ca create a gesture to take me to the bluetooth settings but I just want to be able to toggle it on/off from the lockscreen.
Am I blind or is the option not obvious.

I just did some playing around and couldn't seem to find a way to do this either. However, now you've piqued my interest as this would be an awesome thing to be able to do lol
*bump* for anyone that knows how to do this for cm7...
There are a few ways that this could be possible..if I could figure out if there is a way to do them in cm7:
1. Like op suggested, gesture to toggle bluetooth
2. Give access to notification bar on lockscreen so you can toggle on the power control widgets
3. Be able to install a toggle widget on the lockscreen
I know that 2 and 3 are doable with widgetlocker but i'd like to find some intrinsic/native way of cm7 to do it...
If anyone knows any of these methods...please let us know...
It's been a while, have you found any way to do it?
I can think of a silly way.
1. Create 2 apps for enabling and disabling BT.
2. Run each app from home screen with different gistures
What i could find is this.
Gesture to go directly to bluetooth settings. Enable or disable there.
Lockscreen gesture lets you choose a shortcut as the target of the gesture. I have created an app called "Toggle Settings" which exposes toggling Bluetooth and WiFi as system shortcuts. So you install this app and then when setting up the gesture choose shortcut and then choose "Toggle Settings" and choose WiFi or Bluetooth. Potentially other toggleable settings could be added too. you can download it from here: goo.gl/0b6sj

[Q] Create custom Toggle for limit background data

Hi there,
is there already an extension to create a toggle within the default toggels to limit background data?
All the toggle apps I found can switch 3G on/off but not the background data.
If there is no such control already - how to create one? How to access system settings like the "limit background data"?
Will I have to root my phone to create something like this or is this part of the usual api?
I'd like to place this toggle next to the other toggles that are already available - I mean the menu which opens when you swipe down with two fingers from the top of the screen. -> see attachment
Thx for any help on this topic.
Kind regards
Rion

Hi afi1982.
This looks like a good ROM, but 3G does not work on SIM1
It is very smooth, and I like the addition of the softkeys, and the tweaks for same.
Can you fix the 3G issue?
Thx

Hi.
I tried as you asked, but unfortunately I get an error that states:
SIM card info not available.
Menu cannot be accessed
The only option then is to click OK, and then it goes back to the main settings menu..
I like this ROM a lot. I find it very, very fluid.
Texting and telephone calls are OK, call quality is perfect, its just the 3G that does not seem to work...
A little more testing done.
I have no gapps installed yet.
I find some random freezes, like for example plugging in a USB cable. System froze, but I was still able to access filesystem through Windows.
Also, I experience freezing at the SIM lock screen sometimes. It either wont let me enter my SIM lock code, or I can enter the code, but when I hit the enter button, it freezes again.
Enabling the ribbon in the notification drawer seem to make it a little bit sluggish (That was after setting Notification Drawer & background both to 80% transparency, but after disabling ribbon, performance improved again).
Will report back with more if I see anything else.
---------- Post added at 03:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:06 PM ----------
Trying to delete a folder, with files included inside caused it to crash.
Gapps small install, installed from here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
I did a new clean install since last post, installed gapps, enabled dynamic system bars (system and navigation) and gradient on system bar.
Still no 3G.

my 3G connection is working as you can see
I don't know what is wrong, but it doesn't work for me
I'm not trolling you. I really like this ROM, but I experience all the issues outlined above.
I have tried reinstalling at least 3 times already, but 3G doesn't work for me...
Here is a log of my testing so far:
1. So I think all the system freezes are related to the dynamic system bars setting, and more specifically the transparent Navigation Bar.
Once I set that specific setting, I get hard freezing of my phone and I have to take out the battery to resolve the issue.
1a. Using Apex/Nova and not touching dynamic system bars in Settings, is most stable config.
2. I dont know if this is usual for a CM rom, but if I plug the power/USB cable into the phone when it is unpowered, phone starts up automatically and shuts down once I take it out.
3. I dont think it likes GSAM battery monitor. SystemUI issues after installing GSAM...
4. Still no 3G for me (I have done numerous reinstalls)
I have updated TWRP to 2.8.0.0 in the meantime from 2.7.1.0.
Clicking on "Wake Lock Blocking" in Advanced in settings menu causes a hard restart of the phone. Verified twice..
Still work...

I will try but, when I installed crDroid 4.4.4, I lost IMEI and now I will try to recover. I used Mobileuncle Tools but not work.
Hi afi1982.
Are you going to try to fix this ROM?
I would definitely donate to you if the ROM became usable, but for the moment, I cannot use it as a functioning ROM.
Luckily, I did not experience the issues that Semper80 experienced, but it is not a usable ROM.
Can you try to fix it?
Thx.
theKramer
P.S. I created a thread on NeedROM.com for this ROM. See here: http://www.needrom.com/download/crdroid-4-4-4-unofficialzopo-c2/
This will give you access to more people, and more possibility of donations, as I dont think there are many on XDA that have a Zopo C2

[Q] Best App for Data Switch or add shortcut on dropdown

Ok still playing around with this
Flashed Uber ROM with CM12 and just loading up the apps again
On Pre paid and I switch off the data now and again. There is no option to do this on the dropdown menu from status screen. Can it be added somehow?
Whats the best app for the one plus to switch the data on and off again few on play but some don't work
Thanks
Can anyone assist with this tried everything and not sure if its the ROM or the phone?
Under settings - notification drawer -Select and order tiles
I have five tiles selected. Wifi, Bluetooth, Data connection, Airplane mode and Location. However when I pull down the dropdown menu it has all of them but when no option to turn on data via this?
I have a data toggle app but when messaging to send online easier to turn data on via the status dropdown.
Anyone?
Thanks
If the data toggle in the quick settings isn't working, long press it and you should see a little switch in the top right of the next screen, you can turn it off there.

[APP][5.0+][HTC only] 3 fingers fullscreen - hide navigation bar smartly

3 FINGERS FULLSCREEN
ABOUT
I wrote this application because I thought there was no good way to turn on/off "AUTO ROTATE" function.
If I always turn on "AUTO ROTATE", it usually rotate the device incidentally.
I don't like to turn on/off from notification list because of too many steps.
Here, I utilize 3 finger click feature (HTC only) to turn on/off "AUTO ROTATE".
Also, I add some convenient functions to hide navigation bar.
Hiding navigation bar in landscape mode is usually the best result because users wants to see real fullscreen.
INSTALL
1. adb install three_fingers_fullscreen.apk
2. adb shell pm grant com.kenzyun.three_fingers_fullscreen android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
USAGE
using 3 fingers click to trigger "AUTO ROTATE" and "HIDE NAVIGATION BAR" features
OPTIONS
1. Portrait Hide StatusBar
Hide StatusBar and Navigation Bar at the same time in portrait mode
2. Landscape HIde StatusBar
Hide StatusBar and Navigation Bar at the same time in landscape mode
3. Auto Hide Navigation Bar
For HTC Sense7, swiping hided navigation will dismiss the status.
With this options, it will hide again automatically in 2 seconds.
4. Show Notification Icon
Show or Hide the notification icon for this application
5. White List
Only the package name in the whitelist can hide statusbar or navigation bar
You can get package name of the application by "package name viewer" on Play Store.
Please use comma "," if you want to add more than one package name like "com.facebook.katana,com.evernote"

nice app. it works great on phone. using a custom rom.
I've updated the apk file today.
If the feature is enabled, it vibrates twice.
If the feature is disabled, it vibrates once.
version 1.3
SetTimer for Auto Hide Navigation bar
Nice app, thanks.
My suggestion for improvement would be to reset the timer everytime you press a nav bar button. So if I press back, for example, I get another few seconds before the nav bar disappears.

update v1.4 to reset timer after window changed.
Open this feature at Settings > Accessibility > 3 fingers fullscreen [ON]
Its a really great idea for an app. But I unfortunately can't get it to install: if I tap on the apk from within android, I get a "parse error" like when you try to install a lollipop+ apk. The adb method fails with an error message "install failed: older sdk".
My device: HTC M8_UL running stock Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6. S-Off + root.
