Hi, I'm too new here, but really need help for my LG optimus net (p690b), running 2.3.4 stock, anyone has the FM radio.apk for this?
The phone is brand new, stock 2.3.4 but without the FM radio app, software version v10i from virgin mobile, didnt change anything yet. Knowing most people who have this usually have FM radio even on stock, just need an apk if someone can help... well, ... me too new here.
It dose have internet radio and will cost your data plan, but that is not i want.
Tried Spirit FM radio already with no luck, the FM receiver did catch signal well as you can see it from the screen, but however there is no audio no matter how u adjust the audio setting
Thanks!

I'm was curious to know it it is possible to listen to the local fm radio. I downloaded a program called "mobile GX P3kit" which shows that it is receiving a signal, but was uncertain how to turn that into music.
An suggestions greatly appreciated.
Quick look here and I found the below...
http://www.mobilegx.com/ppc/p3kit/p3kit.html
It shows REALTIME Radio Signal Strength from your PDA screen. It is tested on O2 XDA, but should work on other similar platform like i-mate, T-Mobile etc.

When they say radio, it not FM, the the GSM Radio in your device...
Also note, this does not need to be in "NEWS" can a MOD move?

Does any of you feel this? Once a while, I can see that the the network operator will change to "Searching" then "Home Network" and then back to my service provider's name. Sometime, it happens when I am receiving a call, and the call will be dropped and will be considered a missed call. The other party will think that my phone ran out of battery as they are directed to the voicemail.
I also have this problem, sometimes when I call out, the ringing tone that I hear is distorted, this is not the speaker problem as even with loudspeaker, the sound its the same, the tone pitch is high and distorted, even when the other party speaks, their voice are distorted and high pitch. It's like when you play a DVD movie with fast speed, the speech becomes "cartoon-ish"
The problem resolves only if I reboot my phone, does this got to do with my phone or the radio ROM?
Even after reflashing the phone with the same original firmware, the problem persist. Another friend of mine using the same phone which he bought together with me complained the same problem at times.
FYI, I am using Dopod 577w installed with AKU2 patch
ROM version : 2.0.11.0
Operator version : 2.5.39.2
Radio version : 4.1.13.15_02.29.01
i get this too
ive put it down to just crap radio rom on the stock aku2 update from vodafone
which one do you get, the line dropping or the distorted sound when calling ?
yea i thought it was just me having this crazy thing going on... the carrier changes to display "HOME SERVICE" the back to its name... tho i never experienced it the call dropping and stuff...
carrier changes just before a call or txt msg
doesnt drop though
Try radio 2.61.01. On my Qtek8310 I install this radio and have no such kind of problem like you have.
I've attached an older radio version. I am using this with rom version 2.0.9.0. The radio that came with that ROM didn't seem to work well (had similar problems to what you describe, and others), at least in the US with Cingular service. This radio, (1.14.00) seems to do quite well. I am trying to extract the radio ROM from the latest cingular 2125 ROM (2.0.13.0), but haven't had any luck.

Any stable and good radio rom? What do you guys think about the Radio rom from QTEK -radio 2.61.01
and btw, what's the difference between Operator version and Radio version as in my first post?
Mirror to Radio 01.14.00: http://zlydengl.files-upload.com/217114/radio_01_14_00.rar.html
Works fine! But - still testing
Your link is null
zyldenGL--good question!! I have no idea what ROM it was from originally, but it works great.
karhoe--I tried the link that I posted, and it works.
i found out that fm radio isnt implemented in cm9 yet,
however,
ive tried installing spirit fm and it seems to crash upon opening.
not sure if its a faulty copy of the program, or perhaps others have encountered this same problem.
otherwise ill just give up on radio function in ics 4 for now...
TL;DR
G2X w/ CM7 Bluetooth Streaming media text (track info) works, but calling doesn't
G2X w/ 21Y Bluetooth calling works, but streaming media text doesn't.
Is there a way to fix one or the other?
Hello,
I have a T-Mobile G2X and use a base install of CM7 with gapps.
I recently purchased a Pioneer FH-X700BT stereo receiver for my vehicle. The nice gentleman who installed it briefly went over the features including the bluetooth. When using the bluetooth media streaming it worked superbly. Whether I used the device music player, Google Music or Akimbo (for my audiobooks) the song track / artist info is displayed. However when he attempted to use the bluetooth calling features there was just hissing and static. He wasn't able to figure out why this was and showed me how it functioned correctly with his blackberry phone. I figured: "well crap, maybe there is finally a reason not to use CM7 on my phone."
After returning home I reverted my phone back to a backup of 21Y. Bluetooth calling works great, but now my media info is no longer displayed. Back and forth, same problems.
After searching on XDA I came across the New Baseband Fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776843) thinking it might be related, but alas no such luck.
It seems I can have bluetooth calling or bluetooth media info, but I would like both (even if I have to use stock). Is there an app that will make sure my track info is streamed while using stock? Is there a ROM that has both bluetooth calling and track info streaming?
Thank you for your assistance,
BigRedOgre
Yes this is a problem with the new baseband (March 2012) I don't think there's a fix for it yet. There's a few methods to downgrade back to the old baseband where it was working but it's sorta hit or miss. A lot of people have trouble getting it to work.

TwitchyEye,
Yes, I found that in my searches; concerning the bluetooth calling. I didn't find anything on the streaming media info. Are they both related to the baseband?

BigRedOgre
I'm not really sure about the streaming. My understanding is it was working fine, but I haven't tried it myself. Surely someone around here has personal experience with that end of it.

Yeah, New baseband with CM7 = no call audio but media should work. T-Mobile 2.3.4 stock = both working.
If you want CM7 and both working you need to downgrade the baseband.

this is the ONLY issue I have with my phone on new baseband with CM7. Especially since my car has built in bluetooth calling. I misses it =(

but you have to go with an older version of CM7 right? 7.2 didn't work for me with the new baseband. no audio.

Not quite. CM7 with new baseband requires flashing new baseband zip file (search the forum), but you would have just media over Bluetooth, not call audio over it, however call audio over phone and speaker should work.

I have a Rooted MOTO G 1033, Stock rom, Xperience Kernel +15.
The problem is that the FM Radio default app can tune stations but there´s no sound, I can listen mp3 music, phone ringing, every alert sounds are audible as well, except this specific issue, everything else is fine.
I tryed unistall the default app, reinsltalled it , tryed others FM Radios apps like Spirit v1, but they didn´t work.
If somebody just had the same problem, please share with us your experience.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I just found the solution.
The problem began when I installed Screen Cast Enabler app, it´s known it could have some audio issues, but I only tryed to remove it without disabling it´s features. So as it didn´t fix the radio I thought it wasn´t the problem.
Then I realized that I should disable all of it´s features and restart the phone and that solved the fm radio problem.
