[Q] Samsung tab silver part get scratch - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friend I have a samsung tab 2 p3100 and it has deep scratch on the silver part ( I think it is said bezel or benzel like that don't know) and I want to know that it be can replaceable and from where can I buy it.

why not get an OEM case to hide it?
why not get an OEM case to hide it? I am using a Samsung Tab2 case that I bought from BrandSmartUSA, would not recommend them for anything, however they had the cases for 35, its a great case. Caution with BSUSA as they evidently get factory rejects and seconds from all over the world, didnt know this till a brand new microwave went tits up haver 100 days old.

But I want the front bezel Because it not look good. I think it can be replaceable like Galaxy s, s2 and 3 but I didn't the bezel for tab2

I think an easier way would be to just get a skin. You know, like a sticker that covers the whole bezel. You can have them printed with almost any design.

Will the White get dirty/yellow?

Ok guys, decided to get the Note 10.1.
I think the white version looks better, but I hate electronics that will get yellow. Any ideas? Otherwise I will just get the gray version.

Well my white SGS2 got very dirty and gray if that means anything. Just get the graphite one and put it in a nice case.

well, i hate white! i hate fingerprint and getting dirty!
so i bought a cover,white too!
i must be out of my mind!
It is the back cover which always easy to get dirty or got patches from the case (other color).
But still, white 'looks' bigger.

I guess there is a chance of that. But no one has owned it long enough to know! I usually buy black items so no history to go by.
I am sure many will question my logic, but as a precautionary measure, I plan on keeping the manufacturer's thick clear plastic backing on it for several months to a year. I do this with new laptop computers too (keep plastic on back of lid). The thing is, you will hardly feel /notice it when using the 10.1 device. It takes away the worry about scratches and discolouration from wear and tear or from coloured cases. Plus, if u r selling, can inch up the price via the 'this is a hardly used item' argument

So true. I quess im a hybrid, my bezel is white but the back is grey. Purchased from BB and the box was sealed....
Bought the grey model! The white looks nice, but just didnt want to take the chance.
Thinking of getting the Note 2 in gray, so it will match.
The SGS3 case seems to really repel the dirt, if the SGnote 120.1 case is made of the same material it won't get dirty...
SGS2 white body was a joke, had a friend whose S2 was really bad looking by the end of thed 1st week. My S3 has been with me for over 2 months now and no problems...
Depends what Samsung used in the manufacture of the 10.1's body...

Yes they may have really improved it. I stayed away from white because of my SGS2 getting stained so quickly. White does look nice however since I have mine in a case anyway graphite is good.

Put a protective film on it and don't worry about it. I prefer the polycarbonate back to aluminum, but aluminum does have greater abrasion resistance. By installing a protective film, you eliminate the one disadvantage of polycarbonate.

Would Samsung Note 2 10.1 cases fit the infinity?

like this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Ultra-S...2117772779287725249&pid=100010&prg=1004&rk=5&
no it wouldnt...my dad just bought the note and its much fatter and curvy than the transformer, so no it would not fit
They have different proportions - Samsung is "lower" but wider than TF700. And a bit thicker. I compared them in a shop while looking for TF700 case.

Yah same here but I bought this one from Amazon
http://www.amazon.ca/Asuxtek®-Trans...6TOY/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1349619118&sr=8-9
Waiting for it to arrive
Accidentally ordered Samsung tab 2 10 case for my Infinty. If you use force real hard, it would go in there, look very bad and block some of the plugins.
And just when I was going to write some bad reviews to Amazon I double checked that what it was I actually ordered and realized that made some classical mistake there.
Good one of my friends have that tablet so didn't go to waste.

Removing mild scratches?

My 3 day old Galaxy Note 10.1 has some mild scratches on the chrome bezel because of the case... :/ I've just bought this cheap one because there isn't any other case available at the moment ... Any suggestions how to remove the scratches from the chrome part w/o removing the paint of it?

LOL thought it was just me.
One thing is for sure if they did not ask then no one would offer a case and who knows someone may have a case they would offer. I thought of an case I have but I doubt it is any better than they already have.
www.amazon.com has VERY nice cases for less than $20. Check them out.
I don't think you can remove small scratches from the silver bezel; however, with some steel wool you can make the rest of the bezel look the same and no one will notice the scratch.
** I would be very happy to send you a free case. Just forward $100 for shipping and handling to the address in my profile :silly:
You can have my slighty used black dual axis roocase for shipping cost only.

[Q] Galaxy Note 3 leather back housing for Galaxy S4

Do you know any place that is selling a back housing for the S4, that looks like the back of the note 3?
You asking a product that non existent. Most of those manufacturers even don't know how it feels and most of them no ideas like this. Maybe in future, it really look possible because the same camera & led positions on back of S4

I've been looking for back plate replacements lately as well. I specifically want a leather one.
I found this one on Amazon, but I want white: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...veASIN=B00CILRQO2&linkCode=shr&tag=guttcom-20
hmm alright, thanks!
There's one here, not real leather though.

Patiently waiting for some company to make an S4 version of the stitched Note3 back cover... :crying:
I've had this 'faux leather/chrome trim' case for a month; and it's a bit better than the black plastic version someone posted above (had that one too) - ebay search: "Silver Frame Black PU Leather Battery Door Back Cover Case For Galaxy S4 i9500"
yeah, this would be nice :good:

The note 3 has been out for a while now. Anyone seen any backs for the S4?
http://www.fonearena.com/blog/94893...-s4-mini-go-black-with-faux-leather-back.html
I don't really care if it looks identical to the official one, I just want a backplate with a better grip (without having to resort to cases.) So far I've only been able to find cheap Chinese/Taiwanese crap where the "leather" sticker starts to peel off in a week. I would've thought that Samsung releasing "faux-leather" back on Note 3 would be a kick in 3rd-party accessory market.

I haven't actually purchased any, but reviews on Amazon (1 and 2 star ones) usually tell you what to not buy.

faux leather will come in different colors like white:
oh, no links jet. will add later
I have found a marketplace that sells them and have ordered one direct from S. Korea. Keep your eyes on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646803&page=5
I self-appointed myself as the guinea pig in the purchase after I found a seller, so I'm asking that no one else order one until I can confirm that it is, indeed, the real deal. I estimate that I should have the back plate by, at the latest, mid next week due to EMS shipping and by it going through customs.

[VIDEO] Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Griffin Survivor vs Samsung Book Cover

I haven't really made a video in a while since I've been so busy at work. Had to force myself to do this one. Thought it might be helpful if you're trying to figure out which case suits your needs more. Please reply if you have any questions about either of these cases. I have a glass screen protector coming in soon. Using the Griffin without the built in screen protector changes the location of the buttons on the side enough that they are harder to hit.
The video is sloppy, long, and lengthy btw. I know...
EDIT: Glass Screen Protector Install - http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../video-galaxy-tab-s-8-4-glass-screen-t2966326
Looks good! Griffin cases protected my ipad from a high drop. I might get this one since I may drop it soon. Since July i have not dropped my tab s yet. Thanks for the video!
That's a great review. I'm waiting on my 10.5 tab s and purchased the s book cover. I think it's gorgeous and you can't beat oem

Thanks. I really hope the glass screen protector works with that. It'd be a pretty nice setup at that point.

I put the Book Cover back on while I wait for the screen protector. It definitely looks clean and professional. Plus being able to support the weight by the cover makes it easy to hold / flip the cover on.
Had anybody seen the book covers on sale anywhere? I'm thinking I'm going with one of those.
Im wondering what is that shiny plastic thing on the back of your Tab S is that a 8.4 thing?
Are you talking about the two black clips on one side?

My 8.4 WiFi only model came in the paper sleeve you described.
Is it possible that you have a WiFi only model. The OP has the AT&T LTE version and AT&T has a tendency to package their products differently.

I hope you never drop yours if you bought the book cover! I dropped my 8.4 in my Samsung official book cover the other week onto a carpeted office floor and it bent the tab just enough to break the AMOLED LCD (without, oddly enough, breaking either the front glass or the tempered screen protector I had on it). Given that it's costing me around 70% of the purchase price to get it repaired (buying a tab with the most expensive screen tech available suddenly doesn't seem so smart), I'm kicking myself for assuming the official accessory would be pretty rugged.
Currently looking at buying a cover that's bombproof.
