Has anyone been running cm10.1 nightlies on the Verizon GS3? If so is it daily driver material and what bugs have you found, thanks.

Phone app closes a lot. Everything else is fine.

I'm running the 12-31-12 nightly version of CM10.1 I've noticed the following bugs:
-On exiting from emulators, certain games the screen flickers occasionally
-Random reboots
-Google voice search crashes and cannot be used (Google voice search app has stopped responding)
-Minor bugs in Dead Space (Item profiles not showing up)
-Voice command apps crash on startup
-Occasional screen will turn off but phone will still be running
-Some emulators freeze and buttons won't respond, have to remove battery to restart
I'm sure there's more minor problems I'm not mentioning, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

So I've been experiencing a few vibrations on my Inspire 4g similar to that of a fc but without the fc message. I'e also noted a new folder on my sd card labled bug report. Anyone experience this as well? The folder is now loaded with 10 text files similar to logcats.
I'm getting that too. Only one file, 3.29mb in size.

After looking at the logcat in the file, it appears I have a bunch of permissions issues. Having the custom ROM installed, I am using ROM manager to fix them. Hopefully that will help. It is finding a bunch.
Seems to be working better now. No vibrations yet.

I can report no vibrations since running the permissions fix.
Going to have to look further why it's happening to me, although none in the past few hours. I don't have any custom roms installed, yet
Hello,
I've tried a few games which is controlled by G sensor for playing, however, none of them could be played, because once the game is started, the object always turns to the right side.
e.g. When I play NFS 14, the car is always turning to the right side itself, no matter how I adjust the direction of the tab.
Meanwhile, the screen orientation works fine, which means, when using other apps, the screen will rotate vertically or horizontally properly.
I did not try the g sensor games with stock rom, the day I received the tab, I rooted it and installed CM9 STABLE.
Anyone could come up of sth that could be helpful?
Tks a lot.
See if their are options in setting to calibrate sensor or app in google play
or try to delete cash and dalvik cash (not factory reset as it will delete all apps) in cwm menu and try
or install cm10 and try again
try sensor with other game to see if the game not optimized or the sensor work bad with other games also

Tks for ur suggestion.
I'm not quite familiar with CM9, though I have looked around in the settings but see nothing about G sensor calibration.
Have tried several G sensor control games, all with same problem.
Does anyone meet such problem?
Will try later when CM 10 stable comes.
I'm now in cm10 and tried cm9 and even that cm10 is called nightly it is stable for me have not found any problem yet or any functions that do not work till now will not return to cm9 as you know development nearly stopped in cm9 so if the problem in coding of censor calibration may not be fixed
you could try to send a private message to codeworkx he may fix it

Tks for ur suggestion.
Will try CM 10 later.
Not going to bother codeworkx now because I'm not sure whether it is hardware problem of my device.
Hi I'm facing a few issues as follow:
Unreliable Google now app search function - sometimes typing an app name doesn't cause any app to appear.
No sharing function after taking screenshots using long press method - allows you to edit and draw on the picture but unable to share straight from it.
Buggy recent apps menu - sometimes when pressing on one of the recent app, the click doesn't register and it takes me to a random app instead.
Anybody face similar issues?

I have an issue where the keyboard keeps on disappearing on my Xoom running the TeamEOS nightly builds.
It has been there for some time, and still is not resolved.
Whenever I am typing a message and try to type using individual letters rather than swiping, the keyboard keeps on disappearing and taking a few attempts to get is to reappear.
I can't see anyone else with this issue and an accompanying fix, although there are a few suggestions of wipe and reinstall.
I would have posted in the TeamEOS forum, but I haven't enough posts to be allowed.
Thanks,
David.

Thanks for the info.
Do you have any suggestions for a good alternative?
I do like swipe typing, but would also like one with number keys always visible...
Thanks,
David.

Thanks for the info. I was having the same problem and that seems to have fixed it.
Did you fix it by disabling auto correct or by selecting a different keyboard?
I am using touch pal at the moment but would love to fix the standard one.

I found this tutorial and decided to make a video of it for you.It would work only with snapdragon 800 devices running Kitkat 4.4+ and rooted. This won't work otherwise at the moment.Make sure you update to the latest play services and Google search apps.

I'm on ls980 works great! Thanks! I've been waiting so long for this feature!
Works fine with T-mobile 801
German language?
Anyone get this working on cloudyfa's G3 port? I've tried installing the updated Google play services (5.0.88) but it won't install. I was able to get it to work on Mahdi's 6/28 ROM with no problem.
Word of warning this broke alarms for me. Just made them silently dismiss themselves.

I would be all over this if it worked from screen off

Why can't I find these options?
I downloaded the apk files and ran UTG but I don't have the option to force close google search. It just shows me app info. What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: I finally got it to force close. had to go to Apps/All/Goggle and force close that way if anyone runs into the same issue.
Seems like this would create a wake lock and cause battery drain

works well for me on Eng Lang.
Has anyone tried this on the ATT version?
I did everything you said but when I get here to say "OK Google 3 times it wont listen to the first one.
With it force activated via language change etc, the camera will not record video, saying 'unable to record video while in call'. Untick the option for every screen listening and the camera is able to record once again.
So seems like it always listening makes the camera think it is permanently in a phone call. Annoying.
Sorry if it's mentioned already.
Make sure to disable LG "On Screen Phone" if you use it That's what stopped it working on my G2 (International)
Works perfectly on vs980 running cloudyfa g3 rom. Thank you!

This actually broke my alarm too. It seems it breaks the alarm while screen off. The alarm will however go off, if the screen is on....wtf? Any ideas?
installed this on my Flex. now when i want to record a video it says cant record cause something else is using my audio.
